To anyone planning on getting from Best Buy you may want to rethink.
Went to Best Buy today and got it off the shelf. I went to the register and asked them to check the price. It came up $29.99 I then said it is $19.99 on your website can you match it. They got someone to check and also got a manager involved. They claimed the skus don't match. Manager tried to claim it was for a single disc Blu Ray (which does not exist). I said well what if I do an in-store pickup. And he said he would deny it and that he had denied some earlier. So I gave up there and went home and ordered it for in-store pickup at a different store nearby. I waited for the e-mail saying it was ready and then headed to the store. I get there and they don't have it ready yet. I then wait like 10 mins while they search for it. Then they try to give me the DVD and I am like no I ordered the Blu Ray. I eventually got the combo pack from them but they had to do a buy, return, repurchase type of transaction. The employees at this store didn't give me any problem but it was still a hassle.

Man that sounds like you had a pain in the backside today. I have never been denied PM'ing there own website. It's part of the company policy to honor the lower price on the website.

What if I find a lower price at another Best Buy store or on BestBuy.com?

If an item you purchased at Best Buy is advertised at a lower price at another Best Buy store in your local area or on BestBuy.com, we'll refund you the price difference from our own sale price during the exchange and return period on your product. Simply bring in your original Best Buy receipt to the customer service counter while that lower price is still in effect.
 
toys r us, the buy 1 get 1 50% off does not work on blu rays without manager over ride. with the manager over ride, the discounts do not work. so, unless you get a manager over ride, it does not work.

yeah, I had to get an over ride. Funny thing is in the ad "any disney movies" they show a few blu rays in the pic.

true. thing is, I got in on the preorder deal (glitch?) amazon had with BatB, Christmas Carol, TS3, and PoP. So I think PoP will come out to around $15.50 from amazon (so no tax + rdd as well)

Can always keep the preorders as I think TRU will have the best prices on BATB and TS3 (there is the $10 coupon for BATB now) and you can always combine it with another TS3 preorder when it comes out so it will net $20 off.

Picked up a Sh*t load of disney blus for approx tax with this method weeks ago.

Question: How easy is it to return TRU pre-ordered Blus? It just seems way too easy to buy a bunch these pre-orders to get the $10 off Disney Blu discount, and then return the pre-orders for full refund later. Has anyone ever been caught returning a pre-order and been charged for the discount for the other film?

Depends on the CSR you get; mine was a cunt and wanted to re-ring the entire sale to cancel. Had to go out of my way to another store who just did as they were told and canceled them without blinking. Never did find Ponyo because TRU is worthless at restocking ANYTHING, though.

Kinda OT but check Sam's Club if you have one nearby and want Ponyo they have it and Cars blu's priced 16.69 each.

So are there coupons at TRU for $10 off with preorder of TS3 and Beauty and the Beast? I saw the BATB coupon in the OP but nothing about TS3. Also I think it's going to be YMMV getting TRU to use both discounts on the same movie.

Unfortunately they just closed down the nearest TRU to me and are in the process of relocating it to a different location. So I've got one store on liquidation and another that isn't finished yet. Chances of me getting PoP and TS3 pre-order might be slim. I noticed the PoP coupon is good until 9/28 though, so perhaps BB will have it for $19.99 before then like they do with some of their new releases.

Looking forward to getting the BATB iron pack from Best Buy now though. I was on the fence until this $10 coupon showed up. I'm hoping TRU has a lower price for it on release day so I can price match at BB. Either way if I can get the BATB iron pack for under $15 I'll be happy.
 
Does anybody know what the B&M price will be on POP? The website still shows $34.99 and even after the coupons and pre-order discounts thats not worth it.
 
Pre-ordered beauty and the beast at best buy and picked up a steelbook case. Now I just need to print off the $10 off coupon and pick up the whole thing with about $15 spent.

you do know that the case is a separate item that is possibly available still? also, the likely hood of being able to get beauty cheaper than toysrus is slim. by default they are going to be 10 cheaper with pre-order of ts3. so unless they charge full price, it will be cheaper there.

no they dont price match at all and the preorders should still work. have not tried since last week. also, i am under the impression the disc will be full price, making it a whopping 6.99 plus tax

well, like i said, given all the promos, the total should be 6.99 plus tax, and sometimes another promo is active in store. liek the james/ alice promo for more off.

very possible, that is going to be a ymmv thing. the system will take it but getting a store rep to is another thing. mine are all nice so im good but as stated ymmv.

the james/alice promo was buy james and the giant peach and alice in wonderland on blu or dvd, save an additional 6. this allowed some of us get the movie for 6.xx plus tax.
