"Frankly I have had it, and I know a lot of other women out there who are with me on this. I have had enough of the sexist treatment of Sarah Palin. It has to end.

She was in New York on Tuesday meeting with world leaders at the U.N. And what did the McCain campaign do?

They tried to ban reporters from covering those meetings. And they did ban reporters from asking Gov. Palin any questions.

I call upon the McCain campaign to stop treating Sarah Palin like she is a delicate flower who will wilt at any moment.

This woman is from Alaska for crying out loud. She is strong, she is tough, she is confident. And you claim she is ready to be one heartbeat away from the presidency. If that is the case, then end this chauvinistic treatment of her now. Allow her to show her stuff. Video Watch Brown call on the McCain campaign to 'Free Sarah Palin'

Freaking thought that was great. McCain wants to cry sexist, well how about letting the little lady stand up and defend herself. If she wants to lead the free world then she should be able to handle the media. Plain and simple.

Agreed 100%. If you want the first and second most powerful positions in the country, you had better be open to nearly every interview a respectable news outlet requests.

If it's already getting this heated after 20 days, there's going to be an explosion in the next 40. I can easily see some of the press losing their shit and professionalism on air 3 days before election day, and Palin still hasn't given a proper interview.

To share the blame however, the Republican Party hasn't exactly been discreet with their hopes of keeping her out of the spotlight, rescheduling/canceling debates, and sneaking her AND McCain under the radar to Election Day.

I imagine at this point, their Campaign adviser is watching Adam Sandler's Click over and over again in a desperate effort to recreate the plot.

We haven't heard much from Palin, recently. I guess Vice Presidential rallies aren't important anymore, because I haven't heard anything from her or Biden.

I do think some people are taking things a bit too far, though. And it's apparent who those people are and who they're for.

Biden has been speaking.....he just doesn't get coverage.....kinda hard to get coverage when its a black man, a woman and a person they are linking to a very unpopular president/war hero.

No Biden was in the news yesterday when he said this "When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened.' "

Even though TV wasn't really invented yet and Roosevelt wasn't the president. Oh well.

ZOMG BIDEN SAID TV! HE'S A DUMB LIBERAL!

Shit, yo. You better hope Biden gets elected and gets to talk. Y'all deserve to have the opportunity for some grammatical comeuppance after offering us that human speech parody Bush on a fuckin' platter for 8 years running.

Kind of like I said in the other thread, Palin isn't stupid. But neither is the McCain camp. They know the dangers of letting someone so inexperienced (comparatively) in the public too much. The media will chew her up like a pitbull on a rag-doll and they'd be finished.

Then, that only compounds the mental stress probably going on inside Palin. She knows what the Republicans are doing. She knows they are afraid she'll say something embarassing or wrong. So when she is allowed to go into the public, she's super self-conscious, and it shows.

Anywho, it's all entertainment for me.

im sure all 57 states will enjoy a gaffe free obama ;)

Funny except for the fact that if Palin said it, there would be 4 new threads on here with the same people including the guy with a bag on his head and the chess piece talking in depth about it but alas it gets no mention because it was from Biden and CAG is one big Obama party. Everyone would say how unqualified and how un-Obama like it was. Come on you know it's true, people around here can't wait to create a new thread everytime the most minor thing happens on the Republican side. I want to see one critical thread for the Democrats on here before the election, just one.

Well then fuckin' make one.

If Palin said that, it would be amazing if only for the fact that such an incident would mark the first time she was able to speak without having a leash on her and a fence separating her from the media.

I almost hope Obama gets elected so we can all watch him fail miserably together as a family. He's gonna shit when he has to make choices that affect the country. He'll probably just blame the Republicans for whatever promises he doesn't fulfill or when he raises taxes and if you don't think your taxes will go up your hopelessly naive. After all blaming Republicans is the Democrat way!

Don't know why I quoted your post, just feel like pissing people off around here :)

So, you're a troll?

That's good to know.

Pissing me off by quoting my post?

Nah. But your resorting to "blah, raise taxes" is disappointing moreso than annoying. It's trite, it's intellectually shallow like a kiddie pool, and it shows that you're thoroughly uninterested in actual issues (and probably haven't the slightest idea of a single policy proposal of any candidate).

Your homeboy, who is responsible for overseeing over 30% of the national debt, is about to increase the national debt by 12-15% in ONE YEAR. And all you can think about is the generalized boring-ass assumptions of "libr'lz."

Get real. If you want to have a debate, have a debate. Here: two questions for you, chock full of general curiosity, policy based, and absolutely devoid of any of this "libr'lz" crap you keep spewing like someone who suckles from the sour teet of Free Republic in order to fuel your need for irrelevant, childish, and petty talking points:

1) What has gone right in the past 8 years that Bush can take credit for?

2) Name me one policy proposal of the McCain/Palin ticket that differs from what Bush/Cheney have done over the past 7.5 years.

Go ahead. I fuckin' dare you to man up and answer a real question.

I often ponder and observe these questions.

It's become clear to me that when one is aligned with a particular party, they almost always try and give credit to their people when good things happen and give blame to their opposition when bad things happen.

The semantics of who to credit and who to blame in almost all headlines is pretty complicated, and fun to watch each side scramble for credit or finger pointing.

So to address the gentlemen's post you were responding to, I think when Obama is president the exact same thing will happen that's always happened: Good things will happen, that both Democrats and Republicans will try to take credit for. Bad things will happen that Democrats and Republicans will blame each other for.

This amusement is one of the small condolences we get for having to suffer through a 1.2 party system.

The only thing iv seen give Bush credit for that was good and I couldnt instantly nod my head and say ya thats true was his aid in Africa. Bush has given alot of money and started alot of programs to help the African people in a time of need. Then again....he has dragged his knuckles like the primate he is on Darfur....soooo ya.
