Black Friday LCD Deals?

I'm looking into replacing my huge yet clunky CRT HDTV with a flatscreen. I was wondering if you could tell me all the Black Friday specials on any screens that have the following requirements.

LCD Flatpanel
32 or more inches
All the resolution settings except 1080p (mostly so I can play PS3 games in 720p)
Reputable brand; good reviews and performance
HDMI output
Around $500-$800.

I may be able to get $500 off my old CRT, so I'm willing to pay up to a $300 difference to cover the cost.

Please post all the deals you are aware of that meet the requirements. I'd like to pass them along to an expert who can go over it so I'm certain to get the best deal. Thanks.

Does it have 720p and 1080i?

I've seen a few deals like this already, but what I'm wondering is if 2 inches really make a difference (it would be 2 inches shorter than my CRT).

Microcenter has some fantastic deals, but there aren't any where I live. Can it be purchased online?

yes, they have some great deals on the 37" which my fiancee and i will check out for $499. i believe their 42" is going for $799. i think they're only doing b&m.

Officemax allegedly will have a 37 in fo 699.

HOWEVER.

Just found out today through some random searching that Target is offereing right now (good for I dunno how long) the 37 in Olevia for $749 - %10 Coupon, so $675 plus tax and shipping.

I have a 27 in Olevia currently (had it for 18 months) and I love it. Highly considering the upgrade.

You mean Target is selling it right this moment? Where can I get the coupon you mentioned? Is this the same 37" that Microcenter is selling? It this online only or also available in stores?

Is there a chance more BF deals will show up, or are all the available deals set in stone? Finally, should I head to the store as soon as it opens (6am)? I've never actually done any of these sales before, but for a sweet deal on an LCD I'll certainly start this week.

I saw where you can apply for the coupon:

But can you also use it for in-store purchases (I prefer buying this at a local store than online)? Can you fill this same deal out in the store and get the instant 10% off?

I picked up a 32" Element from Home Depot for my bedroom, cost was $478 minus a 10% Lowe's coupon. I hooked up my 360 and hd-dvd player, PQ is fine. Very happy for the price. Read up more on it here:

I was set to camp out for the 32" westinghouse before I found out Home Depot broke the street date for Black Friday.

These are all the ones I could find under my price range (not counting the one you posted; are you saying home depot is selling it now?).

So between all those, can you tell me which one is the best deal (and remember, I need 720p and 1080i. Both or nothing). I really appreciate your input.

I ordered the Sceptre at Costco.com. It seems like there are a lot of these threads in this forum ... Maybe read some of the other recent threads and see if you can find some more information.

I ordered the Sceptre 32" LCD TV from costco.com as well. If it works, great. If it has any problems I'll just return it to a local costco. Gotta love their return policy ;)

I'm really debating picking up a tv this year. I live very near a microcenter and they have a ridiculous deal on Olevia LCD HDTV's. I've heard of the issues with 480i/p on the 532H so I'll be avoiding that one, but the 37" and 42" look pretty dang good for the prices. I mean c'mon a 42" LCD HDTV for $800?!?!? How can you beat that.

On the other hand, I can't really afford $800 for a TV, and then $300 for a premium x360 on top of that and then the additional $ per month on HDTV from my cable provider.

Part of me wants to do this deal really badly. I've been good all year, no big purchases other than a really swank leather couch that is no interest financed until Jan-08 so I needn't worry about that. No guitar purchases (my biggest vice) and no pinball machines purchased (my third biggest vice behind booze). So I've been good, I deserve something nice right? I could use a win if you know what I mean.
The other part of me sees this as one of those stress relief purchases since I've had a rough year. I'm way backed up in video games right now and getting another system won't help with that (then again I could play my backlog xbox games with upscaling...)

Help me decide since I'm terrible at pulling the trigger on stuff like this.
