I'm thinking of finally pulling the trigger on this. I'm looking at a Burnout Paradise Rock Band 2 trip to GameStop today. Yikes - $$$.
 
Usually, the Burnout updates happen at around 3am EST/12am PST... So only a mere 3 hours or so away. :)

The Cagney update was supposed to be released at around the aforementioned time, but was actually released 30 mins later for some reason. :whistle2:k

EDIT: I just found out the update will come out around 5am EST/2am PST... My bad! :x

So you don't see anything when you crash into the wall? That's actually nice, as I was tired of having to watch my death repeatedly.
 
The female biker is certainly well-endowed.

Did I read the one burnout award right in that you must play the game for 24 hours straight on the 24 hour day/night cycle setting? Or does it need you to just play through one entire day at any setting?

Sometimes if you crash and skid it will show the bike slide down the road on its side, but if you head straight into a wall it will just disappear.

I'm liking the bikes tho, its fun to weave in and out of traffic without worrying about crashing into as much.

I was playing for a bit.. I like the bikes.. I was gonna hop online but I didnt see any of you guys on, and plus my PS3 bluetooth devices froze again, so I just shut off the PS3.. I'll be on in a bit after dinner to see if you guys are playing so we can try some of these challenges :)

I know you get one from getting 50% complete on your license (did that last night). I bet the other bike comes when you get 100%.

But yeah, I think the bikes update is really cool. Driving at night makes the game really interesting. I agree with Mana Knight - it would be awesome if you could race, but maybe they will add that in later. Who knows? I mean, they added in all of this great stuff that went beyond my expectations, especially for free.
 
I bought the game today and it told me it had to update so I said okay. Now the screen has been black for about 5 minuntes. Is that normal?
 
I waited about 20 mins and it stayed black. Than I ejected it and the menu screen never came up. I had to shut off the PS3 with the switch and reboot it. I than put the game in again and it went through the loads and actually went to a downloading screen. I wonder if it was the game or the PS3?

Sounds like a random freeze.
 
it took me several tries to get the dl i kept getting to like 3% and stopping i shut off the media server thing then it worked like a charm

Whaaat? All of this hype for the bikes update and they can't race, not even online? I thought that was the main point of putting them in?

I'll admit I kind of like the city checkpoints (like the races in GTA3 and up, though I'm sure that's not the only series to use them) for time races, I was disappointed the actual car races always just had point A to point B, every time. After awhile it starts to feel repetitive.
