Back when the PS3 launched, there was the usual console launch madness going on with ebay scalpers trying to profit.

ebay instituted a policy that all sellers of PS3s had to include a unique photo of the actual item.

CAG had a thread going where we collected some of the best. Recently, I was cleaning out my hard drive and ran across a few photos and I thought I'd share some for lulz.

On the flip side ~ I remember working the day after the PS3's came out, and we (My boss and I) saw a guy approaching our Game Crazy store with 60gb system box in tow. I called out to my boss to come see whatever this guy was about to do after seeing the guy drag the PS3 box out of the car.. I knew that it wasn't one we sold him because we only received one and I knew the guy that bought it.

The guy brings it in and much to my boss and I's dismay, it's not a PS3 (We were hoping he was trading one in - that would've been a great asset for the store, especially the day after it came out!), but a 360 and all of his games. He wanted to trade all of it in and buy some PS3 stuff. He then started to brag about how he just bought a PS3 off of Craigslist for ONLY (he stressed the "Only" part) $2400!!!.. oh man.

Anyway, he barely broke $250 on his trade and picked up a couple games and an extra controller (this was pre-DS3.. poor guy) and went on his way.
 
Wasn't there a dude in a thong in one of the pics? I remember being scared for many years from this topic.
 
That thread was epic. Along with the Mr Anderson's love life thread, it was probably one of the longest rumming threads on here.
 
I had a friend who was one of the lucky ones that flipped it before eBay banned the selling of pre-orders. I think he sold it for a $1000 to some rich brat in Jersey. They didn't know how to use paypal so the idiot parents were giving their credit card numbers over the phone to complete stranger.

I read the first few words of the thread and instantly thought of this:

i have no problem with how they all bought atleast 1 with the idea of reselling. but the one with spidey kid still pisses me off. they bought atleast 7 to resell, this is why store should have a limit. how many people went out that night and got turned away because some jackass bought 7 at once. I understand 2 but not 7

I actually walked into a Gamestop that day and bought their only PS3.

Now that video was funny. I see the guy has another one where he has 23 PS3's. I thought it was going to be him trying to sell all 3 but he is just being a jackass and bragging about how he has 3 and most don't even have one. I like it. I really liked when he said "you have no cake and I have 3 PS3's and I also have cake."
