Bully comes to Xbox 360® in Bully: Scholarship Edition, the tale of mischievous 15-year-old Jimmy Hopkins as he goes through the hilarity and awkwardness of adolescence at the fictional New England boarding school, Bullworth Academy. Beat the jocks at dodge ball, prank the preppies, save the nerds, kiss the girl, and ultimately navigate the social hierarchy in the worst school around.

  • Intriguing storyline: Bully: Scholarship Edition brings together all of the clichés surrounding school, the cliques, the teachers, the pranks, and creates an environment which is hilarious to play and interesting to explore.
  • New content: For its Xbox debut, the game provides eight new missions, four new school classes, new characters, added multiplayer mode, new unlockables, online features, and a grading system.
  • Huge variety of fun: With 82 missions, 45 lessons, loads of mini-games and collectibles, Bully provides over 30 hours of entertainment.
  • Pranks galore: Spread the mischief. Use your slingshot to annoy the school mascot, give the preppies wedgies, leave a stink bomb in the cheerleader's locker, trip the prefects on well-placed marbles, drop firecrackers in the toilets, and own the school.
  • The school experience: Over 100 voiced characters to socially interact with among several social groups: jocks, nerds, preppies, greasers, teachers, townies, carnies, and of course, girls.
  • Your choice: You're in charge. Decide whether you have a positive or negative effect when interacting or accepting missions. Say hello to fellow classmates or deliver mean wedgies. Decide which girls you want to kiss, or what classes to skip.

Anyone picking up this game? Retails for $49.99 and ships March 4th. I was interested in it back when it was scheduled to come out on the XBOX but knowing that its a port, I'm thinking I better wait for the $30-20 mark. What kind of game is it anyway?

I't's between this or Army of Two for me. From what I've read, it's a sandbox game in a school/small town setting. The reviews for the PS2 version were pretty positive so that's a good sign.

I'll prolly get this at some point. My son played the PS2 version and liked it and with the added content, it would be worth me playing through it.

What kind of game is it anyway?
Its a sandbox game where you complete missions, do side stuff, bully kids or pick fights with bullies, etc, etc.

GTA at a school basically.

I'm pretty tempted to get this, not sure whether to wait for a lower price point as I have a lot of games to get through at the mo.

I have this game for PS2 and I doubt they are going to add enough extras for a re purchase.

But...it was a very good game. Pretty short though. But very entertaining for a weekend of play. Its not worth a full blown 60 bones though. But well worth a good 30-40 price point.

I recommend a rental granting they dont change a lot from the PS2 edition.

I've been wanting to play this for a very long time, but I've patiently been waiting for the 360 version. I'm probably picking this up on day 1.

I played the PS2 version and loved it. GTA players will feel right at home with this game as the majority of the game mechanics share recent GTA titles. The achievement whore in me really wants me to pick this up again, but maybe if they lowered it $10 less you would have a sell. Hoping the reviews aren't bad.

Great game. One of my favorite from last generation. Its a lot like GTA, but its something you can relate to (story wise). I found it to be more fun compared to GTA games. The area is more detailed, but its smaller then GTA games. I will probably rent it just to play the new classes and such. Hope this gets some DLC.

I'm really torn about this game. I bought the PS2 version for like 15 bucks, started playing it, then heard a 360 version was coming and stopped. I wasnt too far in, so I thought I'd hold off to see how the original compares/contrasts w/ the 360 version. Now, I dont really know what to do. I know I wont play through the game twice so either I continue to wait or I just skip the extra content.

I think I'm going to wait till it drops to 25 or less. I have enough other games to ride it out. And if by some miracle there is no other game I wanna play, well I guess the PS2 version will suffice.

Picking this up day 1. Played through most of the PS2 version, but didn't finish it since I heard this one was coming out. It's a really fun game.

I read it's not really a port although I don't know how true it is. Game INformer had a good article on it I skimmed through at wal-mart. Graphics look a lot better than the PS2, added missions and stuff also.. so yeah I think I might try to get this game. free haha

I'm excited to gamefly this, or perhaps pick it up at blockbuster. I promised myself I would start renting games more because single player only games like this tend to rot on my shelf when finished.

I don't think I'll be getting this one UNLESS i'm super bored and out of games to play. I already beat it for the PS2 and it is a cleaner version of GTA. Fun game but is good for a rental replay value is sort of low. The missions are easier and not damn near impossible to beat like some GTA missions. I ended up beating it in about 1.5 weeks or less and sold it back to gamestop.

I'm thinking about getting it through gamefly for the achievements :D

I've got a $10 gift card and $3 coupon for Best Buy. I think I'm going to use it on this game. Just watched the IGN video review and it looks cool.

I've been hearing that it's still the best on PS2.

The reviews on the 360 said the popup and slowdown are pretty bad, but the overall game is decent. The Wii maintains framerate but by by lowering graphics. And it has some Wii mote functions that are so so.

Wouldn't mind checking it out though. I have the PS2 one and it's really good.

this game will be 50 dollars when it comes out because it is not an exact port. It has updated graphics and new classes. Yes, you have these little mini games that are considered classes.

This game is nice to play when you had a rough day and need to expell some stress. I find it quite fun and stress relieving.

i beat this on ps2, and i'll probably buy it again at $20 for 360....

and, yes, it's not a port. it's a new engine built from the ground up for 360.

I'm definitely interested in playing this - can't wait until it drops to below $30. It looks like it would be a good time killer as a rental before GTA 4 in April.

I was in 2 minds about Bully but I think I will get it this week. I wanted to play it when it was on PS2 and I think if I don't get it now I'll never get round to it. Especially with GTA round the corner.

IGN says that the framerate struggles in this game. Please post your opinion of the framerate once you get the game b/c I held off on buying the PS2 version for the xbox (original) version and I hope I didn't wait for nothing

Gamefly is sending this to me today, so I should have it on Thursday. I'm sure there will be plenty of other impressions by then, but I'll post mine anyway.

Picked it up today. I actually got a free $50 giftcard to BestBuy from Mastercard so I decided to just go ahead and get the game.

My very first impression was not good. The in-game engine shows parts of the school and area town while the opening credits roll and you could see the low framerate and the graphics engine struggling. Once in to the actual game I haven't really noticed any graphical hiccups but there are excessive and frequent load screens. And while it looks quite better than the PS2 version, it certainly doesn't hold up in the graphics department to most Xbox 360 games. It's obvious there are new textures and lighting but certain things (like people's hands) look dated and blocky. The gameplay itself is new to me as I never played the original on the PS2 and it certainly has a grand theft auto feel to it. You basically run around completing missions when you aren't in class and classes themselves are comprised of mini-games. Of course, you can bully other kids, or fight bullies, or steal from lockers, or skip class and make havoc with your slingshot; all the makings of being in a school filled with misfits. Overall, I'm enjoying the game but I can't see it holding my attention very long since I have Lost Odyssey on order and I keep going back to COD4's sublime multiplayer. It's worth it if you are a fan of Rockstar's other games or perhaps missed it on the PS2. I'm just not sure if it was worth $50.

Sounds like a great rental if you didn't play the original.

I was thinking of picking it up, until you mentioned this...now I'm just going to rent it.

It didn't even load this much in the PS2 version. I swear, it loaded to get to the loading screen.

Let me give you a walkthrough from starting the game to getting to your dorm room.

It went to a loading screen, played a cutscene, loaded, showed a quick tutorial, loaded, got into the game.. punched someone, got taken down, it loaded, I went in a building, it loaded, I went up to the principal's office, it loaded, played a cutscene, loaded again, I walked back outside, loaded again, went to my dorm, loaded again, saved.

What's sad is that the above is not an exaggeration in any form whatsoever.

I'm so disappointed. The loading really kills it for me. This one will be going back when Condemned 2 is out.

It is compared to GTA, but I think it is so much better because of the angst and comedy involved. I played Bully yesterday on 360 at a friends house and it is so much more fluid than the PS2 version, seems to have a lot more classes also. However I am not sure that I would get it, considering I had it on PS2 and these open "free roam/GTA style" games always get boring to me. Graphically I would say because of the shadows and smooth lines it, and fluidity, I would rank somewhere above a launch 360 game but less than current new titles.
