Heres a tip for those thinking about getting the $15 Tomb Raider for Xbox 360 at Walmart or Best Buy:

A Tomb Raider download card is part of this years Xbox Holiday hardware bundle. In past years these game codes from the holiday bundles have been plentiful and dirt cheap on eBay right after the holidays. I guess people receive the bundle as a gift and sell off the game codes on eBay if they already have the game or don't want it anyway. In past years I got codes for Skyrim and Alan Wake on eBay really cheap right after Christmas below $10 with free email shipping. I have no doubt that you'll be able to snag a Tomb Raider download card less than $15 as well this season the same way....probably around $7.

Anyone have any feedback on either of the wireless printers in the Best Buy ad?  I know it isn't gaming related but the Envy 4504 has no information out there (seems to maybe be a store specific version of the 4500).  Just realized I haven't actually looked at anything Target/walmart related outside of gaming so far. Should probably do that as gaming is so lackluster this year...

 
I'm just glad this yea i only have to goto Walmart for last of us and tomb raider, and then gamestop for no no kuni and xilia. and i have 3 gamestops within 5 min of each other (one in a plaza and then 2 in a mall across the street) so my chances are good for ni no kuni and xilia. I keep trying to find a reason to get stuff like KH 1.5remix and whatnot but $20 still isnt great, as I feel it'll go lower than that at some point plus i own every KH game already (but im halfway thru birth by sleep and never played the others. i got them all when they hit $5-10 when i worked at Game Crazy or from amazon when they were $5-15).

But yea should be an easy black friday as this year I dont need tvs or consoles or anything like that.

 
I'm still trying to figure out what I want.  I've been waiting for some BF deals on WWE 2k14.  The best deal i've seen so far as at Meijer for $30 which isn't in my state.  Is WWE 2K14 included in any of the Wal-Mart game deals?  I don't remember seeing it.  I wouldn't mind picking up GTA V too but that will probably go quick.

 
Just want the The Last of Us for $25/$35. Maybe Splinter Cell: Blacklist for $25.

I don't know, Cyber Monday was pretty great. I got Starfox 64 3D, Kid Icarus Uprising, and Paper Mario Sticker Star for 20 bucks apiece. I'd say that was pretty good!

 
Not too sure if I should bite on some consoles this year. Really want a PS3 and a system with Batman and LoU for 199 sounds pretty nice. Also want to upgrade my 3DS to an XL, already got a vita from radio shack but am keeping that sealed just in case a crazy vita bundle gets announced. I'll probably just be getting some Xbox Live and PS Plus then to top everything off. Also gotta keep a lookout for a wireless printer,

 
Will be my first time trying to buy something on BF, so any suggestions on how early to go to walmart for the $199 ps3 bundle?  And is it likely the bundle will sell out fast?

Last year the Xbox and ps3 bundles were plentiful. You could go to best buy, Wal-Mart, sams, gamestop, target if you wanted to

edit: I thought you meant digital download or retail box. For those the price should match, and I'm guessing the website will have it for that price too.

Depends on your area, i have two walmarts close to me but from past years experience one of them is slightly less crowded than the other. 2011 BF i wanted to upgrade to xbox slim so i went about 2 hours before the start time for xbox slim plus kinect bundle(it was $200 plus free 50 gift card to give u idea of deal) and was in comfortable place in line but it definitely got huge line and a lot of people that showed up about hour before were turned away.

I heard the new slim models dont seem like theyll last long. Its made from cheaper and it has a sliding door top loading disc tray!! So much dust is gonna get in there, and ever time you load a game potential to damage laser i personally just bought the previous model used, i think it will last longer than even a new slim ps3 model but thats just imo.

Tips for BF--DONT FREAK OUT! LOL Walmart is the worst for crazy masses of people but stay calm and youll be good.
-NEVER USE A CART!!

-Bring friends to help you if u want more than just ps3 bundle ex. have them wait for ps3(which will be organized and calm) while u wait at games/movies(games/movies displays will be super crowded at walmart, its a free for all).

-Bring your own reusable shopping bags for game and movie grabs, etc.

-Have a gameplan, know where things will be (walmart usually posts map of where major items will be(if they haven't already) ps3 will be on there for sure).

-Bring entertainment for waiting in line like a psp, nds, laptop etc.

-In past walmart has not allowed me my own chair so bring like a cushion to sit on floor in ps3 line if you want to be comfy

When you say wait in line.. was this inside the store? It's like freezing temperatures where I am (east coast) so I'd rather not freeze my nips off for 2 hours just to save a few bucks.

Also did you take into account that this is Thanksgiving day 6pm? I actually don't think it'll be that crowded. I live in a fairly small town so maybe I'll get lucky on that aspect. Sigh* I so didn't want to go out on Thanksgiving day. What a hassle. Why are stores doing this now? It's called Black FRIDAY for a reason.

This might be the dumbest thing I've ever asked, but can you shop online for the lg 55" HDTV best buy has on the bf ad? Or maybe just maybe amazon might have something good. I usually go to the stores but this year might do the whole online thing.

There are a few on eBay now that are sub $15. But some people really don't like the digital only format. But for those that don't mind and don't want to deal with crowds, not a bad deal.

This was not allowed last year, at least, not in my area. Signs were posted in layaway specifically advising people it wouldn't work.

Obviously it could be different this year, but solely relying on this method might not be foolproof.

as I've been doing this for 3 yrs and have no intention of being in these stores during prime time

also even with the signs up it still would've worked as its all in the computer system,

and prices are adjusted automatically (obviously not if your price matching another store)

store managers can say what they want its not up to them

I only buy new products. I don't know...I've had bad experiences there before. I just don't like their customer service and I'm more knowledgeable than a lot of employees I've dealt with. Needless to say, it's turned me off from them. Also, I'd prefer to do all my my shopping online. Even though Gamestop is also online, I'd rather purchase from Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart....just about any other company than deal with anything associated with them. I mean, I know not all of them are like this, but those bad experiences have left a bad taste in my mouth. So I try to shop there as little as possible. I did buy their exclusive version of Beyond : Two Souls, though. You guys remember Game Crazy? That was my Gamestop.

there wasnt game crazy in the east coast as far as i remember. i do remember funko land (which gamestop swallowed up) lol. and i much rather go outside and shop on bf as its more exciting for me :D
 
Think anyone will do a good sale on digital download of Battlefield 4 for PC? Gamestop's deal seems like it will apply to physical copies.

there wasnt game crazy in the east coast as far as i remember. i do remember funko land (which gamestop swallowed up) lol. and i much rather go outside and shop on bf as its more exciting for me :D

I live on the East Coast too lol, there were at least 4 or 5 Game Crazy's that I knew of in Maryland. One was right up the street from my house which was nice. But yeah, when Hollywood Video went down, Game Crazy went right along with it unfortunately. I remember at least one Funcoland I used to go to in an old mall in Baltimore. There's at least one or two Power Gamers still around here, and they're pretty cool. Like Game Crazy, they sell a lot of old-school games. I gotta check out this Estarland place, though. It's like gaming heaven on Earth. lol, alright man you be safe out there. If I were to go out, I'd be that causalty you'd read about on the news. My luck is that bad LOL.

Part of the black friday fun for me is actually going to the store at an early time and physically picking up whatever item I wanted. I know there's some sweet deals online and it's cozier but I've had some fun times with friends and brothers at black friday sales.

other than the ps3 i got for my dad two black fridays ago and last years ps 3d monitor i rarley go for hardware so i let the zombies fight over that while i get my games/movies. i always say to myself ”dance puppets dance” as they do battle with eachother lol

You should know the Best Buy online deals a few days before when they allow the early BF event for silver members. Last year I think just about everything but the door busters were online, most of the larger screen TV's lasted well into the day.

I agree, have done that several years. These early start times are making it more difficult though...

 
I get especially giddy with new hardware and I'm considering getting a PS3 and a 3DS XL. Already got my vita and am looking at the XboxOne. The early start times don't actually bother me personally since I spend Thanksgiving with all of my extended family and we don't usually get together for dinner till about 9. So I might actually get some of my shopping done before dinner!
