Title says it all. If you're looking for any used xbox games, it will be the time to pick them up. I don't think there are any restrictions on the games that qualify for the B2G1 either. The sale ends on 2/18. If something new comes up for the following marketing period, I'll let you all know. I'm hoping for a trade deal to come up soon.

EDIT:
The GI coupon may not work since it says not valid with any other offers, we'll see when it goes into effect if it works or not.
Any word on whether or not this will apply to ps2 games?
Only a sign for xbox games was included in the kit. And just to clarify, this is for the original xbox, not the 360.
Probably Feb. 28...
Actually, I'm not sure when it ends atm. I'll have that in the next few days hopefully. Most marketing plans run for about a month, so around the 26th of Feb. is most likely when it will run to.

Sweet! I guess nows the time to stock up on some good xbox games...hmmm. Thanks for the coupon reminder...I posted the damn thing and always forget about it!
Weird that it is just for Xbox, and not all used items.
I think it has to do with the fact the used xbox games are the worst selling used game. Many original xbox users are now 360 users. Ps2 games still sell because of so many ps2 users out there still. It will be a while before the ps3 does what the 360 did to the xbox...if that makes any sense.

This may be time for me to finish up the remainder of my XBox collection. Good thing, too, since the local stores still have some decent XBox titles left over.

While I prefer regular buy 2 get 1 free, though my checking account doesn't, I am sure I can take advantage of this. Thanks for the heads up.

Too bad I already used the extra 10% coupon though when I bought some PSP stuff.

Thanks OP, not bad if your local GameStop has some used Xbox titles you're eyeing. Kinda lame that it's only good for Xbox titles, but after reading Kevzik's post I see why they're doing it.

Wait- I'm an idiot, do I NEED a coupon to get the b2g1 deal, or is that just for the extra 10% on top of the 10 you get with the Edge card?

Ninja Gaiden Black
Jade Empire LE
Knights of the Old Republic 2
Halo 2
Soul Calibur 2
Panzer Dragoon Orta [oh please be BC one day]
DDR Ultramixes [okay, serious question, I realize they default as unplayable because there is no 360 pad but, do they even load on the 360?]
2D fighters [please please, BC one day]
Half Life 2? [Worth playing?]
Doom 3? [Worth playing?]

Any more that a new 360 owner who never had the original XBox needs to pick up? Please make some suggestions, especially ones I can actually play.

I already have the first KOTOR and the first Halo, as well as Shenmue 2

Ninja Gaiden Black
Black

Half Life 2 and Doom 3 were both fun on the PC and from what I read were pretty good on the Xbox as well.

Well ... since the original console has been discontinued, as opposed to say, PS2, my guess is that's why they're having the sale. Visit any eb/gamestop and you'll find many shelves of used xbox games. Folks might even want to wait; at some point soon they're going to have to offer even more dramatic sales (I don't think selection will be an issue -- they have lots of practically every title). Still, it IS tempting!

sweetness. I can finally pick up those Kingdon Under Fire games, as well as some other stuff Ive been mildly interested in.

Question for you guys. I have Ninja Gaiden. I never beat it, it was okay, but it got too hard to quickly for me, and I never took the time to learn how to play properly.

Is getting NG: Black worth it if I already have the original game?

If you found NG too hard, then NGB has its "Dog Mode" which is easier (though still not a cakewalk). One of the best games for the original XBOX, so definitely worth playing through.

If you like FSP, HL2 and D3 are great. If you have a PC then I say get the PC version of both, but if not, enjoy it them in HD on your 360.

HL2, IMO, is one of the best games ever made, it was 6 years in development and you can really see where all that time went. Only problem is the Xbox version has no multiplayer :(

What?? KOTOR and KOTOR2 were awesome games. KOTOR2 did seem to have an incomplete ending, but up to the end it was awesome.

Kotor 2 is half a game. I dont know why, but they ended the game early to get it in stores and its simply unfinished. I believe haxors found written game dialogue on the disc that revealed what the true ending was suppossed to be. They cut off at least the last 25% of the game.

Saying that the ending of KOTOR II is incomplete is being very kind to that ending. It was so bad that I had no interest in a playthrough as an evil character.
Awesome, I'm hoping to hit up a ton of stores today, EB first on my list.
This sale doesn't start until Monday.

I'd hold off on HL2 if you have a 360. The 360 version is coming out soon with (although dumbed down versions) 2 of the extra episodes, and Team Fortress. The Xbox version is very commendable for pulling of what it did on the console, but can experience some frame rate lag (along with looking noticeable duller). Also.. and I don't know if some will agree with me on this.. but it seemed like the load times were longer on the 360 BC than on the original Xbox.

I'd definitely recommend Sid Meier's Pirates, maybe Thief (I thought it was alright, I have the PC version as well), Deus Ex IW (if you've missed it the other thousand times it has been on clearance). Pirates translated pretty damned well IMO from PC. Also.. if you can pick up a Doom CE and snag the disc with the old Doom games on it, it'll save you some marketplace points since it's BC (at least it worked for me a long time ago, I'm not sure if it still does).

I agree with an earlier post.. damned it, bring Panzer Orta and the other Sega games (such as Toe Jam and Earl III) to the BC list damned it!

only a few more xbox games i need to finish off my collection.

planning on picking up halo 2, black, and doom 3

i already have doom 3 for my computer but for some reason it doesn't run well. its all choppy even at lower resolutions.

Very cool, I was just thinking that I need to get a copy of GTA:SA for my 360. Now maybe I'll pick up a few decent XBox games I passed by last generation (Thief, Hitman ... maybe I'll check the BC list first).
Half Life 2? [Worth playing?]

Any more that a new 360 owner who never had the original XBox needs to pick up?
Half Life 2 is worth playing, no question. HOWEVER, if you are a 360 owner, I'd suggest waiting for Valve to release Half Life 2 WITH episodes 1 AND 2 and Team Fortress and Portal for the 360.

HL2 is okay on the xBox, but the bump mapping is incredible on the pc, and it was very compressed on the xBox. The 360 port with the two additional Episodes is looking to be equal to what the better gaming pc rigs can do.

Burnout 3, Forza, Psychonauts, DOA3 & Ultimate, all the GTAs, Crimson Skies, Lord of the Rings:Return of the King, Ghost Recon2, Splinter Cell:Chaos Theory, Rainbow Six 3... all backwards compatible, all in my personal collection, all awesome

thanks for the suggestions above. I think I'll pick up san andreas and sell my ps2 copy (planning on selling my whole ps2 col. soon anyway). I don't know too much about orginial xbox games, but are there any okay RPGS? did they even come out with RPGS for the xbox?

I can also personally vouch for the quality of these games, except maybe Ghost Recon 2, but if that's your type of game, it's okay.

San Andreas not only looks better, but controls so much better with the shoulder buttons instead of the black and white buttons.

As far as RPGs go, there aren't any good Japanese style RPGs on the system, but there are good Action RPGs, like Fable (it's BC), Jade Empire (BC), the Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance games (the second one is BC), Dungeons and Dragons: Heroes (not BC), and the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic games (the first is better, but both are BC).

Thanks man!

This deal is great for stocking up on multiples of the same game for 4 xbox system linking.

Gonna get some more Battlefront IIs, nothing like 16 people in the same room doing x-wing vs. tie-fighter combat.

I know this may be a stupid question..But why do they start these sales on a monday and not a friday when They can get a good start over the weekend?
