sarah connor is much cheaper at WHV, going to get it from there

29.95 + 30% off = 20.97 pre tax

free shipping for over $50
Can't add it to the cart at the moment.

And as a reminder, the 30% off coupon is ANWBTS , so you need to remove the 20% off coupon and add the 30% off coupon, if it's there.

I'd say check your local walmart. I walked into one yesterday and was surprised to see 3 copies just chilling there to buy. I didnt even know that it was coming out on Bluray.
Can anyone explain why the hell Bee Movie is delayed, when it's sitting in the stockroom of every store I went to today??

Both Target and Circuit City told me they have it, but it's been delayed a week and can't sell it? Amazon delayed it to 5/27 too.

I'm a suck for animation on Blu, and really want to support Paramount's return to Blu as well, but it doesn't help if I can't find the damn movie!

Now Amazon is saying June 3rd... wtf?
I think Cloverfield is the same way. All dates said 5/20 or 5/21, then it changed to 6/3.

Also, was V for Vendetta pressed in really low numbers or something? I'm having a little difficulty finding it. Then again, I'm not trying too hard, as I already own it on DVD and HD-DVD. I did manage to pick up WM24, though.

Now if only i could figure out how to pre order Lego Batman with that code...

Warner still hasn't shipped my Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, so I sent them an email. I ordered that along with SemiPro and Batman Begins, so I asked them to just cancel, but who knows if they'll ever even read it.

need to order 2+ movies, maybe thats why?

Um what? I just ordered 5...

I just don't believe they sell games on the site. Just advertise them.

I've had my copy for 2 weeks now and its by far the best looking BD title to date. Paramount put a date of 5/20 on it so no idea why the stores are refusing to sell it.

The Starship Troopers Trilogy(BD) is up for pre-order on amazon. I can never get the link right.

$63 - Aug. 5

That's right it's a box set.

Could be that employees see "don't sell until 5/27" on the box. I had the Bluray release in my hands today but passed on it for now. Eventually I'll grab it once it drops in price or I find it used. No big hurry to buy it right away for me.

anyone get a weird tracking number from amazon? I just checked the shipping on a movie i ordered and it said this

Delivered On: 12/11/2006
2:19 P.M.
Delivered To: OMAHA, NE, US
Service: 2ND DAY AIR

except i don't live in nebraska and its 2008

Don't worry about it, just an old tracking number they never cleared.
It's coming, but you won't be able to track it properly, or it'll show up underneath the old info.

I just read that come September we'll finally be getting Transformers on Bluray, and I was really contemplating on double dipping for this title or not for some time... I think I'm going for it though, the extras it comes with that isn't on my HD DVD version is a big plus as is the TruHD track. I have to see how well the DD+ track stacks up to TruHD, especially since TF on red won HD audio of the year... and it's only getting better

preorderd batman le., terminator season 1, and semi pro from whv..

may have to to preorder smallville season 7 before the 30% coupon runs out as well

I was thinking about picking up the first 2 seasons of Three Sheets on BD...but it looks like they're only available on DVD.

Which strikes me as odd considering the show is broadcast on an all-HD-content network (MojoHD).

Am I missing something or is logic not allowed here?

Wow, I seriously expected the :br: version of Transformers to have more stuff than the :hd:, specially after Michael Bay's obvious format preference. Not even the IMAX cut...damn.

In a way it does. It has all the extras that came in the HD DVD version, only now you get some new extras in high def as well as a TruHD track and what looks to be a new encode tweaked specifically for Bluray. Maybe by release time we'll get the extras we all want

It's going to have to have a new video encode (supposedly) and the obvious bump in audio.

I saw the full list of extras at some site, I don't know if anything was added otherwise.

From the HDD site that I read it off, it's extra side story bits not found on the original HD DVD release... Ironically my friend is giving me his HD DVDs (not many) and it means I will then have 2 red and 1 Blu (when it comes out) version of the same movie. I liked the movie but not THAT much lol

I see this as Para/DW giving Bay what he wants for a sequel as well as the studio wanting to crush 300's record for most Blus sold to date. A tweaked PQ and supposedly slightly better audio track (the masses won't be able to tell but some of us might) along with more extras should bring those current TF HD DVD owners to double dip. I for one refuse to double dip any more on any title unless to me it's worth it.

Guess it's time to update my trade list

As for above... I agree with you 200%.... I want Gladiator in high def asap!

I'm gonna triple dip on Batman Begins..........

At least if Warner ships it or whatever, I have no idea what the status of my order is

You aren't missing anythng, and I like that show.

I'm surprised so many people like Transformers enough to buy it, it was cool and all, but I'd never watch it again.

transformers is probably my most watched/rewatched hi def movie

Thought I would post this in this thread.

At Hastings today I purchased the Rambo Trilogy and Rambo, Rambo Trilogy was 34.99 and Rambo was 27.99, but Hastings has a special going where if you buy both you save 12.99 instantly, so grand total was 49.99 plus tax.

Yeah, I hope the re-encode it to higher bit rate and lossless is an awesome addition.

And A bit OT. I do not high hopes for the New Transformers AT ALL. The first one isn't that good, and the new one seems to be going towards a comedy more than a Action movie. Rainn Wilson and Judd Apatow are now both in it. Now, they are both good at what they do, which is comedy. This is supposed to be a Sci-fi flick. I have a feeling Michael Bay will be hated even more.

And Gladiator is such a mess it's not even funny. Dreamworks is the production studio but universal is the distributor. Who knows when that one is coming out. It looks great on TNT HD!

I fucking love that show. Greatest job on earth! But yeah, i keep thinking the same thing about Dexter! They have WEEDS ON BLU FOR GOD SAKES!!!

I'm a sucker for action type movies, especially when they throw in the nostalgic theme to it. I agree, it's not the best film out there and could have been done so much better but I liked it... then again I like a lot of things people say is crap lol

It looks like they are re-encoding the video and tweak it for Blu, apparently they video encode was already done. To me it looks damn good now as is, I don't know if we'll see any significant difference with the tweak... Sadly people will go on about how their bitrate meter has higher maxes then if the film looks identical or not. This applies more so for the audio. That DD+ track sounds excellent already, maybe with the supposed TruHD track (PCM is apparently on there as well ) there will be more depth but honestly, I don't know how much better it'll be... My sub took a shit and I reordered a Hsu STF-1 (on sale now btw ZING!) so I'm looking forward to hearing this film better (old sub sucked a big one). I think it's one of those that it will look and sound slightly better but not ground breaking or significantly more. Besides the vast majority of buyers are those who don't have the audio setup and preach on god knows how many forums about how much better lossless is all while using TV speakers ;)
Shit I myself have a decent setup but nothing in the realm of the pros and hobbyists who spend thousands on equipement to benefit. I will tell you all that the DD+ track is one of the best audio tracks I've ever heard, and if it gets better, even if slightly, I'm double dipping and making my own comparison :D

Anyone know when Matrix trilogy is being released on Blu? I have a buddy of mine who wants it. I myself can't wait until the studios figure out how much who is getting for Gladiator on Blu

Major noob question - be gentle

I waited for the HD battle to finish before I bought anything. Now that BR has won is it time to start buying? I mean the price of the players are still pretty steep. Right now the cheapest one I can find is $350 - I'd rather pay the extra $50 and get a PS3 so I can play the video games (Even though I probably wouldn't - just not into anything the PS3 is offering besides GTA).

I've been hesitant because the BR movie prices are so stinking high right now, but then I see posts in this forum every day for 2 for $30 deals and the like.

So are the prices going to drop in the near or distant future? Do I wait? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

My take, the PS3 is the only affordable and worthy Bluray player out now. Magnavox and Insignia have new ones due out in B&M stores for 300-350 but I believe both are the older 1.1 profile and either don't decode the newer HD audio formats at all or do some (i.e. I forget which one but it does TruHD in 2ch only :bomb:)

For $50-100 more the PS3 will be the latest profile, load faster, have faster menus, be able to do everything Bluray was intended to, and double up as a media center and game console. Do like me, buy Blurays if you think the price is good and enjoy them on your player of choice later on when you get one. I highly doubt we'll see a PS3 drop in price anytime soon but there are some $100 gift cards being given out with PS3s soon which might help you make your decision. I RARELY buy films at full retail price. I usually wait until Amazon has a price drop on some with sale or just price adjustment or wait until the bigger B&M stores have sales like the B2G1 or 2 for $30. Sometimes I buys used as well.

Has there been any news on South Park re-releases in BR?? I know they aren't shot in HD or broadcast but would Comedy Central be doing anything to satisfy the HD crowd?
