CAG contest is over....Congrats to Super_Nerd!

Right now my fave is some tie between The Witcher on PC and Fallout 3 any version... Sank so much time into those two titles its unreal. Of corse i love the generic FF game ect ect and tons of NES games and so on and so forth :p
 
Phantasy Star (Sega Master System), my first and favorite RPG. I loved the characters (Odin, Myu, Noah ect.), vehicles and 3-D dungeons. For its time, it was a revolutionary game.
 
Mario Brothers for NES. It was the first game I ever played when I got the NES for Christmas that year, I was 8 years old and you know how it is to get your first console as a kid! Plus, Mario is the greatest series of all time!
 
My favorite game (they tend to fluxuate from time to time) would have to be Xenogears for PlayStation. It had such an intricate plot, great developed characters, and had a fun battle system to top it all off.

Though Final Fantasy VI (SNES), Castlevania Symphony of the Night (PS1), and Sam and Max Hit the Road (PC) are all high up there.
 
Its hard to choose just one. I guess I would have to go with Super Mario 64. This game is great regardless of how much time you have, you can play for just a few minutes and feel like you did something or you can play for hours. It has alot of variety so the game stays fun.

My favorite game would have to be The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. I love all Zelda games but I grew up playing this one and have many fond memories of playing it with my brother's help. He stupidly sold his N64 but I still have it on that gamecube promotional disk which is never leaving my possession :D
 
My favorite game of all time would probably have to be Metal Gear Solid 3. It's one of the few games in my life that I've played more than once. I'm just such a huge fan of MGS and games with awesome stories.
 
Hm, too tough to consider all games, so I'll stick with this gen.

Favorite game: Street Fighter IV

I'm a fighting game fan at heart, and this has seemed to somewhat revitalize the fighting-game genre, and I couldn't be happier for that. SFIV is just a freakin' awesome game too.
 
Super Mario Bros 3 is my pick.

This game is timeless and I recently just picked it back up on a whim. Me and my wife have played it over and over with friends, just sitting back enjoying drinks and snack and bringing back old memories of all the "secrets" hidden in the game. This game just reminds me of my childhood and its one of the few games me and my wife can sit down and play together, so for those reasons its my favorite of all time.
 
I gotta go :gc:Sands of Time. That game was just pure platforming fun. There are so many other games I could list like :gc:Metroid Prime, :n64:Ocarina of Time, :snes:Link to the Past, :ds:Canvas Curse, :gba:Sonic Advance, :gc:/:wii:RE4, :snes:Super Mario World the list of great games goes on and one and picking a favorite from even this small sampling is hard not to mention the games I haven't played that I expect to love :)ps3:Batman:AA, :snes:Super Metroid, :ps3:Resistance, :gba:Spyro: Eternal Night, :wii:Zack and Wiki etc)

Lately I've just been thinking about and remembering Sand of Time. I played the entire game start to finish and I enjoyed it. Oddly enough even though I read you play the last level without your sword I still didn't realize it was happening until i got to the final boss. Sure the 'boss' wasn't a challenge but like PA said the real boss is doing that last level and it was immensely satisfying.

Put me down for the PSN card. I love Subway and I really need to get some SingStar songs.
 
My favorite game was Knights of the Old Republic (The first one) from the last generation of consoles.

I liked it mostly because of the epic story about Darth Revan and his redemtion and the choices you had to make.
 
I really liked Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core. Great cinematics, awesome gameplay, and a solid story line. If I win could I get the PSN card?
 
My favorite game is "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2"!! I like this game because it had a great movie like storyline. It has tons of re-play value like online multiplayer and special ops!! The graphics are great and it is made by one of the greatest developers(Infinity Ward)! This game is worth every penny and is really fun to play when ever you get time in a day! I think everybody should at least try and play this game!! :)
 
Final Fantasy Tactics

Why: The game that made me a gamer. The story of Ramza and his exploits was just amazing and the concept of how you change to a different job class is mesmerizing. I'm not talking abour Final Fantasy Tactics advanced, those games are crap, i'm only talking about the FIRST FFT, the ps1 game that was released around the time FF7 was released
 
Bubble Bobble on the NES was probably my favorite game because of the generation gap is closed when it came to games. Just about everyone played it in my household when i was a kid - brother, sister, mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, cousins...we all played it and could go through the entire game without dying once, which is quite the achievement if you have played through the game.
 
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves for the PS3 as my overall favorite gaming experience because of the visuals, gameplay, sound, story, and a solid multiplayer.
 
Super Mario Bros. 3.

Although the first Super Mario Bros. was my first video game, and I loved every minute of it, it was really SMB3 that floored me with what seemed like a wide variety of stuff to play with, and all of the different themed worlds. Plus it was more difficult for me than SMB1, so the feeling lasted longer and when I finally did get to world 8 (without using warp pipes, because I wanted to see every world for myself) it was very satisfying to finish off Bowser.

It was a great part of my childhood.
 
Favorite game has to be Super Mario Galaxy. That game did just about everything right. Gorgeous graphics, amazing soundtrack (I continue to hum music from this game to this day), perfect gameplay, amazing level design, etc. That game continues to be the benchmark of platformers IMO.
 
Starflight, from the early days of PC gaming. It was ridiculously open ended, great gameplay, and tons of exploration - all on a 5 1/4 disk!
 
Fallout 2 for PC.
I loved the first Fallout to death, and played it over and over and over again. In comparison to the depth and scope of Fallout 2, however, Fallout 1 was like a demo. It had moral choices that mattered, damnit, before other games were doing it on a regular basis. It may not have aged gracefully in terms of graphics, but the mechanics were solid, and the atmosphere was pervasive.
 
Mass Effect 2
The first was my favorite until the second game along and blew it out of the water in nearly every way. The story, characters and universe that Bioware has created is just so rich.
 
I'd have to say my favorite would be:

Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy

on the original Xbox. That game had some great physics-based gameplay and cool unlockables.
 
Favorite for me is Uncharted (the first one) for PS3. It's one of the best combination of platforming, adventure, and third-person shooter I've ever played, along with some great production values that push the PS3 hardware.
 
I gotta give it up for Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. This was probably the first real shooter that I played and I feel really nostalgic whenever I think about it.
 
My favorite game would be Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney on the DS. I just love the character designs and the ludicrously juicy story.
 
Super Mario for Famicom. It was pretty much the first console game that I played and got me into gaming. Still could not forget the time that my father revealed the console to us, it was very different than unboxing the PS2, PS3 and the others.
 
Rock Band, multi-platform (though I think the DLC is best integrated on the Xbox 360).

It really gave me a much better appreciation (as a non-musician) for how the music I love is played. Used to be I could hardly hear a bass guitar on any song, now it's always registering for me. Also, they eventually put out every song I ever requested (Kryptonite, Bat Country, and anything by Queen [10 song pack!!]). The only thing that could make it better is if it dispensed peanut butter and porn sandwiches.
 
Final Fantasy III/VI is my favorite game. It's the game that got me into RPGs, and got me completely addicted to video gaming. I was just a little kid back then, and can remember spending hours wandering around the world map and cities trying to figure out what to do next and how to beat various bosses. I buy that game every time it comes out for a system I have.
 
Counter-Strike. I don't believe I've played any game as much as this one. Even though I don't play it today, the fact that I can easily open it up and see a whole bunch of people still playing it shows how great the game is.
 
My favorite game is GTA4 because it is huge. I've played it more than 200 hours and I'm about 75% done. I can't wait to get 100% done then I will play online for a long time. It has a few minor problems but the rest is fantastic. :applause:
 
Psychonauts

The combination of characters, story, FANTASTIC art direction, and interesting stages and gameplay make this my favorite game of all time. It also does many thing interesting narrative wise, most notably the use of Clairvoyance to see how other characters saw Raz and the "hidden" area in Milla's Dance Party that most people end up missing. It's a shame the PS2 version destroyed this beautiful game, but the Xbox and PC version are readily available over different online services and is definitely worth every gamer's time.
 
Pigskin. It is an old Viking-brawl-football arcade standup that I always have to play when I come across it. Nothing extraordinary or plot, but neverending random fun.
 
If I have to pick one game it's The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for SNES. It's the one game that no matter how old it is it's still infinitely re-playable. I go back and play this game completely through every couple of years and have been doing this for over 10 years. There's no other game that can re-capture my interest immediately like A Link to the Past can.
 
Singstar! How many games let you sing queen and tons of other songs while drunk in the comfort of you own home and watch the music videos? I have found so many bands and artists that I never knew before that I now listen to all the time. It's the perfect game for people really enjoy a wide variety of music.

And making videos with the eye toy is sweet.
 
Final Fantasy IV for Super NES / Game Boy Advance / Nintendo DS

It has one of the best, solid stories of the series, a great construct of relationships between characters and I can play it again and again without boredom.
 
Burgertime (any system)

I don't know why, but I have always loved this game. I think that I like it because of how stupid the concept is. I am actually looking for a Burgertime arcade machine to add to my collection (since I just sold a pinball machine and a few arcade machines.)
 
Dragon Force (Saturn)

I chose this game because it's very addicting and can be played through quite a few times. Strategy, big armies lots of supporting characters and generals what more could you want. Unfortunately I never did own a memory card for the Saturn when I got it years ago, but that didnt stop me from starting over or just leaving it on to pick up and play later on. While I dont have my Saturn anymore I still have this game :D.
 
Current gen, would have to say Valkyria Chronicles. It's an awesome take on old school strategy games like FFT or Tactics Ogre. Plus the story is just amazing!
