Bungie's Unnamed Title: Gen. Discussion - The weirdness continues.
Kinda funny you say this. I seem to remember Halo starting out as an RTS.

Could be wrong on that.
You are not wrong.

As far as Halo Wars being crap - RTS games aren't my bag, but Ensemble is generally a competent developer. I don't think Halo Wars is going to be shitty for those who are into that sort of thing.

Is it just me, or does the text on the left say "REQUIRES YOUR COMPLETE COOPERATION"? Go to the website yourself and zoom in and see what you think.

No, you're definitely right. It was originally supposed to be on PC too, I remember reading an article on it before the xbox came out and thinking "wow, that's going to be amazing." If I remember right you were supposed to be able to go around the entire Halo and your choices would effect the game (ex. you could save some marines from the covenant prison or attack one of their supply trains or something)

Im so fucking confused right now. I dont know what to believe right now. So the set announcement time was supposed to be at 10AM tomorrow right?

I actually have an old trailer for Halo where Chiefs head is like straight up square. But anyway, Where do you see the complete cooperation message and what is the site???

To the left of the word SYNC. It's really blurry and hard to read, but I think that's what it says. It's on Bungie.net, near where the timer used to be.
I'm seeing...

REQUIRES
YOUR COMPLETE COOPERATION
*can't read*
PERSISTENT 10 LINES (?)
Glad I'm not the only one seeing it then. I wonder if it's important?

Timer code on http://1019foxfm.net/

COUN7DOWN 7O 7HE END:

var chinatime = new Date(2552,10,9,6,7,0);

TargetDate = "08/07/2008 7:17 PM";
BackColor = "Black";
ForeColor = "White";
CountActive = true;
CountStepper = -1;
LeadingZero = true;
DisplayFormat = "%%D%% Days, %%H%% Hours, %%M%% Minutes, %%S%% Seconds.";
FinishMessage = "It is finally here!";

So it ends at 8/07/08 at 7:17 PM and says "it's finally here"
Something else. That countdown on the http://1019foxfm.net/, ends on August 7th at 7pm PST.
Really, of this year??? Maybe we should keep an eye on that. This is the kinda stuff I like, crazy creepy puzzles.:D:D
Ok, what is Bungie Day again, the anniversary of Halo.
July 7th. 7/7. Bungie loves the number 7.
Goddam this is more complex than Cloverfield =P This is interesting, also there is 6 sentences in the announcement.
Well there are 7 thoughts if you count the sentence with the semicolon as two separate thoughts. But like I said, I was probably grasping at straws there. Honestly I'm not sure if this is real or not, I'm torn. But since my xbox is busted and out for repairs I figure it's worth it to try and investigate regardless.
How do you zoom in on the "Cooperation" message??
In Firefox, just hold Ctrl and scroll up with the mouse wheel. Also View->Zoom in the menu.

Hmm, Both Halo and Halo 2 were released in November....and Halo 3 in September...maybe it is a new halo game, like a prequel other that Halo Wars. All I can say is it has to be something big.

Yeah, I saw that zew. Maybe I'm just delusional and bored but I still think there's about a 25% that it's all part of their viral marketing
Kotaku is posting some weird "Page K" stuff that seems to have some kind of connection. Who knows really though.
Link?

That Kotaku thing is the main reason I haven't fully bought that the cancellation is legit. That looks like something definitely in on the "game."

Oh my god... they are like shit the game sucked and we had to pull it... I know throw in some random ass pointless viral site that will keep the fanboys busy and they wont realize what we did.

:applause: Of course. Why didn't we think of it before?

Here's the page with the Page K posts.

http://kotaku.com/tag/page-k/

At this writing the Rock Band one is new, and obviously has nothing to do with anything even remotely related to Bungie/Halo/whatever, so I think that goofy cryptic one was just some writer being weird and trying to seem like it was part of the Bungie stuff.
UPDATE: The Pony toy from the webcam at bungie has been replaced quickly with some monster thing. Does this mean anything?
