Last year i went to both and id say walmart is worse! Carts blocking lans, lines from the front to the back of the store...BB was OK, i even got transformers Blu ray for 10 bucks... crowd wasnt that bad..

True. I think they also did this last year. They had tons of Barbie Horse Riding Adventures and other junk my niece wouldn't even buy (and they all were "jacked up" in price). Don't waste your time unless they specifically list or show a picture of a game in their ad.

Just like all sales, it's very YMMV.

I've noticed last year at my local BB they had 2 people per register (1 to scan, 1 to bag and/or price adjust). Manager was too busy making sure people weren't killing each other, checking his sales figures every 30 minutes and making sure employees aren't "hooking up" their friends and relatives.

Unless something comes down from Corporate stating something to the effect of "NO PMing on Video Games or Systems, you should be ok. However, due to the "almost" recession proof nature of video games (as well as the recent hit they just took on PMing MW2 + GC), this could be a possibility.

I'd just call the Wednesday before if you're concerned. Make sure you get the name of the person who says "yes we do" just in case (and make sure that person is working that BF morning). I've always done that and a couple of times I had to drop that person's name (which I hate doing) to get my stuff PMed.

I remember this. Hopefully I don't order any late-droppers on Friday. I guess it's mostly based on luck or randomness, but if there's a niche or not-so-popular game on sale on Friday, it's a good sign that it'll be cheaper a few days after. I remember I got Personal Trainer: Cooking for DS, brand new, for $5, even though the game had just come out for $20.

You don't really have to wait until BF unless you want to - I was looking around Best Buy on Sunday (by Perimeter Mall outside of Atlanta, GA if you want the location) while my wife was at the mall and they had a 42-inch Samsung Plasma 720p for $497. That's brand new in the box - not for the display or an open-box model and it also wasn't a sale price.

I didn't grab the model number or anything unfortunately because there was no way my wife was going to let me get another TV. From the picture quality in the store, games would look pretty nice on it. You should check out your local store - you might get lucky and snag something great without having to fight the crowds.

I wonder if that's a discontinued model that they are trying to clearance out. Cheapest TV I am seeing is a 42" Panasonic Viera for $549.
 
Kohl's suck. orginal starting prices of some of their games are way over SMRP. my kohls have only wii titles. not gonna go there.
 
I'd keep an eye out for pricing from NewEgg.com, Amazon.com, JR.com, 6ave.com and OnCall.com for TV prices from Internet vendors. My BF TV score from last year was from Amazon and from three years ago was from JR.com.

I just want Dirt 2 and Forza 3 at a good price. I already bought every other game that I wanted as it released or shortly after. I might buy Left 4 Dead 2 if it is really cheap but that is doubtful. Really cheap being like $20.

wow man. i thought at least target would have some decent deals. black friday video game sales are starting to look more like regular sunday ads to me. 20 dollars is usually the right price for me, i don't see a whole lot of decent 20 dollar selection at all. i'm hoping best buy pulls through.
 
I expect Amazon to be matching or beating many or all of those Target deals, as they were doing last year. I don't see that being much of a reach for Amazon with those prices.

My KDL-52XBR6 I picked up from Amazon last BF was $600+ dollars off anything I could find in-store with tax figured into the mix, plus it was shipped right to my door without any cost.
 
Most likely I won't be buying many games this BF. Due to the ECA stacking, I've already purchased every newish title I have an interest in. Maybe there will be some $9.99 fodder I'll buy despite knowing it will just be thrown to the end of a backlog I will never catch up on.

Hopefully Amazon will have a good deal on 40+ inch HDTV as I am in the market for a new one and will have some credit to burn there.

I'm shocked Batman isn't at least $30 somewhere. I think the $30 Dead Space was the big one Target did last year, but Amazon made it even better with no tax.
 
Yeah seriously that Target list is awful. Shaun White for $7 is very tempting. I am not sure, but those $10 off 2 games coupons will still be valid on Black Friday right? You could potentially get two copies of the game for $4.

I'm tempted to get the Video Rocker 2 just because I could use one. Not sure how sturdy that product is.
 
This is probably the worst target ad in years. Bunch of gift cards give away. A usual target ad was the 37 dollars deal on any of the call of duty and NBA 2k's but they totally fail this year.

Rock Band PSP is pretty good for 7 bucks if you like the music. Ya, overall the deals are not that great, including their toys. I find target advertised deals are usually not very good, but their clearance stuff on games/electronics/toys are some of the best deals you'll ever find. A few days after Christmas last year a ton of their toys went to 75 percent off.
