CAG GTAIV Night: Same Bat-Time, Same Bat-Channel[ 9/2 @ 10pm EST ]

I bet Triple X is going to be there at GTAIV night tonight kicking all sorts of butt after what happened during the college basketball game between our two schools yesterday. ;)

My internet has been spotty lately too. I keep getting the 'the connection to one or more players has been lost' thing. Then, when trying to rejoin the same game, I'm told I was kicked from the game.:roll:

Yet, at the same time, I can host my own Free Mode game for 2-3 hours at a clip and I have NO problems.

It's only when I play multi against others.

Ok, thats fair enough...i was hoping you was being sarcastic about the breaking up with her thing. But you never know do you lol :).

But come on its only a 360...she could have bought something alot worse.

Why do I get the feeling that 'something alot worse' equates to a Wii? :roll: I just don't get the reactions of people over someone's choice of one system over another.

If it weren't for the failure rate, I would be gaming on a 360 right now and enjoying custom soundtracks in my GTA game, instead of listening to the same(mostly garbage) soundtrack from off of the game disc.

But unfortunately, that fact was a deciding factor in my decision to get a PS3.

Of course, looking back now, I should've just kept the $400+ I made from my old games and waited until the system and games got cheaper.

I don't think that's your connection... People probably kick you out because you keep landing copters on them and never stop singing.:cool:

Developers on 360 don't do a thing to support custom music, the OS automatically does it) The developers SHOULD have implemented it along with the trophy patch, but didn't.

I apologize for posting again in your thread, but just wanted to have that pointed out to Cheapest Gamer if he never heard.

That might be true, since if I'm not using a copter I'm using a car and controlling it in such a way that I stay 2-3 feet away from their blasts from their gun while I'm able to pop them with shot after shot.

Of course, it's so much more fun to just run people over, then back over them a couple times till they're dead. :lol:

But the chopper thing works too....very well I might add. :lol:

Oh and for the record TMK, I wish they would've implemented the in game custom soundtrack thing moreso than the trophy thing, since I have zero use for trophies. They're such an utter waste of time, if you ask me.
 
Rockets are a major pain in the ass still, imo. I remember when the people I normally play against allowed either ALL weapons or POWERFUL ones. Every shmoe that could found an RPG and kept whoring those rockets throughout the game, which made it nigh impossible for me to run them down in a car.

I know, I'm a hypocrite, since I use the same tactic over n over(car kills). So, I'll just stop now....

Tonight was definitely more helicopter-intensive than usual... good times. The airport round that started as a helicopter battle was hilarious (even if not everyone understood what was happening)... I can't believe you guys instantly ripped the tail off our chopper as we took off. :hot:

Sorry about not inviting you back, Cheapest, but we were in the middle of the Cannonball at that point and I wasn't sure you wanted to show up just to watch.
 
ggs guys. I enjoyed the helicopter based rounds. Sorry for not feeling it when it was cannonball run, I just don't enjoy that mode for some reason. Look forward to next week. And TMK, where were you?! You disappointed me.

A 360 is a very good console. Thats enough of that, lets not spoil the thread now :)
 
The helicopters were surprisingly fun. We should load up squads into the chopper with machines guns and stuff, so we can actually shoot eachother down.

I was in a big truck knocking boxes around trying to run someone over and someone on my team came flying out of nowhere in an annhilator and crushed my target right as I was running them over. That was a rather violent death sandwich if I have ever seen one.
More deathmatches please, never blips near or off. Since i am the only one without a headset just quick message me FIGHT, if you plan on dogfighting in choppers for 10 minutes during a race. I made some tacos while I was waiting so it was all good.

If/when I move my PS3 downstairs to be closer to my internet connection, I'll be able to bring it up on YouTube via my computer and just blast that, instead of me trying to sing offkey and annoying everybody. :lol:

By the way, I know I'm not the only one who misses the rockets on the attack choppers, right? It's a shame they took them out this time around, since I'd probably risk the 4-5 star wanted level to grab one from the airport in the normal game, just to go around blowing crap up with it.

The one night in Vice City, I easily spent 6 hours doing Vigilante missions with the chopper because it was so easy/fun after a while to just annihilate the criminals with it.

Of course, the easiest place to get done with the Vigilante mode was the airport in VC since the criminals kept spawning for the next level almost in the same spot as the prior level.

No, we couldn't hear that over the rest of the noises you were making. And the cellphone. ;)
 
Was that someone's cell phone? I remember some ridiculously loud song came on at one point, but luckily I think that person ended up on the other team.

I'll download some Avril Lavigne songs for next week so I can blast them and blame it on Cheapest.

What do the noises sound like with the voice changer on? Oh and for the record, I must be the ONLY person in the world without a cell phone.

About the only time I really want one is when/if my car decides to take a crap on me and won't start, since finding a pay phone is nigh impossible anymore.
