CAG Call of Duty 4 Night [Wednesday, 8pm EST]

I was on last nite but no one else was. Mana, I had you as a friend but now you're not there anymore and you have too many people on your list it says.

I got out of work around ten last night and my nephew was staying the night and we usually play warhawk when he stays because it allows for more than one person to play online when compared to COD4.

My internet sucked ass all weekend so I was out. I'm hoping to hop on some tonight but sleep deprivation is catching up to me. Having a sick one-year old is tiring. :lol:

Uggh. I was just playing COD a little bit ago and Jesus fucking Christ, I am so sick of these ghetto gangsta dumbasses that play these games. This guy was on our team, trash talking everyone. I couldn't understand a single fuckin word the guy was saying. I mean please, at least try to speak coherent English. Then he kept repeating " I get money, I get money, I get money" like a fuckin retard. The guy was dead last with only like 4 kills, so I was like "too bad you can't get any kills". He called me a white bitch and started repeating some more rap bullshit. God. Everyone was telling him to shut the fuck up but he kept on. I wish there was a way to mute these assholes or ban them or something. :bomb:

Sorry for the rant but that guy was super annoying. It's really hard to enjoy the game when you have to be in games with people like that guy.
 
Well, if we play this weekend, I'm thinking about just forming a party. The next weekend I will try a private match (since I'll be back at home). I haven't decided yet whether I'll lead the party of make someone else do it.
 
On the infinityward forums they said it was send to sony for certification yesterday, so it could still take up to a few weeks to become available. Here's hoping it's just a few days.

Hey Guys --

Well I'm back from GDC, sorry for the lack of direct updates from me last week as my internet access was limited while in San Francisco. I did want to let you guys know however that the PS3 Feature Patch for Worldwide users (except for Japan and Korea) is starting it's certification process.

It finished up internal QA at Activision today and is making it's way to Sony so I probably won't make the official "Hooray we're in cert on PS3" post till tomorrow but I wanted to let you guys know that it's on it's way there. The great news is that both the US and Worldwide versions of the patch are going to cert at the same time so no one should be left waiting while the others are going through cert.

This patch includes all the new features we've talked about such as Quick Mute, Additional Kill Cams, Recently Met Players, Sniper Rifle Improvement, Acog Scope Improvement, more Spawn Points, general connectivity optimization, etc.

Although I canceled the main CoD4 night this week, I still plan to play. Part of the reason is I was a bit late to set this up due to my crazy week and stuff. Next week I WILL get it straight.

I picked CoD4 up on Friday, beat the campaign today and I've played online for about 2 hours today. It's pretty fun. I'm not that great at it. But it's pretty fun.

Is the thing where you throw a grenade right before you die a glitch or something? I sneak up behind people and stab them but they always seem to get a grenade off in time to kill me. It's beginning to piss me off.

Its actually a perk. When you die you drop a grenade, you'll unlock it once you play more. I hate that perk it is just stupid. COD4 aims to be realistic but yet i don't think soldiers drop a grenade when they get stabbed .

Ugh that's actually a stupid perk... But I want this perk now. What level do you get it at? I'm at like 6 or 7.
 
You guys are referring to martyrdom. I think it's in slot 3. Check it and it'll tell you when it's unlocked. I hate it but it's part of the game. You just have to watch out for dropped grenades when running past a dead body. I only use it on Shipment because you'd be stupid not to. Otherwise, I prefer extreme conditioning since I play Domination all the time and k/d doesn't matter.

I recently stopped using it. I switched over to Deep Penatration. I hate dying from those stupid grenades.
 
I never figured out that perk in CoD4. I still need to play single player (I have NO time right now to even touch it), but I'm on level 14 (or was it 15) right now.

Single player was amazing. My jaw dropped to the floor several times. I also had to change my underwear. It was really good. It wasn't too long or short and it was packed full of action.
 
On 3/8 (not sure what time), I will hold either a private match or form a party for CAG.

Last night, I gave CoD4 nights some thought, and I decided I will handle them very differently after this week.

Since CoD4 is heavily based around your buddy list (when playing people you know, and oh course I cannot add everyone), I'm thinking of just having several CAG get together, where if some of want to play online one day (such as forming a party or private game), let me know and I'll post it in this thread (as to who is forming the party), so everyone on your buddy list can jump in (or if people want to play more CoD4, they can look into adding you as a friend). I'll still hold matches for the CAG members on my buddy list (and their friends), but I feel this will be the best way to handle CAG matches:

What I will do is put up a weekly schedule, and under the date, I will list the CAG user (either his CAG name or PSN name, probably PSN name) running a party. Beside it, I'll have the date at time.

As an example (this is not real oh course):

9/4
ManaKnight @m 9pm EST

9/5
StrandedBrit @ 8pm EST
 
this happens naturally whenever you log on, you see whose on ur friends list.

i personally play with buddha, m1garand, and uwontwin all the time.

those that are active should post in this thread so people who want in can know who still plays and can add them.
 
I still think it'd be nice to have a day we can all get together and have some fun in a private match. Just cag vs cag fun. I guess it seems people aren't up for that too much.

I know some get left out because they can't receive an invite. That's why I wish CoD4 either:
-Listed all servers or games like Warhawk
-Used the XMB to send invites, where you can invited buddies and non-buddies.
 
are there any cags who play this on a regular basis? I'm started to get into the mp mode. I like domination/tdm the most.

I've been crazy busy at work lately so I haven't played much, but that's dying down now, so I'll have more time. I was a daily Domination player, though.

Yeah the invites system sucks. I tried to join once and it said could not connect.
 
I just added js1, naes, and torifile. I already have strandedbrit and definedbyclass13 on the list. I think there's a few others like shizim who play regularly. Does everyone here use/have a headset?
 
I try to play at least 3 or four matches a day to keep the rust off..I play Hardcore S&D pretty much exclusively, will branch out into Team Tactical once in a while..Add me if you play Hardcore...

i have the headset but dont use it often cz there is alwasy some kid screaming on it. I will use it for search and destroy mostly.

I usually play S&D but will play a few games of headquarters to get my gun upgrades here and there.

Anyone want to add me feel free. I usually play around 6pm est for a few hrs. and maybe sat or sun mornings.
 
I don't use a headset. I want to be able to blast the volume way up without having to hear people burp, scream, or say "fudge" every time they die. Here's me hoping for that patch to be released soon.
 
well if you wanted to mute everyone couldn't you just set the voice volume to the lowest setting? I think in a private game it'd be nice for teamwork and such.
