RvB was right.

At Target the 3 movies come in 1 thick case.
Everywhere else it seems they're in seperate cases.
You thought I would lie?

Read the review for Spidy 3, the movie is okay, but the visual is too awesome for words... I do have a thing for Sony's AVC format, it's pretty darn good (well, i got a Sony HD Camcorder that films in that format). I went for the set for $56 shipped from FV.
You thought I would lie?
No, maybe just mistaken or something.
Just odd to me see different packaging.

I just got done watching Spiderman 2. The PQ is amazing. By far the best I have seen out of my movies so far (although I haven't opened 2001 yet).

Forget the PQ I think Replacement Killers is on par with S2.

But that part when the lasers hit the Tritium is probably the coolest low frequency sound I've heard on a disc. The sandman transformation has some awesome LFE too.

It doesnt say no copies. Just tell them it was in an email. As long as they can read the numbers below the barcode you're good.

I wasn't originally planning on getting Cars on tuesday but Best Buy had put it out early today so I picked it up on a whim.
I wasn't originally planning on getting Cars on tuesday but Best Buy had put it out early today so I picked it up on a whim.
What about Ratatouille?
Haha, cool.
What about Ratatouille?

I haven't seen it yet and they probably wouldn't be likely to accidentally put that one out early given that the SDVD comes out the same day. I'll probably just rent it when it comes out.
will they even take that.. that looks like a scan of a printout or something..

any links to a better looking coupon? lol
Here's a link to the thread in SlickDeals since I can't directly link to the PDF.

The coupon is the first link provided in that thread.

Says it excludes new releases, you think it'll work on Spiderman trilogy?:/

Would that stand for the USPS Moving coupon as well?
That's true, might have been confused since Cars is on DVD.
How much was it? $35?
I rang up as and was marked at $30 so its $5 less than MSRP. A little expensive for a catalog release but if all the fancy special features are as cool as they sound it'll be worth it.

I haven't seen sneak pics on any forum of it.

Yeah, I looked around for reviews and everything but couldn't find anything.

Anybody know if they are going to have any deals for a Blu Ray DVD player for say 100 bucks? I really want blu ray but just a player though for a good cheap price. So many movies i want to watch on Blu Ray disc.

Guys, your best bet for that 10% off coupon is to go pick up the USPS movers guide. They have a 10% off coupon in there for Best Buy that doesn't expire until 1/31/08. Much easier than risking it with a printout.
So no Blu Ray player deals gonna be on sale for cheap soon i take it?
Considering the least expensive player right now is the 40GB PS3 and that's $399. No, you're not going to see a $99 player this year.

Awww. I was hoping they would be trying to compete with HD DVD this month. Hopefully they do. I wouldnt mind picking up a blu ray for 100 bucks. Or even 200.
Awww. I was hoping they would be trying to compete with HD DVD this month. Hopefully they do. I wouldnt mind picking up a blu ray for 100 bucks. Or even 200.
Yea, they need a way to counter it. Competition is always beneficial to the consumer, b/c it means cheaper prices

Does the amazon blu-ray trilogy come in seperate dvd cases? I know the Best Buy one does and the Target one does not.

PS3 is likely to remain the cheapest option for BR playback for quite a well.
Does the amazon blu-ray trilogy come in seperate dvd cases? I know the Best Buy one does and the Target one does not.
Yes, they come in three separate cases inside a cardboard box.

As for competing with HD DVD prices, nah...this is a limited time sale, and smart consumers will now recognize that they don't need to spend $200 or $300 on HD DVD players, since they've already reached $100 - meaning sales will stagnate once they go back up to $200. Meanwhile, the 40GB PS3 is a BR player and more. They don't need to worry about people buying BD standalones, they need to inform people that their PS3 plays Blu-Ray movies. Since only 40% of PS3 owners know, could you imagine what BR sales would look like if 80-100% knew? Yowza!

I was able to use the coupon on the trilogy.
Just got a PM with info about the Spidey Trilogy being even cheaper on Amazon than BB's price.

Thanks for the info, you could have posted it here yourself though! :)

$60.95 - Free shipping too.

Spiderman Trilogy Boxset
Its cheaper still if you have a Sam's Club near you, its $59.88 all you need is a membership,it's not online though.

Well right now the Spidey Trilogy is $59.99 at Fry's, I think until the 5th or 6th if you just want it now.

Doesn't beat BB though with 10% coupon + RZ card for points ;O

Some guys have been getting Spidey 3 BD solo for $6.99 at BB.... how do I do this?

I was about to get the trilogy until I saw the pics for the JPN version of the box.
I want that box instead...!

While legally different, the kmart match is on moral par with theft, and no retail CSR that cares about the company they work for will ever agree to match it.

I'm wondering if a certain fall DVD/HiDef sale is going to happen this Thursday.

And if so, what am I going to buy, if anything?!

While the $6.99 dot doesnt technically cover S3, it is in the same 'square' and does not have a price dot on it for any other amount.

Circuit City has it for $4.XX after the 10% price difference discount.

I'm sending my dad to CC later today with that printout (only because I'm too embarrassed to actually try it myself). I hope it'll work.

Do you honestly believe anyone is/was under the impression that the $6.99 was advertising the BR version as well? I don't. The ad is quite clear, calling it deceptive is quite a stretch. Furthermore, if people actually believed it was being advertised for $6.99 then they'd be going to kmart, not Circuit City and Best Buy.

Pricematching this at other stores is just using deception to get an employee to abuse their pricematch policy for you. How is that different than convincing an employee to let you shoplift, by convincing the employee it's okay to take things without paying?

This is the moral bankruptcy one would expect from SlickDeals and FatWallet, but typically CAG is better about these sorts of things. I'm somewhat disappointed.

Well since you must be a fucking millionare, maybe this isnt the site for you.

Theres a lot worse things than deal exploting, such as buying used items.

You're surely not serious... are you? Are you really telling me that buying a used item is worse than deceiving a store into letting you have an item below cost at their expense?

In one situation, one less sale is made (under worse-case scenario). In another, a company is losing $10+ due to your deception. The market would be better off without any purchase at all, than with a purchase that causes a loss via deception.

And for the record, I'm not buying it anywhere at any price. I'm *not* a millionaire, I'm a full time student. When I can't afford a product by legit means, I don't buy it -- a stark contrast to obtaining it by shady means.

Buying used gives nothing back to the licensors/companies that released it, and does not count towards units sold. Officially, its no different than pirating/stealing. However, buying 'shadily', hoarding, etc, still counts as units sold and supports the people who need the money most.

I wont even bother to see how you try to rationalize support for people posting deals before they happen in stores considering its been deemed a legal offense to do so.
