Negative, yes you can!

No, you cant. The system wont accept it. It may vary from store to store, but the one they just put up 4 months ago down the road from me does not let you use GGC on PC games.

Also, you get 2 PC games for $5 off. So its like you're using 2 GGC if you happen to find two games you want (or also want to ruin a friend's life by buying two copies of WoW :) ).

Well, after the dude rang up the gcc and wow, price on the screen = 14.99 Then again, maybe it was the 2 for 30 promo making it 14.99, but would the promo effect the games in that way? I really think the ggc works...well, at least at my bb.

they need a managers over ride to make the newer ggc's work if you have a pc game... thats just the way the system is set up.

At mine the GGC doesn't work on PC games, the employe had to manually override the price of the game in order to give me the discount last time I tried.

So yah you can probably get a cashier to do it even though the system will not accept it, but YMMV.

PeaceOut->

also it's an alternative to B&M, for people who want to order online. it's a fairly meh deal but I thought someone might get some use out of it.

Same here.

I've been told a computer game is "Computer Software" and does not count as a "Video Game". I tried to argue it a bit but they seemed pretty adament that the computer game I was holding at the time (Doom 3) was not a computer game at all, but rather a piece of software, much like Photoshop or Norton and wouldn't let it go through.

Yea, and when crap like that happens, thats when I become a dick and grab a wired xbox 360 controller and tell them if the CGG would work on it and when they say yes, then ponder on why because it can be used as a computer accesory.

Sure you could buy the one made specifically for windows and has a way to configure it, but still. It wouldn't be as funny pointing out a loop hole in their system.

BB would be in a living hell if the PS3 or 360 has some sort of upgrade that will let you play PC games on your console. That is, if the CGG is still around (seriously, how long are they gonna let us take advantage of them? I can keep on buying brand new DS games for 25 bucks anytime!!

How does that gift card thing work? I've never understood it-something about buying a $5 card, and then you get $5 off...?

The GGC says "$5 off video game SOFTWARE or accessory $19.99 and up" - confuse them with their own verbiage...

The key words being video game. PC games are computer game software. TOTALLY different. :roll:
