Why is everyone so "don't wanna get trampled for a game" - head to a smaller town where there may be less people and with the 1 hour deal they will be doing. what is there to fear/bitch about already? I mean, my stores aren't ever that bad. But I guess if you're in Compton, Houston, Brooklyn and shit.. yeah, skip it.

Yeah, the closed Walmart to me is in a buffer zone. It is within a couple of miles of a college university, ghetto/white trash-ville, and uppity rich town where some people still shop. It's an interesting mix.

I went in there after work on BF of last year around 7 PM and it was still like a bomb went off. There were shopping carts full of random games/dvd's/blu rays tossed in it and you had to sort through it to find anything of worth.

Thankfully at the time I found what I was looking for in RDRGOTY and GOW Collection.

You can take Houston out. There is so many of them around this city. If one store doesn't have it, I just go to another not far away and just rinse and repeat until you find one. It happened last year with WWE 13, at the 3rd store boom I found it. If people are bum rushing just start throwing elbows.

The $10 off coupon this summer. I bought MS points at a discount and didn't received the code after a couple hours of waiting. Tried again with another account and got banned. I talked with CS but they were useless. Can't even add Paypal as a payment option on the Xbox.

Last year I went at midnight and then came back later that morning and they were pretty much out of most games. Could just be mine. But they were open for 9 straight hours when I came back so its pretty possible that they ran out of stock.

They in my experience have lots of copies that are open but still "new" and thrown in a huge bin. You might get lucky and find that they have a still sealed copy though.

. That is a great idea! Two years ago I was the first to the ps3 kiosk and I literally played that role, I kept track of what was left and the guard even let us move all the games we were interested in around so we were each standing next to a row with our specific games and less then a half hour before nearly everything was called for and the group informed the handful of last minuet people who came by, it was great, I played my Ds nearly the entire 2-3 hours lol

My walmart and gamestop are next door to each other... 

Got $50 cash and $13 credit on amazon....  Need to try and buy something with that credit that I wanted on black friday and buy AC4 for $35.. And be done with it all!

 
If you look at the ad, not all games are covered on the 1 hour in-stock guarantee.

Looks like AC4, BAO, NBA2K14, GTA5, and CODG are the only games covered.

Everything else looks like first come, first served.

 
People who wait to get a raincheck won't get one. There will be such a mess and such a rush to get them that they will be gone before you can find someone who will look at you long enough to give you one. In any case, you will likely only have time to get a card for one.

What will happen?

Let me tell you.

There will be some weird glitch that comes up earlier in the day that will let people get in on the deals early. It will get on cag and there will be a 76 page thread within an hour with people asking if it's going to work in their Lawrence, KS store, asking in a near panicked way.

People will buy more than they planned to because they can. 

On top of this, there will be tons of online versions of these deals which will allow you to get it all done ages before people start getting purchases rang up at B&M.

So no, I wouldn't suggest banking on these rain checks.

 
oh and tomb raider and walking dead si for 15$. hope bestbuy matches tomb raider so i can get it as a gift and walking dead so i can use the @gamer coupon for a free stocking stuffer
 
Anyone have a general ETA on when GS is going to update their site for deals, if they do at all? BB usually is a few hours before midnight. 

First time I'm going to be buying from them this BF. Xilla, Ni No Kuni, DW8 and that PSN + are too good to pass up on.

Looks like I'm sticking with Meijer, which I think has the best gaming deals so far.

Also Meijer imo is easiest to shop at. It is not nearly as crazy as Walmart.
