Blazing Angels Demo on Live

Wow, I love it when the demos are on there before the game hits store shelves. Gonna have to check it out tonight.

I wonder if OXM is going to see a drop in subscriptions now. I always skimmed the mag quickly and read the features and letters, then played through the disc. But if all the demos are gonna be available before OXM ships, why bother?

Downloading now. This game is out tomorrow right? If its good I might have to pick it up. The download is taking a long time though. I'm at about 70%.
AWESOME. Now I can get the hell off the fence on this one.
Know exactly what you mean!! Thanks OP!!

My download didnt take too long. I thought it was a fun game. Graphics were ok but I liked the controls. I don't think I'd pay $60 for it but I'll probably get it when it goes down to around $20.

Appearently it is a multiplayer demo:

Microsoft and Ubisoft have released a multiplayer demo of Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII on Xbox Live Marketplace.

Developed by Ubisoft, Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII features innovative squadron-based combat, in which each artificial intelligence wingman’s specialized skill can be used to the pilot’s advantage. As a squadron leader, players can fly up to 38 WWII aircraft in both single-player and multiplayer missions.

The demo has a download size of 638.30 MB.

My download took exactly 45 minutes...Damn, E entertainment!!...my wife just took over the TV, so I guess I'll have to wait until later to try it out

Looks good.

I dunno if its multiplayer, I played single player missions on the demo. I'm on the one where you have to defend parliament from the German bombers. I think I'll buy this one, I wish this came out yesterday when I was making my orders.
Damn, three demos this week? Keep it up Microsoft!!!!
Burnout, Blazing Angels, what was the third?

Downloading it now. Looking forward to playing it after work.

Hope it's better than Heroes of the Pacific.

Battlefield: MC is supposed to be released sometime this week..

Ok, not a bad game at all. Just kind of on the backburner. Very similar to Crimson Skies. Will probably grab it when the price drops.

Does anyone else get lines moving up and down the screen when you make quick turns? I've seen some games do this before. Does it have something to do with resolutions of screens? Its a bit annoying, but no big deal.

haven't played the demo yet but I know what your talking about, I've had that happen a few times during different games.

Yeah, GRAW has it in co-op but there its more along the lines of certain parts of the environment kinda flickering in. I remember Metal Gear Solid 2 really being an example of a game that did it.

I haven't noticed that, I'll try a few different resolutions though.

I'm buying it, but I wish things were a little more realistic on the aircraft stats.. there's no way in hell a biplane would catch up to a BF-109. Plus, I'm really hoping you can turn off the auto-rolling of the aircraft. I'm used to rolling an aircraft and pulling back on the stick for turns, while using the rudder to get a more precise aim for my gunfire. I really liked the music, and the game has very well detailed in-game aircraft. Too bad there isn't a cockpit view.

Wow, I was expecting a lot more from this game and I'm probably going to cancel my pre-order today. The graphics weren't nearly as good as what a lot of the screenshots led me to believe. The voice acting and dialogue is simply terrible (I swear Joe, if you don't shut up I'm going to shoot down your plane). The controls are decent, but it was very easy to get disoriented when you were locking on to something and trying to turn around it. And like others have reported, there was an unusual amount of V-sync issues in this game that when I was playing at 720p. I much prefer Crimson Skies to this.

This is the first Xbox 360 demo that I quit early simply because I was bored with it. I made it through the training mission, the one after that, and probably about halfway into the third mission. I can't imagine I'd enjoy multiplayer much more because dogfighting against the computer felt like a chore. Trying to keep up with other humans flying around would probably drive me nuts.

This may be a decent game, but it's not for me, especially at $60. It really feels like a $20 bargain-bin game.

I had High hopes for this one , but won't be picking it up now. Look's like the decision now is pick up Oblivion , or maybe Metroid & Tetris for the DS?
Wish I didn't have to choose.

Wow, I'll hve to D/L this tonight....totally missed it. I hope my D/L does not take long....like the Outfit when it took me 4 hours to D/L.

Yes I did get that a bunch of times on my HDTV. It seemed to do it whenever I would do a camera lock-on. Not all the time but sometimes.

I really enjoyed playing the demo and would definetly consider picking it up in the future but as most have said I would like to get it on a deal or price drop.

I had fun with this demo. If it came out a month ago I would have bought it, but now I have Oblivion I will wait a month or so to pick it up, or I may just Gamefly it.

damnit, I was even looking through the marketplace and never noticed the demo. Plus, I saw LinkinPrime playing it but I thought he got a hold of the game itslef. I'll have to DL it tonight. Thanks for the info.

I was somewhat dissapointed with it. I guess my expectations were too high. Does anyone know how old the demo is. Is it from a build of the game from a couple months ago, or is this how it will be if I were to buy it.

Pretty fun and informative demo, I liked how you had to rotate the right stick to start the engine and the camera system. Not a big fan of flying aircraft, but fun demo nonetheless.

Plus it downloaded within 7-8 minutes. woo.
