buy 2 get 1 free on new games 18.99 and under. april 1st through the 16th.

20% off portable games and accesories (all gameboy, DS, PSP). im not sure if that means 10% for normal customers and 20% for mvp customers but more or likely that is what it means.

$20 off a 360 game with purchase of an xbox live 3 month card.

i believe they all start on april 1st but i could be wrong.

Any idea how long it'll last? Otogi 2 sounds very tempting and i'm sure i can find two other things. It's odd, just an hour ago i was bitching to my friend how Gamecrazy needs another buy 2 get 1 free sale so i guess welcome back to sweet, sad poverty for me.

More info? They just had this on 3/3, and it was supposed to end on the 20th, but I believe there was a hotmail that made it end on the 12th or 13th. If this is true, it'd be a great excuse to start scouting for the classic plastic sale which should be around the end of the month

The clerk at the store I went to today said it started April 1st, but that store has often gotten it wrong in the past.

I'll have to check it out anyway, they had some good stuff.

april 1st through 16th. also going on will be 20% off used portable games and accesories. i don't know if that means 10% for non mvp members and 20% for mvp members but more or likely that is what it means. also, $20 off a 360 game when you buy an xbox 360 live 3 month subscription card.

is that 20% off used portable games or new ones? mvp or not? it'd be nice to know.

there's a lot of good games for under 18.99. there is a list of them floating around somewhere on thie site.

add: 25% off logitech accessories.

I was at gamecrazy last night and asked if they were running any promotions. He said only on b2 g1 on these crappy $4.99 games, but nothing else.

Just got back a lil earlier from taking a rental back to Hollywood Video and Gamecrazy had no signs up at all for any of this. Didn't ask since the couple of games i'd be interested in were all 19.99. I did grab a pretty good conditon Game Gear system for $9.99 though. :)

Game crazy has the cheepest prices of any game store but they never know what the hell is going on in Arizona or New York! I visit stores in these locations often. The damn computers are never updated and the employes never no what the hell's going on with sales or anything. Everything mentioned in the first post of this forum is true with the sale. Just go yell at the employes at your local game crazy's. - Then they have the retarded $18.99 and under sale all the time which is f*ing horrible. The only games they put out are second site and harry potter. YUCK! You can still find some great games if you look behind the counters where they have them lined up and not put out or on the wall. Here's what I have found: for $17.99 or under and most $9.99 monster rancher 4, rpg maker II, Gradius V, Culdcept, navel ops, robot alchemic drive, eye toy anti grave, and many more. Last is the damn mvp card which IS NEVER EVER GOOD ON ANY FREE GAME SALE AND IT CAN'T BE COMBIND WITH ANY COUPONS. I'd still rathr go there before I get ripped at eb or gamestop though who charges ebay price for games now which is rediculous.

Hope this helps you cag's!

PS. The district manager in Western New york and the Transit/Eastern Hills location can blow me.

One out of 4 stores I went to knew about this. I only bought items at 2, and the second store had to call the first to see what was up, and since the guy didn't know it was just ps2/gc/xbx I got some GBA games buy 2 get 1:

Willoughby, OH
Winning Eleven 6
Escape From Monkey island
Culdcept - FREE
Used - Disgaea (MINT)
40.xx (just noticed I didnt get MVP discount on Disgaea)

Cleveland, OH (Kinsman Rd)
Goblin Commander (GC)
RPG Maker II
Culdcept - FREE
Dukes of Hazard XBX
Futurama XBX
Fatal Frame XBX - FREE
Legend of Zelda Classic GBA
Lunar Legend (!!!)
Dr Mario Classic GBA - FREE
75.xx

Also stopped by Mentor and Maple heights. Tried to stop by University Heights and found it its been closed for 9 months - fucking store locator

Most places had some decent stuff, just nothing I needed. Almost eveywhere is devoid of Gamecube unfortunately, and in two stores Pikmin 2 was 17.99 on the wall, but rung up at 29.99. There might have been some other drops too (unless I already missed the thread) - Mario Kart DD is 24.99 new, and apparently 13.xx used (marked this way at Willoughby). Covenant, Gradius V and a 3rd game (Pucelle, Phantom Brave) would make a good B2G1 for 37.xx after tax. Mentor has a bunch of Dual Hearts for 9.99, and some opened stuff. Willoughby has a ton of Phantom Brave, not sure how many are LE, and they also have a Shadow Hearts minus manual for 11.xx. Employee Justin at Willoughby is a total douche - story tomorrow.

Brave man going to Kinsman Road. Wish I knew they had Goblin Commander there, I might have stopped by a while ago - any chance there's another copy? Also got pissed off by the store locator at UH during the last classic plastic sale.

And yes, Justin is a douche, if he's the little manager.

Well, when the store locator told me Kinsman Rd, it conveniently left out what part of Cleveland that was in. I've never been in that area before, so to go from University Hegihts to ghetto Cleveland in like 5 minutes is scary. I wasn't paying attention until I saw 114th St - if the street has 3 digits, you know you are in trouble.

Anyways, on to Willoughby. So I get there, and I think I got off on the wrong foot with the guy, because I note the gamestop across the street and say "Wow, the competition is pretty close over there" and he gets little person syndrome and says "THEY ARENT COMPETITION! WE ARE THE ANCHOR STORE IN THE AREA" - okay, fine. I find the Disgaea and check the disc, it's perfect. I then ask for some games behind the counter for the buy2get1, and he says "All the games for the sale are on that A-frame over there in the hollywood video". That obviously wasn't true, and the problem with the A-frame is that is was full already. Unfortunateky it was full of multiple titles of games, as I counted THIRTEEN fuckING COPIES OF BARD'S TALE XBOX, ALL GUTTED. That's wrong on multiple levels. Anyways, of course the games I pick ring up as buy2get1, and as I'm paying the following conversation happens:

ME: I know this is a longshot, but do you have any copies of Metal Gear Solid 3? The Limited Edition?
Justin: The one with the red box?
ME: Yeah.
Justin: *pauses* Well, yes and no. I do have one. But its mine in my hold box and I'm buying it today, so you can't have it.
ME: Wow. You should enjoy it.
-Justin notes that I got my MVP card in Austintown, which is quite a ways a way
ME: Yeah, that's why I asked about MGS3, because I'm not in the area often.
Justin: Well that's too bad, because I have more coming in.
ME: Wow, that's pretty lucky. No stores I know of had a reshipment, most didn't even have enough to fill preorders.
Justin: *pauses* Yeah, well that's because mine are coming in from a different store.
ME: Oh really? Which one?
Justin: Maple Heights
ME: That's odd, I called them 2 days after it came out and they were already out
Justin *pause* Yeah, maybe for loose copies, but they had preorders that didn't get picked up.
ME: Shocking that they lasted, because you guys normally only hold preorders for like 3 days, and its been a few weeks...
Justin: *bead of sweat* ...they must have still been behind the counter...
ME: ...and they usually don't send new product like that to other stores. But anyways, has it shipped yet?
Justin: What?
ME: Well, I am going to stop by Maple Heights on the way home, so if they are still there I'll see if I can finagle one
Justin: Well, we really don't ship them. They get delivered
ME: Oh, that's right. Sometimes you give them to the DM while he is making the rounds
Justin: No, an ex employee who used to work at this store got them and will be dropping them off
ME: Huh. Well, if that's the case, maybe I can buy the one you have on hold since you have more coming in
Justin: NO, because they guy hs the day off and won't be dropping them off today (?), and I AM BUYING MINE TODAY.
ME: (now irritated) Just thought I'd ask, since I don't live around here AND SINCE YOUVE HAD IT ON HOLD FOR WEEKS, FIGURED YOU COULD WAIT ANOTHER DAY TO PLAY THE DAMN THING
Justin: *hands me stuff and walks away*

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not mad that I didn't get the game, as I knew there was about a 1% chance of success rate going in. I am dumfounded that he said "Yeah I have one, but its mine and you can have it", as anyone with a fucking brain knows you don't say that to a customer - the correct answer is "No, we don't have any". Then, I can't figure out why he just started tacking on a bullshit story when I wasnt pressing the issue. I just got off the phone with Rob at Maple Heights, who had a good chuckle and said "No, nothing has left my store, we get rid of preorders 3 days if they arent picked up, if anything did leave my store it wouldnt be some random person picking it up, we never had any MGS3 LEs, and I replaced that guy at this store and they sent him there, maybe shit like this is the reason". LOL. I'm gonna relate this story to my local stores and see what they think

Dave

Hahah.. yeah, I'm sure that's the same guy. Of course, I've only seen two guys at that store, him and a rather large gentleman. Who is a pretty helpful dude; when I special ordered Secret of Evermore, he called over to the Mentor store (or somewhere over there) where he thought they had it in stock before charging me $6 extra.

If you thought Kinsman Rd was bad, then one time I went there, I was on a multi-store tour; my next stop was an EB on Broadway, about five miles away. Mapquest took me from ghetto Cleveland to side streets in deep ghetto Cleveland (E. 77??). Good times.

I went to GC this afternoon and asked what PS2 games were under $18.99. The poor guy spent 5 minutes on his computer and then told me he couldn't figure out a way to get a list of games under $18.99.

I looked at their display and only found 3 PS2 games under $18.99 - Fight Club, and two more craps that I couldn't even remember.

To draw the collective power of the CAG, does anyone know of a list of new/sealed games that are under $18.99?
