could of got half of those games cheaper using Mcdonalds Best buy buys. i play on picking up Contact and FF3 in nov with them : )

You mean that Best Buy Bucks promotion? I haven't eaten at McDonald's in over four years and don't plan to start again anytime soon.

Any idea why i am getting this message on the bottom of the checkout screen "We're sorry, one or more of the items in your basket do not allow the use of this service." I have contact in my cart and the google checkout is greyed out. I also tried a suitcase and the same thing happened. I am not signed in either. Any help would be appreciated.
I only get the not allow use of this service message when I have preorders in the cart.
When you say preorders do you mean that you have more than one in your cart at a time? I noticed that if I had 2 preorders it wouldn't allow it, but if I took one out it'd generally be ok.

Edit: I just broke down and ordered Portrait of Ruin from BestPrices, $26.97 shipped. I'm not getting the CD Sampler or whatever, but that's probably literally the best price I'll ever see for it.

I'm pretty sure that you will get that message if something that you are trying to order is also out of stock.
I don't know about him, but I have no intention of eating at MacDonalds.
who said i was eating at mcdonalds. Im sending in the request for the game pieces

Anyone know how fast shipping is from bestprices.com? I'm contemplating pre-ordering Castlevania and/or Yoshi's Island 2, but I'm pretty excited about those games, so if I'd have to wait an extra week for shipping I'd just as well pay an extra $5.

Hey I'm eyeing Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow but I've been buying a lot lately :b

Anyone seen it anywhere at a good price w/free ship?
So far I can get cduniverse just over $30, buy.com just under, with the google deal.
But both charge ship marring the beauty of the deal (particularly buy.com).

I'd like to know too since I got a GC.

I'm pretty sure you can't since Google checkout takes over before you could enter any coupons or gift certificates (ie, before you actually get to your buy.com account).

I remember seeing a coupon code link during google checkout, so it may be possible. I don't have any coupons or gift certificates. Why doesn't someone with a gift certificate actually try it out. If google is trying to become the all-in-one checkout center, I would find it strange if you couldn't use coupons. It would deter people from using their service.

Yes, but in this case they are already giving you the equivalent of a coupon with the $10 off. I'm pretty sure I read that you can't use coupons with it.

There will be games released that use it like there is for the PS2 Eye Toy, and then you have games coming out soon that will use the face-mapping feature, stuff like that. Then of course, yeah, you have video chat as well, even used in certain games (like Uno, etc...).

There is an add on Buy.com that confirms that this $10 off $30 deal will indeed be active until October, 31st, so there ya go. :)
Hey, buy.com just cancelled my order. WTF?
What did you order? They shipped my just cause (360).
Hey, buy.com just cancelled my order. WTF?
i think they cancelled part of my order as well

orderd nba rebound for psp and fire em for gamecube

when i go into my account it just now shows

SHIPPED Nba rebound the fire game isnt listed anywhere

screw buy if they try to pull this crap, i just dispute im not paying 22 bucks for nba rebound

Well, my Seven Samurai shipped today. I really, really, really, really, really hope they don't use some retarded flat carboards like best buy does. I want a box like DDD uses.

In other news, I'm weak man and order Curb your Enthusiasm Season 5 and Night and Fog (Criterion). I needed something cheap to take me to $30. I was going to get a graphic novel, but I went with a doc instead.
Nice - got Phoenix Wright for ~23 shipped from CD Universe!
Saw your post and I picked up PW for $23.54 too. :bouncy:

Yeah my order was cancelled too for the Xbox 360 camera. It says I'll get an e-mail soon as to why. I knew I shouldn't order from them again as they always screw me over.
What did you order? They shipped my just cause (360).
I ordered the 360 Vision Cameras. They said they tried to contact me via email to verify I was the person placing the order and that I didn't reply. The only email I got from them was "Your order has been cancelled" email. I tried to reorder but it would let me use Google Checkout to get the $10 off.
Is the only order status/tracking available via the Google Checkout order page?
For buy.com, you can check on the order status independent of Google Checkout. It just needs the order number, your last name, and phone number. I haven't figured out how to do it for CDUniverse or DVDEmpire.

Buy.com sucks. After getting my camera order cancelled, they say I can reorder it if I want it still, but the website will not allow the google coupon to be applied because the item isn't in stock anymore(it's on order). Also, I try to e-mail them using the customer satisfaction form, but it says e-mail can not be placed at this time. This is my second bad experience with them.
Has anyone ordered a DVD from Buy.com before? How do they package them?
I got a dvd from the today in a bubble mailer. Apparantley they ship items separately.

I just got my 6 volumes of Hellsing, 2-7. I ordered 2-4 and then 5-7 seperately so i coudl apply the $10 off for each order. $43 shipped for those. I also ordered Seven Samurai: The Criterion Collection for $23 shipped. They all arrived today, ALL of them in 3 seperate boxes :p Great condition :)
How do I use Googlecheckout with the Live cam?

NVM it's grayed out for some reason,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Make sure you're NOT logged into which ever site you're buying from. I made that mistake my first time through.

CastleVania GBA Double Pack would be $24.88 shipped from CDuniverse... that sound like a pretty good deal? I wanna make sure I'm not forgetting any of my options before I pull the trigger.
Hey the wording of that message made me curious, since they referred to the promotion as a "$10 bonus." Are you actually being charged $10 less for these orders, or are you just getting $10 credit added to some sort of Google account?

Nope, you're being charged $10 less. My bank statements show that i was charged $10 less.

The Xbox Vision camera is now $32.99, but it's "on order" so you can't order it with Google checkout... I wonder if it will come back in stock. $22.99 sounds pretty sweet.

for some reason i can't find much worth ordering.

gamefly has like 3 games that are $30 or over, and apparently you can't buy more than one game at a time to make the total go over 30.

shipping kills too many deals on buy.com....or the price just still isn't worth it at $10 off b/c the prices are so high already.

maybe its just me but i'm not having much luck!

I picked up CastleVania Double Pack (GBA) for $24.88 shipped on CDuniverse.com... as far as I can tell that's pretty much the best price you'll get online for a new copy. EB/Gamestop doesn't even list the game on their site anymore!

I'm gonna get Korn's "Chopped Screwed Live & Unglued" CD also, it's on sale for $19 and it usually costs about $30. And since the first disc sounds like garbage from what I've heard, I would really rather not pay full price for it. I'm just looking for something else good to bring the order total over 30. If I can get some quality filler at a normal price, it's kind of like I'm only paying $9 for the Korn set. Game deals to seem to be few and far between, with some truly bizarre prices on certain items ($57.55 for Resident Evil Zero... wtf?!?!?), so I'll probably just end up getting another CD to fill this one out.
