The WB store has the BEST OF BLU RAY VOL 1-3 with 20% off pre order of any two so any 2 sets of 4 is 95.XX shipped not bad if you want any of the BD bundles

It was mentioned in the video game section but with the code paypal10 and payment via paypal you can get $10 off any purchase. Good if you want to purchase the Spider-Man Blu-Ray Trilogy for 48.99 after the coupon and a $7 MIR.

at what store?

very tempted on harry potter, but know that they will just release a 6 movie box next year, and a 7 movie box the year or two after. might just hold out on the 5th movie until that magical 7 movie box comes out. though 89.45 is a great price for 5 movies.. darn

Picked up Harry Potter LE Giftset on BR and Smallville Season 6 on HD-DVD.

$128.18 shipped after coupon. Thanks to those who posted the two codes, as it's even cheaper through WB store than Amazon w/HiDef promo xtra 10% off.

Probably smarter, but i think its easily justifyable to do a double dip when theres a 4 year gap in between the releases.

Hmmm im being told that my Harry Potter Purchase does not qualify for the promotion. Wonder if they cut us off?

Harry Potter deal won't work for me either
but I got
Best of Blu-Ray shipped for 44.96 and a preorder for best of BD action 44.96
20% off preorder still applies and using JLBM it comes out to a little under 11.25 a disc. Not bad if you want the movies in these sets.

you get 20% off two sets of four when you "preorder" two-just add two to your cart then use JLBM to get this price

So the JBLM code is multiple use for the same account? I used it for Potter on HD, might be tempted to put in a few more orders if that's the case.

Not a deal per say, but a decent way to make some green. My FYE had placemarkers for Blades of Glory on Blu-ray. I asked one of the guys i know that works there and he said they had two copies, one person bought them both >
How come Blades of Glory is getting so much on ebay?

Matthew
'Cause people are idiots.
The recent Paramount deal going exclusive to HD-DVD meant Blades of Glory should also be an HD exclusive, but copies were already pressed and waiting to be sold at some stores. So some people think it's gonna be a rare uber collector's item. Idiots. Maybe if it was Spartacus, then I could understand, but it's Blades of fucking Glory.
Hmmm im being told that my Harry Potter Purchase does not qualify for the promotion. Wonder if they cut us off?
Just had the same thing happen to me. I copied & pasted the coupon code from the OP - then I read through some of the thread. The code should be 'JLBM', but the OP lists it as 'JBLM'. Once I put in the correct code, it went right through.

This is great too, because my ex-wife decided the HP movies were hers when she moved all her crap out. Now not only can I replace them, I'll upgrade in the process. ;)

Anyone know if WB charges right away or when the item ships? My bank account looks like it's taken the hit already, but the transaction isn't listed - not sure if they just did a "test charge" to see if it was there & then put it back, or what.

They do an autorization once a month every month until the order ships. It should drop off in a few days.

I was curious why I also get taxed at the Warner store. I haven't seen a Warner video store in town, but I keep thinking there's a Warner Bros. apparel store or something of that kind.
I'm getting charged tax in PA. No thanks! There is no reason they should be charging tax to me.
PA is a big state. Maybe there's a WB office or something? A lot of people do stuff in the Lehigh Valley because a semi-short commute (+/- 2 hours) to the city.

Not sure if this goes here, but if not sorry

Don't have a cow, man! Fox has announced it will bring 'The Simpsons Movie' to Blu-ray day-and-date with the standard-def DVD this December.
After over a decade in development, 'The Simpsons Movie' lived up to the hype and emerged as one of the summer's biggest hits, with Bart & Co. netting a worldwide gross of nearly $300 million.
Fox will debut the Blu-ray and DVD day-and-date December 18, with both sharing identical extras (al though the Blu-ray versions will all be presented in full 1080 HD video).
Among the goodies are two audio commentaries with multiple cast and crew, three featurettes, deleted scenes, a Homer monologue from the "Tonight Show," and alternate character designs from the show's creator, Matt Groening.
The BD-50 dual-layer release will come with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround track.
Fox has set a $39.98 MSRP for the Blu-ray.
You'll find disc details for 'The Simpsons Movie' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it is indexed under December 18.
anybody know what format saving private ryan, braveheart, the gladiator, and band of brothers will be on?
I could be wrong, but most of those should be on HD-DVD. Movie studios off the top of my head:

Saving Private Ryan (Dreamworks)
Braveheart (Paramount)
Gladiator (Dreamworks)
Band of Brothers (HBO)

Paramount is now exclusive to HD-DVD and that also includes Dreamworks pictures. I'm not so sure about Saving Private Ryan, though, since that's a Spielberg film, so it may be exempt and come to Blu-Ray.

I don't know how HBO is handling releases on the HD format. I think they support both, though Band of Brothers can be imported currently on HD.

haha me? nah i love my blu-ray, at least we got black hawk down. anyone know of any good (movie AND picture quality) war BR's comin out soon?

I was noticing in this past sunday ad (9/23-9/29) Circuit City is offering 2 free blu ray movies when you purchase a SONY blu ray player.

2 questions:
Most importantly :p Does this include the PS3?

Does anyone have any idea on the titles they are offering?

I plan on picking up my 60GB PS3 this weekend before the 5 freebies expires and was curious if anyone else had any info ont his deal.

I was at an fye (Emerald Square Mall in N Attleboro, MA) yesterday. They had a small endcap with B1G1 BDs. I grabbed Bridge to Terabithia and Apocalypto. Off the top of my head The Prestige, Wild Hogs, and both Pirates movies were there too.

The clerk told me that the deal was only good for the movies on the endcap with the white B1G1 stickers, so I didn't bother with anything from the normal selection. She had to manually key in the discount as well. If anyone has any success with flicks not on the endcap let us know.

Nice deal. :D I really enjoyed both of those.

What was the normal price of the movies (e.g. how much did you pay for both)?

I would just stop by, but the nearest FYE is at Westlake (downtown Seattle) where it's hard to park for any less than $10.
