CAG Call of Duty 4 Night [Wednesday, 8pm EST]

i play most nights for a couple of hours, usually between 9:30 and 11:30 est.

typically play headquarters, domination, search & destroy and occasionally hard core team death match.

I put you on the schedule as playing tonight. You know what time, since I'm going to put it in the OP.

My plan is to update the thread each day there will be a game, and I'll put on the schedule of who wants to host a private game and/or party, at what time. On the title, I'll say schedule updated on whatever day.

Unfortunately, that doesn't quite work the way I hoped. I can still hear anyone pretty well, even with the voice volume at the lowest setting.

Lame, i'll still be in class at that time. I won't be able to play until about 8 or 9 PST. Well, i'll see who's on.

Just to throw this out there, i've only been playing COD4 for about a week and half, so i'm still pretty new to it (to gaming in general as well), but i'm getting pretty good at it. I do it for fun. I usually do TDM, but i'm down for whatever you guys are playing. I just hate the martyrdom perk haha.
 
naes and I joined you one time, but we just sat in the lobby for like 5 mins before we backed out and started another game.

naes, I forgot what you usually play so I just did TD. Hope that was OK.
 
That was a fun day of CAG CoD4 for me. Thanks everyone for playing.

I just wish we could get 18 CAGs together and play a Free For All on Shipment. Because the thing I'm good at in CoD4 is FFA on a small to medium sized level :D

And those team deathmatches may be bringing my wins up a bit (I on like 5 FFAs) but my Kills to Death ratio is going to hell. Ah well
 
yeah sorry I had to go downstairs for a second. It ended up taking longer than I expected but afterwards I got into a game but couldn't see you or naes in it. Then server was full on another : /
 
Sorry, I couldn't join in because I'm stressed again with tons of work. Hopefully I'll be able to free some time on the weekend, but I'll still be busy (gotta finish project, sell/ship video games, and change my PS3 HDD during my one week off).
 
Yeah it's hit and miss. If you really want to get a party going you need to set a time. Or before you start the game send the people on your list playing a message saying invite me, then wait in the lobby for an invite (which could take several minutes).
 
if you send an invite then search for a match does the other person get stuck in a lobby? I don't remember sitting in a lobby when I was playing w/ shizim... : /

Although if people rather play Warhawk on Saturday evening and CoD4 on Friday, I'd start a party on Friday night and just switch the days. I personally don't care.
 
There was NOBODY on last night... Never seen a totally empty list with all the CAG's that I have added. I will be on tonight at a friend's place. StrandedBrit, if you get a friend invite from a Pi Kappa or something (some frat my buddy went to) accept it and we will join you.

how does cod4 cag night work? The party invite system seems fairly slow, and you have to be on a friend list of someone for it to work, no?
 
Pretty much, but most people who play often have several fellow cagers on their friends list, so once a few people are in the party then they can invite people in as well.
 
I see, so is it usually a private match or just join a random pub one? Also, the first person who starts the party is the host I take it then?
 
Yeah 1st is host. I've always thought it'd be nice to have CAG private matches, but we'd need a bunch of people and everyone seems to login at different times. Most of the time it's public matches.
 
Hone - We play whatever the party at the time is cool with.

I'll be playing COD4 and Burnout tonight so I'll look out for you guys. I may join in that Warhawk game too. I dunno. Well see how it goes.
 
I usually try to accomodate, but the problem is unless the person has a mic I haven't figured out a way to talk to them in game. Like on the pc you could type or something. IT seems everything has to be preset or done before hand. Plus no in game chatting yet through xmb.
 
I haven't had time to play lately. I've been swamped with schoolwork.

The last few times I played I did really, really bad. My kill ratio went from .85 to .84 the other night.

I'm down. I am suprised by how much I like CoD4. I've been playing it for hours every day.

Jest, I will be doing Spring cleaning on my buddy list soon, so you will probably get a friend request soon (and you'll be able to easily play CoD4 with us).

Anyway, last night CoD4 was a pretty good success. I'm glad that it seemed like everyone had fun (like how Warhawk nights go). Playing free for all on that tiny map was insane. Thank you all for showing up and we will have another game next Saturday. However, if someone wants me to host a game any time of the week (except Thursday), I can do it since I'm on Spring Break.
 
yeah, I'm sad I missed it since I just got cod4 last weekend and haven been playing it throughout the week, but some friends came over unexpectedly. At least I got to catch a few rounds of the 2nd CAG Warhawk night.
 
I think that last night was one of the better COD4 noghts we have had. I thought it was a lot more fun doing private matches as apposed to the public ones. We got a heck of a lot more playtime in than normal. I hate when a lobby closes and we have to reinvite everyone, that is crap! If anyone wants to add me to friends list, go ahead. I pretty much make all of the matches, except last weekend got trashed at the bar for a friends birthday and ended up staying longer than planned.
 
Last night's game was good. I usually (okay, I only) play MTDM, so it was good playing other modes such as s&d or free for all. Hope to see you guys on next week.

We've only played together once, but don't delete me! I'll have a ton of free time after this week is over (starting March 18)!
