Same, ive been wanting Boardwalk Empire for so long, waiting a couple weeks to see something lower.going to hold off on Boardwalk in hopes of a better price come Black Friday / Cyber Monday.
Added. They've also got Band of Brothers and The Pacific on sale for roughly the same price.
Excellent show, if you enjoyed Gladiator or the political drama of shows like Boardwalk Empire, Rome is definitely worth a blind buy. The production values are incredibly high and the only negative is that it doesn't really last long enough, leaving you wanting more. Luckily, this show received notice that they wouldn't be getting picked up for a third season, so they were able to compact a bunch of stuff into the second half of the second season that makes for a more fulfilling ending than shows like Deadwood.Anyone think Rome is worth the price? Curious about the series and considering blind buying it.
Buy it, if only the first season. Second season for me is a mixed bag though. It's super depressing since it tears down everything season one built up but it still has the same great production values. I'm not saying don't watch the second season, but for me personally I only re-watch the first and sort of wish I could erase what happens in the second one from memory.Anyone think Rome is worth the price? Yeah, they're half-assing a PM to BB today. They should all be $17-18 a season once they get their act together.Amazon has Boardwalk Seasons 1 and 2 for $20 and season 3 for $16.99
Amazon's PM has been pretty bad to start off this BF. Why they haven't just matched all the Blu on TV sets from the BB sale is beyond me & the dropping it within a few dollars is a slap in the face that's not gonna fly with me.Yeah, they're half-assing a PM to BB today.
