Blockbuster may go bankrupt
are any of your blockbusters closing earlier than they are supposed to? I decided to drop by Blockbuster around 1130 after i was done with my work to rent battlefront II and it was closed at 11. I checked the schedule opening and closings and they were all pushed back an hour from their original times? has this happend to you guys also? If so then maybe that could be a tall tell sign of them losing alot of money..
I noticed the time change at the blockbuster by house just last week, they have now changed the closing time to 11 also.
As a former BBV employee, good riddance! Horrible company to work for. They screwed me out of two weeks vaction pay. Netflix is the only way for me now.

I'd love to see them try to bring back late fees. That would be the nail in the coffin.
I go to one in town only to see if they have used obscure VHS from time to time. One of the older ladies that worked there actually got mad at me from returning a used game that was tore all to hell when she sold it to me. She actually said that if I didn't want scratched games that I shouldn't buy them used. I threw my rental card in the trash after that. The only reason I didn't report her is because the unemployment rate is high in Henry Co. and even that asshole needs a job.

Reminds me of the local BBV I used to frequent. There is this one guy who I swear looks like the fat guy on Lost who just pisses me off. The guy smelled like ass and acted like as if he was God's greatest gift to Blockbuster Video. He also looked down on anyone who was a WS/OAR supporter (which includes myself). I finally got fed up between him, the local BBV not even giving a damn about renting out damanged DVDs, the at the time "no Widescreen when there is a P&S version available" mentality, high prices, etc etc etc..... that I dumped Blockbuster like the way one dumps a bad date.

Haven't looked back since.

Just so everyone knows, some Blockbusters do rent soft core porn. I found this out in at one in Tally where they have an Adult section and the playboy bunny things over each DVD so you can't see the cover. I was cracking up because I never thought I see the day when Blockbuster had porn. I don't think many Blockbusters do this but if you really want to see the New "Girls Gone Wild", your Blockbuster may have it.

I've been saying this for a few months now.
Their stock is almost worthless and they are getting sued left and right isnt helping any either.

I also say that Circuit City isnt in that great of a shape either.

My Circuit City closed in 2004.

It was really the best place for games and electronics in my neck of the woods.

It was practically the only place in this neck of the woods unfortunately.

Yeah. Plus, Kay-Bee's selection is thinning. Now it is down to K-Mart, Wal-Mart, or that swap shop (I forget the name of it) on 220 South near Subway.

Well seeing that CC is actually making profits and BBV hasn't been is a BIG difference. We'll see tho....
