Congratulations to the entire CAG community as we beat our goal of $40,000, raising a whopping $42,810! Thanks to all who participated including our great corporate sponsors Play-Asia, Telltale Games (Tales of Monkey Island), Capcom (Dark Void), and Blueberry Muffin Tops Cereal.

In 2008, CAGs raised over $32,000 (up from $27K in 2007) for Penny Arcade's Child's Play charity. This year, let's see if we can hit $40,000 before the year is through.

For every $5 donated via PayPal through the CAG ChipIn system, you will receive one entry into a raffle to win a $500 Amazon Gift Certificate or other great prizes! Last year, the CAG Community donated some really cool and generous prizes and I'm sure the tradition will continue this year. I expect the prize list to grow and grow until the very end of the fundraiser.

You must donate through the ChipIn system or your raffle entry will not register. Use any of the ChipIn links in this post or the widget below. Just click the "ChipIn" button to donate. Donations are accepted via PayPal and go directly to Child's Play. ChipIn tracks our donations as a group, but the money is immediately deposited into Child's Play's PayPal account.

You had to be signed in to PayPal? So if I clicked on the ChipIn link and just donated without signing in to PayPal does that mean that I never got entered into the contest?
 
No. Some people had to log into paypal if they were using that to donate. If you donated and provided an email address you're entered.
 
FYI everyone, I'm pretty sure only the big ticket items that cheap had were emails. The smaller items from member of CAG haven't had winners announced for them. If I recall cheap posts the lists and leaves it up to the winner/donater to work out the details.

everyone who donated through the chip-in system got entered. Cheapy said he gets a list from the donators from Childs Play regardless of what method you used to donate.

Exactly.
I got an email, but I don't know what I won yet. Had to provide Cheapy with my CAG name, as my email is different here than the one linked to paypal.
 
Cheapy is working through the list of winners and trying to get everything sorted out. Trust me on this.

I don't think it will take much longer to get it all sorted out.

Contact the prize giver using private messaging system. They might not have seen winners yet.

To everyone that donated you are all winners even if you didn't get a prize. Giving is it own reward. And if you are still in a giving mood the people of Hatii could use some help.

I won one of the prizes. Cool! And I was already contacted by the donor, Quest1962.

And I actually won something that I can, a 12+1 Xbox Live subscription. I'm already covered until February 2012, so now I'm going to be good until March 2013. :D (I hope they let me extend my subscription until then)

Note to self for future prize offerings with quantity of greater than 3, when sourcing the items from Amazon.

Apparently, the Xbox Live 1600 points card via electronic delivery is sold out. So, yes, Amazon is sold out of a virtual item. :whistle2:s

Ordering the physical cards for shipment (thank you Amazon Prime) worked, up until the point I needed to order the fourth card. As I find out, Amazon limits you to three 1600 points cards per account, permanently. Not per day, per week, per month, per year, per account. Period.

So, as I call them to try and work past this issue, they instructed me to make a new account with a new email address, so I could buy the three other cards. :whistle2:s

In the future, if you plan to offer more than three copies of a prize and plan to order it from Amazon, check with them in advance and make sure you can order more than three of them.

As an aside, aclayton and Whitefeet, I'll be PMing you shortly to ask for you shipping information for the cards, if you don't PM me in the meantime.
