you're starting to align yourself with anomynous...

there are a ton of comic book characters (and x-men) far far worse than gambit. wubb's favorite, dazzler, is one. (also note that wubb's favorite ISN'T professor x. it's cause people in wheelchairs aren't acknowledged by society, wubb included).
No need for that level of an insult. I'm aware there are worse, but if it makes you feel better Gambit is the worst of the most popular/well known X-men. When I tell my buddy he's the worst I don't mean literally, I'm simply using hyperbole to prove my point.
Going to Half-Price Books.

I'm hoping to find:

The Stories of Vladimir Nabokov by Vladimir Nabokov
The Elephant Vanishes: Stories by Haruki Murakami
The Glass Bead Game by Hermann Hesse
Glyph by Percival Everett
The Crying of Lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon
Labyrinths: Selected Stories & Other Writings by Jorge Luis Borges
Dang, I struck out pretty bad.

Nabbed The Crying of Lot 49 for 98 cents, but it's written in--I hope I can ignore the notes; they didn't seem too excessive.
I also found The Stories of Vladimir Nabakov, but there's no way in hell I'm paying $17 for a used book.

No luck on the rest. :(

Where the hell did you get the taste to appreciate Paprika?
Needless to say, I was blown away when Brak's tagging abilities were crippled.
this is the moniest thing you've ever said.
I'm confused. When cag2.0 soft launched there were some stupid tags that I deleted from the otts, because they were offensive, but then I stopped. I dont mess with the OTT (posts and tags) unless its legal crap that could land the site in trouble.

It isn't if it's in the OTT. But the rest of the site, that is not what the tag system is for. It's to be used for quick searching, an easier, more stream lined interface than the main vbb search engine.
Musta been Wheels.

That doesn't make any sense.

If someone wants to search for "nintendo games", results such as "budge jury & executioner", "budge's hard heinz ketchup" and "alternative opinions" aren't going to come up -- they only come up if you search for them.

They're hidden, otherwise.

So i have a supposedly brand new DVR after my old one was killed by a power surge, but this new one is making the highest pitched noise i've ever heard. I can hear it through the sound of the TV.

They slow everything down. Like 500+ post OTTs ;)

I liked Shrike's hilariously illogical ban on animated GIFs, citing that they leech CAG bandwidth... even though they're linked from image hosting sites, leeching their bandwidth. :dunce:
Its hard to pick 5 movies...I also forgot about TDK and The Departed.
The Departed was excellent. It might have what is my favorite ending of all time.

So you're saying, here, that applying random tags to the OTT is acceptable.

Ban of GIFs? I haven't noticed.

Gwen is the one that got my taggin' taken away, on the same day as most of you. I say she's full of it as for her actin' like it wasn't her.

You must've missed where I crossed it off my list and added Rush Hour 2.

But I'm really a big fan of all of Satoshi Kon's works. Up there as one of my favorite movies along with Paprika is Tokyo Godfathers.

It was, like, a year ago, I believe.

I dunno, Brak. You don't like it, take it to the man.
So you're saying, here, that applying random tags to the OTT is acceptable.
Nope, but I'm saying I'm not doing anything about it.
Gwen is the one that got my taggin' taken away, on the same day as most of you. And then I put your status back to "blocked."

 The site has "ass" in the name and features a cartoon bald man holding a fistful of cash on the front page. I think the professionalism boat passed us a long time ago.

The OTT/GGT/Fighter's Thread make the site look sloppy and unprofessional.

I'd say the last thing a site with "ass" in it's name is professional looking.
Well, they also make the site look sloppy and unprofessional if there are all kind of extraneous tags on threads.

I dunno, Brak. You don't like it, take it to the man.
Because at Cheap Ass Gamer, it's all about professionalism.

If you're not saying that, then tell me what that statement is saying.
It isn't (that big of a deal) if it's in the OTT. But the rest of the site, that is not what the tag system is for.
This would imply that it doesn't matter in the OTT, but elsewhere it does.

Putting nonsense tags on other threads is not what the ability is for.
Again implying that such things in the OTT are acceptable.

You can see, then, why I am confused.
 The site has "ass" in the name and features a cartoon bald man holding a fistful of cash on the front page. I think the professionalism boat passed us a long time ago.
Hey! What's so unprofessional about bald men?
I don't like the outfits tonight. The white ones were better.
I like the red ones. These camera guys need to get more of this ass slapping action though.

Isn't the word 'Ass' the reason the nation's leading electronics retailer stopped a CAG affiliate program at one point?

:whistle2:k

Ok, this is just a hypothetical point, do not ban me please.

This is the Off-Topic Topic, therefore shouldn't off topic tags be on-topic which then of course creates a huge conundrum, but that is a different story.

Also, the tag system is designed to easily find what you want via the search function. Well what if I am trying to find the OTT where we were talking about Budge's Hard Heinz Ketchup. How would I go about finding that thread then if the tags keep getting deleted? Therefore, you are actually stopping the point of the tags, which is finding the content that you want regardless of wether it is silly or serious.

Needless to say, my monocle launched off of my mush when I discovered that wanking wubb bloke was confined to a sodding wheelychair.

Speaking of searches .. weren't we able to search three letter words at one point? Cause that seems to be gone again. I used to able to search "mak" but not anymore.
 The site has "ass" in the name and features a cartoon bald man holding a fistful of cash on the front page. I think the professionalism boat passed us a long time ago.

Rocko, I'm saying that the tags should be used appropriately throughout the site. If X puts gibberish into the OTT tags, don't be surprized if it's determined that X should be blocked from tagging. But *I* won't be the one removing the tags or blocking the abilities. NOT if the nonsense tags are ONLY in the otts. Because if X misuses the tagging system on other threads, I will do as we're supposed to and remove the tag(s) in question and block the users tagging ability.

Did that make more sense?
I dunno, Brak. You don't like it, take it to the man.
I love fruitless efforts.

... soooooo... why were my tagging privileges nixed, then?

With my Kmart cart pushing strength, I'd be able to roll the boulder up the hill.
... soooooo... why were my tagging privileges nixed, then?
Tags should be used appropriately throughout the site. I won't remove tags from the OTT as long as they are not offensive or illegal and they stay inside the OTT.

If you have an issue take it up with the big man in the Admin office.

Would said boulder get up the hill before the trick back gave out?

Toyko Godfathers, while not bad, is his worst film. #-o

Go watch Millennium Actress.
Not that I mind but they seem to keep showing Walsh/May. I wonder why they don't show the other team.
They were on earlier today.

Also, May/Walsh are the most well known and dominant team in the sport. They have over 100 consecutive wins, beating an old record of I believe 80-some consecutive wins, held by themselves.

I could do it with a thrown back.
