bandai visual blows for their blu-rays.. i wouldnt be surprised if they gave it 1.0 DTS HD audio :(
 
Good to know. I thought it was a cute movie, but not one I'd ever want to see again, let alone sift through hours of extras for.

Then again, I haven't had much time to go beyond the feature for most of the BRs I picked up recently anyway. :p

Uhhh...no.... Its identical to the HD DVD except it has a Commentary track, DTS MA and a slip cover (along with the Extended cut via seamless branching). :bomb:

Just so I'm clear, it has the extended version of the movie from the 3-disc set but not the extras, correct?

Correct. It has the same U-Control found on the HD DVD version which is snippets of some of the features (I think).

I actually enjoyed it. I picked up the first one at Best Buy a couple weeks back for $15...hope I can find a good price for the 2nd one.

Japan gets way more than we do here. I doubt though we will get a double dip THAT SOON.. if we do, sell your copy asap when the news hits and use it to buy the new one lol.

Is there any information on Battlestar Galactica coming to Blu-Ray? I searched around and all I could find was that it was rumored to be happening "sometime in 2009".

You might get a double dip in maybe another 10 years, since that was basically the gap between the last release and this one.

But, the Japanese release does have DTS-MA instead of TrueHD if it matters to you.

Looks identical to the HD DVD and sounds only a bit 'louder' (volume match DTS MA to DD+ and you won't notice a difference).

Street dates don't matter in a liquidation. When my store closed down we were selling DVD's that weren't being released for another 9 days. I went to the only CC left near me yesterday to use up some gift cards. I was hoping they would have the Bourne Trilogy or least KK but their shipments were halted. Sucks since I was holding on to those GC's specifically for Bourne.
 
Yup, about 112 miles round trip from north of Woodstock, about $10 in gas. It was worth it, though, just so I wouldn't lose the GC's.

Amazon has been for a while as long as they are region free. You can buy American Pie or The Goonies right now for instance.

Though, $120 for 4 films is a lot...the boxset will likely be $70 or so

On HD DVD, yes. It can be had for $8 or so on eBay. Its a Combo titles as well so it might show up at Ralphs/Krogers in the future.

Yes. Went to Fry's this morning and they are $5 each. Or maybe $7. Can't remember, but it's cheap.
