Supposedly you need a password to take advantage of this sale beginning 5/17 but its not necessary, sale for everyone begins friday 5/20

Running from Friday 7/1-7/4 the 5 for $20 blu rays will be back but there is no mention of the $.99 blu rays so we'll have to wait and see. i'm leaning towards no $.99 blus since we received all our info for next week already but you never know as they could send us some changes.

most stores should be getting more $.99 regular dvd's but its probably the same stuff as the last sale as most of it is being just transferred between stores.

also a big blu ray transfer this week (about 250 pieces in my store).

If I would somehow find them all at one store, I'd be psyched.

I'm amazed at how confused people are with this thread. Just follow the conversation and you'll figure out what movies are on sale, when they're going to be on sale, and how much they'll be. Hawaiiboy is not being a dick, he's just not coddling people like most users seem to do with questions that are answered over and over. He's also probably typing on a phone while crawling through an air duct at Blockbuster HQ trying to get wind of all these deals, so cut him some slack.

Thanks hawaiiboy for your post. I'm looking forward to a lot of those price drops. I just hope people don't buy up some of these movies when they drop on Tuesday and not leave them for me to raid on Friday.

QFT. I just asked on the one movie since he stated in the game thread if his store didn't have a title in it wouldn't be on his list and he would have to look it up. I figured since it's the second movie in a series and the first/third have dropped... seems like it would too.

Has anyone seen these price drops that were supposed to be on 6/27? I just went into my local store and none of the movies mentioned dropped to $9.99. I figure they'll probably change the price come Friday. In fact I'm hoping they do since those new drops are the movies I'm interested in. Otherwise this sale is going to be a bust.

price drops would have happened already in the computer, most likely the titles just weren't relabeled to $9.99 ... quite common at ballbusters
 
repricing the blu-rays are probably on the bottom of the totem pole on things that have to get done this week at most stores. all stores are in the process of price stickering all the rentals in the whole store which takes forever.

Yeah, putting those little red ".99 rental" stickers on DVDs/Blus must be a total pain in the ass. Such a random assortment of movies. I tried to find one last night to rent (since BB is apparently doing free .99 rentals for Total Access members until July 4th) and the rhyme or reason behind those movies made absolutely no sense.

I'll just be sure to take the list of price drops along with me on Friday and hope for the best.

Hmmm. I never really paid much attention to there being a BBV movie sale thread. Whaddaya know? Anyway, good luck tomorrow everyone.

I actually got more play out of the blu-rays I got from the last sale than the games I picked up from the last B1G1. So I'm more excited for this than the game sale. But of course with both running at the same time that gives me more to look for!
 
Entire shelf of blu-rays was gone. What. The. fuck. I was there at opening too. Wow. I wonder if stores are holding back for the Fourth.
 
Not much here either. Shelves were bare and all they had were leftovers from the previous sale.
The video game sale seemed nonexistent as well with several copies of Reach and Force Unleashed II. Disappointing.
 
I believe I was the first customer at 2 of my BB stores that looked through the blu ray sale. Most of the BRs on sale were from the previous sale. I wanted to picked up The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest but it was still $16.99 so I guess I'll wait to next time. Both locations had LOTR trilogy which I didn't really care too much cause they're not the Extended Edition. One location had Toy Story 1-3 for $9.99. I didn't pick it up cause I'm not a fan of the series, (so what, wanna fight about it!) And I got lucky to get Hot Rod since apparently its rare?? Thats about it for me. Now, would someone tell me when is expected that Barnes & Noble will do the 50% off sale for Criterion this year??? Good luck boys!

mine only had TS3, not 1 or 2. They also had the LOTR trilogy but they were 12.99/ea so not part of 5 for 20 sale
 
Many times the BDs are not priced properly. Almost ALL of the ones I bought today were marked at $12.99. I had the BBV employee scan them in and they all came up at $9.99. So, go back and get those LOTR BDs!

Also at my location, a couple came out with an entire shopping cart (from the grocery next door) filled with blu's. I was like no ****ing way this guy cleared out the shelves. Thankfully the shelves were still stocked and i found all the titles I was aiming to look for except Hulk (Ang Lee starring Eric Banna). Overall, 99.99% happy again with blockbuster. I even purchased membership to rent blu's.

If anyone get's Hulk by Ang Lee starring Eric Banna, i am willing to paypal $8USD shipped w/ tracking. Must be shipped within the day i send payment and tracking number sent to me within the day remaining. Trades are open to my collection and send me a Private Message. choose one and i'll think about it. Bottom list not included in trade... ...yet.

I'm hyped. I wanted to see PoP bad, but never got around to it.
I kind of want to go back to my store and get Girl w/ the Dragon Tattoo and whatever the sequel is (never seen them and don't know too much about them), The Moon, The Bounty Hunter, and something else. I am going to two different stores in a couple hours though, so I will see if those are at the other locations. Maybe I can find a couple of The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus, since I skipped it last time.
