Cool. Thanks man. That 500 GB PS3 bundle with GTA V you mentioned is definitely the better deal. I'd much rather have 2x the HDD space than an extra game.

Any idea if amazon will post a schedule of deals like they did last year or just stick with this preview?  Tempted to head to walmart friday and try to grab the last of us and beyond two souls but I'd rather try and get em from amazon and save the time, not to mention tax

The reason this year's BF PS3 bundle deal is so good (IMHO) is because of the two games included in the bundle- The Last of Us is one of the year's (if not the generation's) best games that has rarely been on sale (never below $40 new) since it came out in June. Batman: Arkham Origins is the third entry in an amazingly high rated and selling franchise starring BATMAN that came out less than a month ago.

Last year's 250 GB PS3 BF bundle contained the Uncharted Dual Pack and the inFAMOUS collection, which are five amazing (again, IMHO) games, but the most recent release of them came out over a year before the bundle was announced and released.

Of course, you could argue that the bundle should be cheaper this year because the hard drive capacity is the same size and the PS3 is a year older (and the PS4 has released), but I think the quality and recent-ness of the bundled games justifies Sony maintaining the price of the bundle for this year. Now, if by NEXT year they still haven't made it cheaper than $200 to acquire a PS3 a full year after the PS4 has been out, then we can complain.

Yup. Especially if someone plans to get PS+, you will need all that space to download all the free games!

I wanted the $99 walmart deal but I found out the E model doesnt have an optical output, so I can't use my Astro Mixamp unless I buy a $40 box from Monoprice to convert the audio. If you use any gaming headphones, that might be a problem.

The Best buy offer seems to be last retailer to be offering the Slim model as a bundle. For myself, the slim model would be a better offer because I want a backup for my aging Xbox 360 Elite.

 
The only last gen games I want are The Walking Dead GOTY and Metal Gear Rising, both of which are $30 MSRP and won't be on sale for BF. Oh well. Also surprised that no one has SimCity on sale.

While that seems like what they did, since they do stuff like that all the time, the $34 price for GTAV that Amazon will offer is just a price match from Walmart's BF ad.

Of course they did. Loss leaders exist because the stores know that enough people will also impulse buy profitable items that it works out for them. Amazon gets the benefit of knowing that most of their non-Prime customers use FSSS. By pricing it one dollar below and the nature of their staggered sales and only being able to hold an item for a few minutes forces you to quickly find regular price, or less sharply discounted, items to add in. Last year probably 30-40% of my Amazon spending during sales was in items to get FSSS. Single reason I caved and went Prime after that.

YMMV. However, in my area, Target doesn't get ransacked the way stores like Walmart and Best Buy traditionally do. You could probably get away with arriving an hour before open.

Wait so for Kmart I have to take 2 seperate trips to get Zelda and Mario 3D World? the sales seem to be at different times?

 
Looking at these lists makes me sad because everyone who are having sales on the big multiplatform games like Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, and Arkham Origins seem to be leaving the WiiU version out of the sale. Is it possible they just don't bother to mention the WiiU version is on sale as well, or am I wishing for too much?

I could get the 360 or PS3 versions, but I want to actually buy some WiiU games.

If they are, I will buy from them before I go through Gamestop. If they can get me The Last of Us, Borderlands 2 GOTY (for PS3), and 1 Year of PS+ for $30 each, at best? I will not have to leave the house.

 
I am very much on the fence..... I really like the Blue Luigi mansion bundle for 149.  On the other side a brand new 3dsxl is also nice for 149

guys is the ratchet and clank deal at kmart a 6am door buster deal or are the tvs on the page the door busters only. im asking cause i dont want to go there around midnight only for the price to not be active yet. just want to make sure

I want to get the PS3 250 GB bundle, preferrably at Best Buy as there's one walkable from my place and I have some credit. However, it's just a doorbuster? What does that mean, exactly? Should I not even hope to saunter over there Friday and grab one? As good of a deal as it is, I don't know that it'll be a hugely popular item. Maybe I should buy Amazon gift cards with my Best Buy credit and hope they have a similar deal at some point?

Treat it as rumor at best for now and we likely won't know until it happens because that's how Amazon does most of this. We know GS is doing them for sure so if you absolutely have to have it I would try there first personally. With any luck I'll be rolling out of Kmart and getting to GS not too long before they open to grab a couple PS+ cards.

The ad says 6AM for it. Which is too bad since it would be a lot less annoying to grab it at the same time I'm in there getting SMB 3D World.

Would Wal-Mart/Best Buy/etc price match the Thanksgiving ad for K-Mart? From all the ads I can find for it it looks like A Link Between worlds is $30, so that'd be great to get in on if possible.

So Kmart is doing Thanksgiving doorbusters starting at 6 a.m. on Thanksgiving day. That is when you have to get Legend of Zelda: Link Between Worlds.
