BV is looking for 3DS RPGs. H: Lots of games, checking lists.

I finally got around to taking one picture that should suffice to illustrate once and for all why my setup isn't picture-worthy. I'm not the neatest person in the world, but this is horribly embarrassing even for me :lol:

And this isn't even all of it--not even half! What you're seeing is at the base of my home entertainment cabinet. There's also the sides, the back, and even another one in another room that's almost as bad. I have ZERO space left in any of my rooms for organization/cleanup. Whatever pics you're planning on showing, you can be ten times as proud of them now :D
 
nah not two weeks. it will take way longer. the only easy things going on my tag are:

Backyard Football, Avatar, Fallout 3 on PC. 3550 in points and it will take less than an hour.

Oh, and you know you're addicted to a game (like I am with Dragon Age) when you're kind of upset to be leaving on vacation tomorrow since I won't get to play it for a week. I need to pick a few DS/GBA games from the backlog to bring along with me, I'll probably at least try to finish Nostalgia.
 
Castlevania! Can't forget that. I am def picking up Order of Ecclasia next week when GS has the B2G1F. Do you recommend Jeanne D'Arc as well? Never played it but it looks alright.

I am hoping to find Nostalgia or the new Mario & Luigi game used but that might be wishful thinking.

The new tag is: Vendetta x360a and yes I am going mostly for 100% completion on stuff I actually want to play.

Jeanne D'Arc is fantastic. I've kind of set it aside for other stuff so I haven't finished it yet, but if you're a fan of SRPGs than it's well worth playing. It's less of a timesink than Disgaea too, probably about equivalent in length to FFT.

And Castlevania is definitely on the list. The only one I've ever played all the way through is SotN, but now that I've acquired most of the GBA/DS ones (other than OoE) I'm planning to start plowing through them. I need to find some good "plane" games, which for me usually means no touchscreen.
 
if you want no touch screen on the plane then don't play dawn of sorrow. You have to use the stylus to do drawing things so to speak to beat bosses. Portrait of ruin doesn't have that stuff. However Dawn of Sorrow is the better game of the two. I heard Ecclasia is the hardest of the three. None of them compare to the awesomeness of SoTN though.

I cant seem to decide on a 3rd handheld game for the B2G1F though... perhaps either Disgaea DS or My World My Way if they have either of them.

Dude, you HAVE to get Mario & Luigi. I got it during the Amazon B2G1 and it's a masterstroke. By far the best 1st-party Nintendo game I've played since Metroid Prime 3, and one of the top DS games period. It's graphically beautiful, inventive battle system-wise, and pokes fun at pretty much everything Mario. I was really skeptical about buying at first because you can't trust any old thing with Mario's face slapped on it to be good anymore, but it's superb.

Dawn of Sorrow is personally my favorite Castlevania game, with SotN a close second. Collecting nine of every Tactical Soul in the game had me obsessed like few games have ever made me. All the DS Castlevanias are pretty fantastic, though (even Portrait of Ruin, despite what detractors say.)

Ecclesia is by far the hardest. Especially on the first run-though before you have hax items like the Death Ring (well, technically you get that toward the end of your first run-though, but...) bosses like Goliath, Eligor, and Blackmore are pure hell and require twitch reflexes, major Glyph strategization, and huge memorization.
No seriously, these are post-game spoilers
Jiang Shi takes the cake, though. Not only is he a tougher bastard than Dracula could ever hope to be, his entire level is filled with boss-tier enemies to make it past just to get to him. Also, he has the greatest boss music in any Castlevania game ever.

Good luck finding My World, My Way. For whatever reason, it's Atlus' lowest print-run DS game and used copies are up around $40 on ebay. I was a moron and didn't buy a copy after they went $20 new at GS just because all the copies around me were gutted.

I am so happy I just finalized a trade for Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty! The disc version too!

Also was meaning to ask you if you find either: Ratchet & Clank (the original) or Ratchet & Clank 2: Going Commando (both black label and complete) anywhere near you pick em up and I will pay you or trade if you so desire.

I can't seem to find either anywhere near me (usually are Greatest Hits, or no cover art, or no book, etc). :( I could turn to ebay but not quite that desperate yet.

I am absolutely consumed by Assassins Creed 2. They improved everything from the first game. It is a serious GOTY candidate.

I am going to have to play Borderlands again myself. Plus the DLC is coming out this week. I will hit you up if you want to play. Probably after Assassins for me though.

It was kind of quiet for me since I was out and about all day, and not really in CAG mode all week. I got Borderlands and AC2 as early X-Mas gifts, and then stopped by a Gamestop in Santa Barbara today for the b2g1. Picked up Castlevania: OoE finally, Zack and Wiki which I've been looking for, and also an extra copy of Skies of Arcadia Legends in fantastic condition (I always check the Gamecube section just in case, but have never seen it there before). I'll probably toss that in the lowball, so you'll be quite happy I'm sure.

Otherwise most of the deals I was here for on Amazon were on stuff I already owned, so I mostly sat this one out. There will be plenty of good holiday deals I'm sure. :D

I have multiple things on his TL and could part with pretty much any of them except Devil Summoner. I guess we'll see who can make the better offer :)

funny you mention devil summoner... had I not been a tard and traded my extra copy away for 2 360 games that I have not even opened yet... it would be a done deal.

much like you I have a tough time fathoming getting rid of that... especially since my SMT collection is 100% complete (well except for the Nocturne Guide)
 
Devil Summoner was actually my first SMT game. I was attracted by the prospect of a game with Rasputin as the main villain. I could totally kick my own ass because there was one time I was in my closest Meijer and they had like twelve sealed copies for $20 each. Had no idea it had suddenly become rare back then and by the time I found out and went back they were all gone.

The only SMT game I still need is Revelations: Persona. Odds are I'll probably NEVER lay my hands on a copy unless it comes up in someone's lowball. Well, super-technically, I also need Jack Bros. and DemiKids. But the former is far more of a bitch to find or afford than even Persona 1 and the latter I just never felt like buying.
