If Microsoft announces a Blu-ray external drive at E3 I'm selling my 60GB PS3.
I doubt they will, but if they do I will sell my PS3 as well.

if you get a really good video card it will do most of the work for the computer

i used to get 60% and minor stuttering with hd-dvd's/blu rays on my pc, but i got a nice video card and now it runs at ~7% resources and no stutters or freezes at all
Theatrical cut of Grindhouse & Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, step on it Weinstein!
Yes, please.

Also spit out Diary of the Dead and some Dragon Dynasty films.

Just got Vantage Point on Blu...looks pretty good so far. The GPS tracker appears to be very similar to what Cloverfield has but I have not explored it too much.

They've already announced Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2 for September 9th, individually, so it won't be TWBA.

Diary of the Dead was.. okay, I guess. But I liked The Mist.

I didn't check out Vantage Point. I considered it, but I have no interest in the movie. Also considered Drillbit, but I saw it in theatres (and hated it).

That's Buena Vista.

Weinstein owns the rights to Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair

According to Netflix, I can have Kill Bill Vol 1 sent to me in Blu-Ray right now.

WTF Netflix?

For those that care about this title...

I got Drillbit Taylor BD to review. I had thought this was delayed 4 weeks on Blu...but I guess not.

Speaking of Band of Brothers

The Band of Brothers Blu-Ray set sounds pretty sweet. I like the sound of the new BD-exclusive extras. Wonder why the Deadwood set isn't coming to BD though.
Let's hope they don't screw up BoB going to BR. Would be a crime.
I doubt they will.

If it's anything like the Japanese HD-DVD import (which I own ) than it should be pretty amazing.
I don't care how much it is, its worth it
I want it but I know that it is going to be over $99. Once it finally hits a sale where its in the range of $50, which is still a lot when the DVD set can be had for around $30, I'll pick it up. I'm not in a hurry.
Now keep in mind its from HBO, so it should be available in the WB store
But than again, remember WB is the same store that tried to sell a 3 disc half season of The Sopranos for $129.95 MSRP
Now keep in mind its from HBO, so it should be available in the WB store
and we need to hope its got a msrp of 69.99 or less... which it wont :(

For those interested in Vantage Point...

The PQ is easily one of the best I have ever seen. If you pick this one up you will be impressed!

There is also 2 additional special features available only through BD-Live (so PS3s right now)

Awesome, although I wish there was a way to get everything without Godfather 3. I hate that movie.
Awesome, although I wish there was a way to get everything without Godfather 3. I hate that movie.
Agreed. Let's hope they give a nice restore before sending it to BR, and then we get some  PQ and AQ out of it.

Why does everybody hate the third one?

Granted, it's not as good as the 1st two, and the incest love story is wierd, but other than that it's a great movie

It's the polar opposite of everything that's magical from the first.

Al Pacino outgrew the role of Micheal, Sofia Coppola was beyond horrible and the script is all over the place.
They've spent a year restoring it (since the negative was in horrible condition) so I imagine that it will look pretty good.

Anything is a welcome upgrade over the sub-VHS looking DVD currently out.
Oh yeah, I think I remember you or someone else around here posting that link. It does look very good with the restoration job they're doing on it.

Sony Pictures has announced it will bring the acclaimed Indian fantasy 'The Fall' to Blu-ray in early September.

Though acclaimed for its widely imaginative visuals, the mythical romance from director Tarsem Singh ('The Cell') received only a limited theatrical release here in the States this past May. Sony will debut the film on Blu-ray September 9, day-and-date with the standard DVD.

There are no tech specs or supplement details as of yet, but the full press release is due shortly, so stay tuned.

Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $38.95.

You'll find preliminary specs for 'The Fall (2006)' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under September 9.

I'm cumming and I can't stop. :D

Not only will this be a visual feast but it's been getting alot of great reviews.
