CAG GTAIV Night: Same Bat-Time, Same Bat-Channel[ 9/2 @ 10pm EST ]

Looks like they went through with SB's OP change request.

Since I now have control, does anyone want to see any changes with the way things are going right now?

Can't make it tonight, at least not until way later. If people want to get a quick game going on Wednesday, I'd be up for that. I've been in a racing mood lately.
 
updated the title since its pretty regular what days we're on. Would anyone like to change start times? I know there's usually only a handful that show up early on, and am not sure how many west-coasters are on later. Just looking for some opinions to keep things fresh around here. . .

Edit: Do people still like the flexibility of two days? Would you rather just go to one day and hopefully have more people show up to play together?
 
Me, anytime I'm on it's after 10pm EST. Half of the time no one that is on my list is even playing. Maybe I need to add more people from the west coast to my friends list.
 
Anyone playing tonight? We're doing to do some co-op until more people get online.

Edit: I tried to accept your invites, but then it said the game no longer exists. I'm probably going to play CoD for a while since nobody was showing up anyway. Le's try again on Tuesday, or whenever.

When you left it just "froze" the game for everyone.
The game didn't bother to assign a new host, so I was stuck at the "Next Game" screen and I think Super was stuck at the score screen or something.:lol:

Yeah luckily it finally unfroze, so I didn't have to reset my system.
 
Crap, today was tuesday. I lose all track of days now since I work 7 a week. I'm thinking we might cut down to just one night on Sundays, but I'll give Tuesdays another week or two.
 
No, leave it two days please. Plus, who do I have to add to get in on the GTA4 action? who is there every night?
 
I added most of the names from the first post, though two of them were already maxed out. I'm still playing the single-player game, so I haven't been online very much. But, if you see me playing, just send me an invite and I'll join in as soon as I complete the current task I'm on.

I'm on the east coast by the way.
 
I'm up for playing this Sunday at the usual time. Anyone else? The last two scheduled nights didn't happen, but it was also MGS4 release week.

I think the biggest problem GTA has with multiplayer is it isn't very smooth. Thats my problem with a lot of multiplayer games actually. It's like a ride at an amusement park, too much waiting for the game to start, then once it does, it's over way to quickly.

There needs to be more and bigger coop missions.
 
It seems like it. I was on and saw a few others online. But I never received an invite and wasn't even sure who was going to host.
 
Yea, I'm not sure if anyone has gotten together the past couple weeks. Seems like nearly all the GTA hype has passed with the coming of MGS4. If I were ever home at these times, I'd hop on and try to get a game going, but with it being summer I'm usually out at night.
 
I ended up missing most of the actual CAG nights, not due to lack of interest just a lot of shit going on that had to be taken care of. I am open a lot more nights now. Regardless of the night, If anybody sees me on and wants to get a game going shoot me an invite. Hopefully when we get the mythical in game XMB it will be a lot easier for people to get together and play games on PS3...
 
So... any interest in playing at the usual time Tuesday? I was doing a no alerts MGS4 game and was getting frustrated, so now I just want to blow stuff up. :twoguns:
 
I think I hopped on just as you guys were wrapping it up tonight...a bunch of people were listed as playing in my XMB but you were all gone by the time my game loaded up.
 
You didn't miss anything. I just sort of sat on the game setup screen for a while because only one person on my list was on, so I tried to jump into a few public games but it kept saying the room no longer existed. Then I got fed up with getting kicked back into single player every time that happened so I put in CoD. :bomb:

I'm still up for playing this if we can get people together, but it's getting frustrating.
 
Well, from Metalys experience it seems the 1.02 patch didnt help. I would probably still be playing the MP if it actually worked...

9 Central is right when I put my kids down for the night, but will try to be on shortly there after. Just got my PS3 with the MGS4 release and have been playing GTAIV online mostly for a week or two.

Would like to get it going with some CAGers.

So last night's game turned out to be just a rumor after all. Having the forum in maintenance mode for most of the day probably didn't help out. I'll try to organize another game for Sunday. In-game messaging should make things a little easier to coordinate.
 
I'll definitely be online; whether or not there's a game depends on everyone else. :) I'll start up a game at 9E/6P and invite anyone I see playing, as long as it's more than one or two people.

If other nights would be better for people, just post when. I'd love to get this going weekly again.
