They automatically extended GCU for people whose subscription ended after June (I believe it was June anyways, somewhere around then). Mine expired in August, and I was extended as well. The extension is through February 10th.

Thanks to the free extension, got Batman Arkham Origins for $24, and Ultimate Scriblenauts for 3ds for $6. Also was able to get the 2ds from Walmart online for $99 (then used my $10 gift card they sent me when they canceled my order from the crazy day earlier this month).

Only thing left on my list is to try to get the Kindle HD 8.9 from Toys R Us today for 179. I am hoping Amazon will price match it. Oh and maybe see if I can get the Pacific Rim Blu-Ray at Target for $6.00

If your Xbox is the "E" or "S" model you won't need the adapter. The 4gb I believe will work with the Kinect, but game downloads vary per game, xbox arcade games can be as big as 2gb and full games can be like 7gb per disc so you'll need to buy a harddrive or at least a usb thumbdrive which can be up to 32gb if you plan on downloading games. Several physical copy games also require a harddrive or thumbdrive such as GTA V.

Just got back from Walmart and the deals are still not live in store (as far as I can tell) as of 6:30am EST when I tried.

I had the electronics cashier ring up Ratchet & Clank Collection, and it rang up at full price ($19.96).

Is it me or do this years Black Friday deals kind of suck?  Everything that is remotely a "deal" of $20 dollars or less are for old, very old games. :drool:

Although that $25 dollar Rayman Legends (Wii U) deal at Gamestop is pretty tempting.  That's really it though.

I totally agree. When the ads leaked I was prety disappointed in the sales. My sister and I usually get together and do some major online Black Friday shopping, but this year we both had maybe two or three items that we were actually able to get at the Best Buy sale this past Monday for Elite Plus members. Hopefully it's better next year.

 
ok, this might be a stupid question... but are the gamestop games that are linked going to be on sale online starting friday? because i was under the impression that all that stuff was in store only, but i really don't know. i just know i would rather buy online than drag myself to gamestop at midnight to try and grab a vita memory card  and rayman legends for a decent price.

I don't know f it has already been mentioned here or not, but it looks like the Toys R US buy one get one 40% off sale applies to pre-orders as well. I just picked up Infamous Second Son and Destiny for $95.98. I also have the Shoprunner free 2 day shipping, so it works out pretty well. Just a heads up if anyone else is interested.

They were sold out with the full price, then it was updated with the BF price but not available, but now it's nothing. They haven't actually gone on sale yet.
 
Looks like I missed out the on $149 3DS XL's on Target's site. Didn't know some Black Friday prices started this early. Tryin' to get it as a gift. The other major sites I checked are full price.

Anyone know if they'll be $149 online for Friday? If I do end up payin' full price, I'd rather get a bundle. Any info would be appreciated.

I can't believe Target already sold out of the 3DS XL's online.  I can understand if a store runs out of stock, but the web site can get their hands on as many units as they want to, even if it means delaying shipment on some orders.

This might be the dumbest thing I have seen posted yet this BF. Your argument would apply to any store since no merchandise is ever really limited unless it's literally out of print. Stores have no obligation to sell unlimited numbers of each item. The whole idea of Black Friday is to get shoppers to buy things beyond just sale items and frankly, Target isn't making anything on $150 3DSXLs.

For those of you having trouble with websites at other retailers, take a look at BestBuy.com.  They have a lot of the same deals including console bundles, and the prices are live (and mostly in stock).  Just picked up everything I wanted without leaving the house.  Amazon has a lot of the same sale items and prices, but they didn't have the Wii U bundle I wanted.  Best Buy also only requires $25 for free shipping, while Amazon has gone up to $35.  That may help if you miss 1-2 items and come back for them later since you won't need as many cart fillers.

No, this is the stupidest thing ever posted on BF. If you actually believe they aren't making anything by selling them for $150, you're nuts.

I and many others were watching the games' pages before and during the Walmart sale going "live", and they were already listed as "sold out" at full price before the switch to $25. So you will most likely have to conveniently (for walmart) try to get them in store...

I understand what you are saying.

But it really depends on how long the deal lasts, how long were these Target 3DS XL deals available? Some of the websites either seem to be playing games online, or just aren't competent (Best Buy in the past was famous for things being "unavailable" literally the second the price updates... so you have to wonder if ANYONE gets some of the deals from their website). Something is obviously wrong in those cases.

That being said, I've had alot of success online overall, including at Best Buy (sometimes stuff that is "unavailable" magically comes back later in the day). So I don't think they are trying to screw anyone over, and obviously like you say if they made the deals "unlimited" it would be too easy for the slickdealers/cheapassgamers to exploit them.

As much as I'm starting to dislike Amazon lately, I have always liked that they give out a "schedule" on their black friday deals week. Some of the other retailers should try doing that, so at least you know if you are logged in right at the moment the deal goes live you should almost certainly get the item you want.

If they have let's say 100,000 3ds xl' sand they sell 50,00 at 3:30 AM when I bought my 2, why shouldn't they hold the rest back for people not staying up or to force people to keep checking the site and increase the chances of people buying other things?

Besides, it was posted on bfads.com when these deals would go live.

I wouldn't assume the stores are turning a profit on any "doorbuster". Most likely, they aren't. Or if they are it is a very slim "grocery" margin. The idea on doorbusters has always been to get you in the store (or website) where you might also purchase other things.
