And no, I do not have a bottomless well of cash, but I don't drink and I'm pretty much frugal in every other aspect of things which normally cost guys in their 20s money, so video games are pretty much my only money hole (besides the one I share a bed with ;))

How could I forget you? I was really dissapointed when I saw they were now backordered through next year, but I guess they got some in afterall. I was totally blindsided by the shipping notification.

I've made an agreement to let ZxT make an offer unopposed for Arcadia. As he so logically illustrated to me, I could just buy a copy of Skies of Arcadia: Legends used from ebay for the same price I'd be buying you Devil Summoner. Of course, going about it my way means we both get a game that we want, but the GS store locator is showing two copies about thirty miles from me and since it's only $15 there it's worth the time and gasoline, even if it results in disc-only disappointment :D
 
For the record no sabatoging. I was actually checking ebay in light of a bidding war potentially insuing.

I am not in as good of a position though since the tracker shows none anywhere even remotely close to me :(

bv I will still trade you well for it though. :)

Well of course that wasn't sabotage. That was being responsible and ensuring that you wouldn't be overpaying/overtrading :D I went ahead and played my trump card right away because I knew that Arcadia fetches about the same as Devil Summoner, so there was some ebay snooping in that too :p

Either way, I think I'm going to bow out of this one. I had some money allocated for a rare game this month but I might try and see if I can track down a copy of Arcadia at Gamestop. There have been some copies of Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete CE on ebay that are going fairly reasonably right now that are tempting me (especially since every offer I've ever made for one on CAG has failed :lol:) and I'll probably go for one of those instead.
 
ahhh Lunar Silver Star... I once had every art variant in the Complete CE form. Sadly sold them all and kept the one of Luna on each disc instead (money was a bit tight at the time).

Perhaps I shall collect them all again. God that used to be my favorite RPG series aside from Final Fantasy...

I also had both variants of Eternal Blue but sold one. Kept the rarer one with Leo, Ronfar, Lemina on the discs :)

I am so very excited for the re-done psp version of it that X-Seed is bringing out in Feb. I will play that puppy from start to finish :D
 
I think I've mentioned this before, but I only started gaming mid N64/PS1 gen and didn't even play an RPG other than Pokemon until 2003 or 2004. That's why I'm furiously trying to gather all the classics, not just because they're valuable but because I still need to play a lot of 'em :lol:

Lunar definitely moved up in the queue once XSEED got the PSP remake. Old school RPG fans just constantly gush over the game and say the localization is the best of any game ever, and whether it's truth or nostalgia I still want to know for myself.

So, about the discs. Are there more than just this? I never bothered to memorize the variations.

that would all of them sir. There are only 2 art variants for Eternal Blue.

The two variants that were a bitch to get were the Ghaleon one on the top right and the Luna one on the bottom left. It pissed me off to no end whenever I would check ebay and request a picture and nobody would take pictures of the discs when I specifically asked.

The fan art one used to be quite rare (I would never see it on ebay). Now a days I see it quite a bit.

Now collecting all the Sega CD Variants will be costly and time consuming because they are not that common any more even on ebay.

EDIT: quick scan of ebay shows at least by my count 3 of the Luna art variant. Still dont see any of Ghaleon...

EDIT: Also just read an article stating Namco is debating doing a Tales of Vesperia sequel!! In light of the absolutely amazing sales numbers of the PS3 version in Japan. :D

Yeah, sometimes I worry that we're bending if not outright breaking CAG TL rules, but either they know it's not a conspiracy to keep your TL on the front page or we just don't do it enough to garner any attention. I wonder why they don't just implement something that allows us to reply to something without bumping the topic.

Oh damn, I'm glad the disc variants for Lunar were brought up. The ones that I was watching had boring discs. Looks like I'm going to have to go a little higher because it looks like the only one on ebay with the discs I want is already pretty expensive with bids. I wish someone here would just sell me theirs for like $50 shipped so I wouldn't have to screw with bidding and all the uncertainties that come with it, but everyone on CAG wants $70+ for theirs :lol:

It's not like I ignored him, I told him at 5:30 yesterday, like 5 posts above this one, that I would get back to him, which I still planned to do. In the intervening time I have been engaging in such other activities as living my life and doing my job, but apparently I was supposed to be working on mr. temporaryscars' timetable. I had every intention of selling him my HDD when I had the chance to grab it from my basement and figure out a price for it. Not now.
