Burn Notice

Another great episode, of course, the questions I have are still unanswered...but thats why I wanna watch it even more. Im a bit sad that the season is almost over, and the fact that there wont be a new episode for a while =/

OK, I caught up with Burn Notice. Yays.

Burn Notice, Season 2
Episode 4, "Comrades"

"Fi, you are one, crazy chick."

"Oh, he has expressive eyes."

"Can't you see his mind is gone?"

Now---that---is the Fi I like to see. I felt she was waivering in the first few episodes as a schizophrenic clone of the Fi I grew to like in Season 1. Less drama, more action. Now, that's not saying I dislike all drama; just not that much in a short time.

Ivan is less of a polish hammer than I figured. Michael took him down rather easily. Though, Ivan looked good with the black hood to the background of techno music. I think I saw his head bob at the end of that scene. This said, it's still a shame he had to die. I felt sorry for when he was tricked at the end.

Nate and Michael. Братья носят floaties бассеина пока едущ единорог.

Solid Bruce Campbell episode. From his restaurant antics as Fi's father to waving the DEA badge around, it was a nice Brucie-centric fun-fest. It's a nice change of pace from snarky, sidekick Brucie.

Burn Notice, Season 2
Episode 5, "Scatter Point"

"Trevor... The Client."

"Sam, marry me."

"Now you gotta do them all over again."

I was waiting with spiked anticipation for "Fifi" to scream. Fi watching Sam get beaten with a look of delight was utterly hilarious. And man, I don't even want to know what Fi would charge for escort services. I imagine I would need to sell Cuba to get the cash.

That's a quite a predicament, that marriage. "If she's hot enough" is my motto. If she looks like she'll age well, go for it. Last thing you would want to do is marry something that will deteriorate down to a wrinkled Grimace.

Michael is a man of many talents. Next episode I assume he'll use the Macarena to disable a band of armed thugs.

This is perhaps one of my favorite episodes. It was solid at all points: story (Trevor's tale), progression (new crossword, Sam's loss), and fun (see: Fi).

Burn Notice would make for a pretty interesting sandbox third-person action game. Rockstar, are you listening?

Burn Notice, Season 2
Episode 6, "Bad Blood"

"Leave the GPS alone, Michael! :("

"See ya tomorrow, pal."

"I'm checking out a town house tomorrow that looks right into a yoga studio."

The opening needs to use anime as an example and update itself. It does not do justice for the series. They even have accent Fi in the opening. It's mildy disturbing.

Hey Victor, I like your style. You appear to be a worthy adversary for our suave, dashing savior. Here's hoping your death is loud and colorful. I'll do the eulogy. I'll be sure to be loud and colorful.

Angry, skanky Fi equals happy pants. Hi, my name is Chase!

Burn Notice, Season 2
Episode 7, "Rough Seas"

"Hey Fi, keep Jackass company, he likes shiny things."

"Jackass, fruit smoothies for our friends."

"They will never fit. Stay out of my closet."

Virgil doesn't mind snug boxers. He is such a trooper. I can't wear boxers. They are probably the most uncomfortable undergarment known to humankind, and I've worn a thong.

Shut up.

I like Seymour the arms dealer. Here's hoping he becomes a regular like Barry as he leads to hilarious scenes. Michael needs to be nicer to him. He and Jackass are quite the tag team.

Nerd Michael made me pee myself. His run had me in tears. My god, an inhaler! Tears, down my face. Pee, in my pants.

Comedy is definitely my preferred method of handling the situation between Fi and Michael.

Mythbusters would be proud about their accurate diagnosis of shooting a gas tank.

I have a bad feeling about Brian Johnson and the Dragunov. I think they're going to kill off Sam. I just feel it.

Great show. They better not kill off Sam... losing Bruce Campbell would drain much of the appeal from the show for me. Bruce Campbell = win.

I'm excited for the rest of the season with the dragunov assassination plot.

Exactly. I was on the edge during the episode when he was close to dead, being held hostage on that one ship.

Burn Notice, Season 2
Episode 8, "Double Booked"

"1. Outfitted me with a cover ID."

"Slippery slopes can be fun. Kinda like water slides."

"Me."

Unexplained kills? Selling secrets? That is not the yogurt-eating, enchanting Michael I know. Larry provided a spotlight to shine on Michael's hidden past. I wonder if they'll further delve into Michael's spy past. Perhaps we'll travel back to the future, or, uh, past, or something. Maybe Carla will have him pick up special shoes with power laces?

Larry is one wild and crazy guy. I have a feeling he often went under the guise of "Brian Pillman." I am somewhat glad he didn't have a cleansing rash of heart-attacks. Hopefully in the future he pays Michael a visit. The same goes for Seymour the arms dealer, and, of course, Jackass. Maybe next time Larry will be the Dead-ee.

I don't like Campbell. However, I have a feeling Fiona's doing it/him just to keep herself busy and/or to tease Michael. Plus, the last thing we need is another Lana and Clark from Smallville. This just keeps things fresh. But make no mistake about it, Campbell is certainly no Campbell.

All things are finally starting to fall into place. Hooray for continuity!

These days, that direction is such a fucking cop out... If they EVER do that to this show I'm sending hate mail. Empty pipe bomb anyone?

Although, gotta say this is the first show where I don't want the two to get it on.

BTW, why the fuck is Smallville still fucking on...?

Those two were Hilarious! Moar!

Hahaha... Yes, if they pull a Lana/Clark with Michael/Fi I will burn things. I have watched Smallville since the start, and a.) have no idea why it has lasted eight seasons, b.) have no idea why I still watch it. :whistle2:k

Seymour has a special place in the Burn Notice portion of my heart. He was quite fun. :D

"Jackass, fetch our guests some punch!"

sadly, the only reason I ever started watching was to see when they would get it on... that got old about oh... season two? Did they ever get it on!? if not... good fucking lord someone chuck Kryptonite at Clark's head.

lol, that guy looks like a psycho or maybe on something, but damn... HILARIOUS! Jackass! No! You'll blow us all up!

They did. Clark, no lie, jackhammered things so hard that it caused tremors in Smallville. :whistle2:# One would figure Lana's pretty much cratered now. :fridge:

Wait... they killed her off? wow... can't even do that right.

They wrote her off last season.

Now, she travels China street fighting. ;)

:bomb:

So... seriously, what is in that show that's worth watching without her... ?
Erica Durance. ;) Hehehe...

I watched the last episode of this year. It was adequate. I felt the ending was USA Network-cheesy I feel Burn Notice is above, though.

I think Carla's going to try to coerce Michael into playing sniper.

Oh, she's still there? Cool, I guess that would be a good reason. lol Still that show was done long ago. Anyway, Gonna watch the finale RIGHT NOW! :D

Yep. The Durance is looking good in Season 8, too. I guess they are... that's a plus. ;) :whistle2:#

Jeffrey Donovan does well this episode. It's one of those memorable covers, like Frightened Nerd Scientist and Middle Eastern Conning Con Man.
That was not really the ending I was expecting. Also, I hate "to be continued". At least it's not a long wait.
Yeah, I was expecting either a thrilling end or some closure. That ending provided neither. I think Burn Notice is above those USA Network-cheesy spots. So, that spot at the end really caught me off guard.

Of course, it's just one black eye in a world of love for the show. January 2009 needs to happen next week.

Carla's expressions during the episode were pretty funny, especially the one where Michael gets away. lol

It's Jan?! oh... darn. Ok, maybe a little longer than I first thought. Oh well...

Yeah, I liked Michael's smirk. Hehehe... :D

Episode 10 apparently happens this winter. I cannot find a specific date, but it's supposedly Winter 2008.

A little spoiler for next season:

provided by Jeffrey Donovan (don't have a link at this time, sorry). Michael and Carla finally have a shootout, one gets wounded. Pretty obvious it isn't Michael..

!

And that's all I have to say.

Man, I hate to be continued stories, but I really dig the two half seasons instead of one full season, can't wait to see how this one turns out. This is one of my favorite shows on TV right now. We've all had dreams of being spies, and the tips Michael gives in the voiceovers are great. Mostly BS, but still entertaining. I actually like the way they edit the show, it fits in with the Miami style they're trying to convey.

The second to last episode had Michael's former compatriot heading off to Buffalo. When I heard the show was going to reair in the winter, I thought it would be cool if for the second half of the season the show jettisoned its Miami locale, and just took place in dreary, winter Buffalo amidst Max Payne style snow storms. The reasons for me thinking he may have followed that character will ruin the last episode for those who haven't watched it, and I don't know how to do a spoiler button.

I was busy last night.

If I do not watch it before I go to bed in about an hour, I'll definitely provide commentary over the weekend (if not this afternoon).

Awesome episode last night...I like that Michael pretty much lost his soft spot and is becoming a hard ass...can't wait for the remainder of the season!!!!

I'll be catching up on the last 3 episodes tonight :D

"You gotta unlock the door. Push, push ... jackass."

"Don't look at me. She's the boss."

It was somewhat refreshing to see Donovan stretch the boundaries of Michael Westin.

I am glad this show has returned.
TED gets me mine. He's even better than Tivo. xD
"the one who burned you is closer than you think"

Wha wha!?

lol, was it that "time of the month?!"

Oh man, it's always funny to see Carla's plans backfiring. lol

Oh yeah... I find it kinda funny that Micheal's place has a solid front door and then a balcony with wood doors that's open all the time. Was that always there too?

Edit: Ok, I guess there was that balcony before.
