How is Walmart stock for games on Black Friday? What are the odds in your experience of having something like Beyond or BF4 in-stock 30 minutes after opening?
 
WalMart Leaks:

Got in a number of Xbox Ones and PS4's last night. Count went up to about 100 for the Xbox Ones and staying steady at 80 for PS4s. I'm thinking 100 of each is going to be the final tally of systems available. That "One Hour Guarantee" doesn't cover everything as far as I know. Only certain products are getting the treatment and my guess is that those items will either shipped at a later date or pulled from whatever stock we have on the floor or in the back. Checked on the PS3 TLoU/Arkham bundle and my store has around 50 to go around. There are still 5 more shipments of product planned for this week but that's the breakdown so far.
 

Possible Cheap Ass News:

Last year a ton of the regular merch on ad was already on sale at a cheaper price waaaaaaay before the sale started. (I picked up Max Payne 3 for $15 and Borderlands 2 along with Battlefield 3 for $25 a pop hours before the sale.) This was due to the company not repacking and changing the upc's on the back of the product themselves. Long story short, I don't see stickers over the upc's on any of the games in pallet displays this year either so we all might be able to score big and score early buying the games straight from the game case!!!

More info as it becomes available, I'm off this weekend so I'm enjoying A Link Between Worlds and turkey since I'll be working six days straight including the event day. I know us WM guys aren't the best but if somebody goes beyond the call this week for you give em a high five!

Depends completely on the store/area. Mine for example is wiped out after the sale starts within an hour. Even the crap titles no one wants are snagged up by someone by the day's end. It's the one area that's always cleaned up shortly after the sale as everything is taken and no need for empty PDQ displays sitting around.

I am hoping to pick up a copy if Assassins Creed 4 for ps3 and doing the upgrade to ps4 digital. Then selling/trading in the ps3 copy. I won't need the ps3 disc after the initial upgrade right? If it all works out it will be $35 for ps3 copy to ps4 without any extra out of pocket (after the $10 credit that came with every ps4).

If you trade the disc your PS4 upgrade will be useless. They require the disc for authentication last I heard.

I'm not sure about how well it will be refurbished because I don't know about the company that's doing it.

A manager at GameStop was talking about it months ago, so I searched when I saw your post to see if there were some solid fixes, but there weren't. There were problems with exposure of wiring, audio stopping during a stream, and some other stuff.

I don't use eBay anymore, so I definitely won't be getting this. Thanks. I hope all goes well with your purchase if you decide to get it.

Amazon recently started charging tax in 3 states that they never did before. It's Massachusetts and 2 other states in the New England area (can't remember the other 2).

They flip their tickets for every big purchase item. They're resellers too. Just willing to go to greater extremes than most. The tickets and electronics they flip adds up but somebody told me they take turns too to not make it as bad.

i personally could never do that , not even for more than 6 hours, LOL.

how are you even going to used the bathroom, along with brushing your teeth, and grooming/ hygiene wise. waiting for 5-6 days. LOL

unless you have someone with you.

Whenever I look at this I look at the time valued. Like when I went to CC BF to get a laptop for my Freshman year of college. It was $500 off (actually only $300 since I knew there was an imminent price drop after BF). But I went at 10pm the night before as I valued it at $37.5 per hour of watiing. It was worth it at that time as I semi needed one. But for people to waste 5 days for $200 off or even $600 off is just insane

The PS3 bundle for me, since I missed out on a pretty good deal for pre-owned consoles a little while back at Gamestop. $150 for any memory-sized PS3...=/ sigh. I was broke at the time unfortunately. Now I can get a 250GB with 2 games for $200, but with my Best Buy gift card it will only be $100. So essentially I'm saving money even compared to the Gamestop promotion PLUS it's a new console, not a pre-owned one.

Otherwise, some cheaper games I've seen catch my interest.

 
Don't see much in the way of X1 deals, but I already have everything I want really and the Wal Mart/Amazon sale goin on today is decent enough for those looking for games on a 2 day old system

I'm trying to figure out whether or not I should go for the 16 gb iPad Mini for $300 with the $100 gift card at Walmart or go for a 32 gb iPad Mini with a $75 gift card at Target since I'm not sure how much the 32 gb one will be. I wish Walmart would let you get a 32 gb instead of a 16 gb for the gift card.

Other than that, I'll be handing over most of my dough to GameStop for PS+, Tales of Xillia and Kingdom Hearts 1.5.

I liked a lot of the walmart games, Walmart by far has the best stuff in my opinion, however, walmart is almost always a zoo, so I go there like at 2 in the afternoon, and scavenge whatever the animals left behind. Honestly though, I almost always get the games I wanted without dealing with the crowds!

Probably the best deal out there this season game wise. You get a 250GB console with 4 games (Halo 4, Tomb Raider, Arkham City and...I forget the other one, it's in the OP) for just $180. That's cheaper than any other 360 deal on here, with a lot more value to boot.
