I'll probably join on in the future, but since I don't have a way to communicate in PS3 games (no mic/keyboard) I'm going to hold off for a while. But I'll keep GTAIV night in mind.
I should be good to roll if those hosers at Cablevision come by and fix my interwebs. D:
Goddamn I hate Cablevision. They're installing FIOS lines in my apartment complex this week and I can't freakin' wait to switch over.
Remember! There is GTA night tonight. There wasn't any GTA last night.
What!?
No wonder I never got an invite.

I have a mic(what a waste of $20 worth of cheap GS credit I got from flipping) and I never really use it. I only use it to listen in on other people on my team strategizing, but I rarely if ever talk myself.

I really should try and use it for its intended purpose ONE of these nights.

About the only real use I get out of it is sitting there messing with the voice changer and laughing at how silly my voice sounds with it on.

Otherwise, as I said, I never talk with my mic during a game.

As of now, it would seem that due to this shittastic storm that rolled through last night I'm not going to be seeing my gf tonight, so I MAY make it to GTA night for once in a long while.

Don't quote me on it though.

Having a mic is half the fun though, so I recommend it. Also be aware that if you don't have one, the rest of us are making fun of you the entire night and you can't hear it. Last week when we paused on the options screen for a while it was because xxx was in the middle of telling a really long joke about how kube smells weird.

It's tonight? I thought it was tomorrow night!

Not sure if I can make it because I have to hang out with CheapestGamer's girlfriend.

Oh man, don't antagonize him any further!!! :hot:

That's quite alright since it's over a two hour drive from where he's at to where I'm at and then he'd have to find her place and I'm not telling. :D

It doesn't take that long when you just meet halfway.
You guys gotta have a Truck race tonight.

Live U-Haul police chase in LA
This is one of the things I miss about living in LA. You can count on watching a police chase at least twice a week on the local news. Sometimes regular programming is interrupted just to broadcast these chases.
They put down spike strips! It's just like GTA!
The best chase I ever watched had to be the one where the guy had that tank and he was going through all these neighborhoods and running over cars and just menacing everyone and everything.

Unfortunately, that was the one where the guy got the tank stuck on the divider wall of a highway at the end of the chase and they shot him dead inside the tank.

Hahaha... My whole office was watching this for like the last 40 minutes. We were pretty disappointed when there was nothing in the truck. Good stuff though.
Run, bitch RUN! I loled when she tried using the pedestrian car as a shield (or was it to carjack?) and it just pulled forward out of the way.
I laugh when people try using cars strewn about in the streets in a GTA match as cover, especially when I'm driving a bus or flying a chopper at them.

I just hit the gas even more and roll right over them then.

Quite a few people tried that last night in some TDM games I played.
We were pretty disappointed when there was nothing in the truck.
I know, huh!?
You'd think from this real long and dangerous chase that there'd be something she was trying to hide from the cops in there.

Now the popular theory is she was on meth or something.

Or the 50 illegal immigrants all jumped out and escaped while the camera was busy filming the takedown.

Good turnout, at least 12 unique CAGs that night. My highlight from tonight was the Biff race (should of been Race, not GTA Race), the Cops 'n Crooks games just revigorated my hatred for the game's shooting mechanic.
Race? I thought it was a high speed chase . . .

Man... Driving up onto that ramp still with a slight lead, looking back and then realizing what I could--no, had to do... then watching that sea of Biffs just pile up... It really felt like I had achieved my purpose in life. That must have been how Moses felt as he parted the Red Sea, although this was the opposite. And with dump trucks.

Or something like that.

And yes, great games, everyone. Glad to see such a good turnout, too. Didn't quite make it to 6v6 C&C but there were some epic chases, like when it looked like freaky was about to gun down the few remaining crooks from the pier, but then ohvermie and his now-infamous rocket launcher appeared. :bomb:

That 4 team 2-person rockets match was nuts. So many explosions! I never saw GTAIV chug like that before (poor PS3 doing all that math). Would like to see a multi-team sniper match go down. Can you do leader blips with teams?

The one match where 3 of us crooks got away from 5 cops with the choppa was pretty epic. I failed pretty bad at the rocket death matches, I think I killed myself more than other players did. lol :p

I don't think I've ever seen a match where the getaway vehicle was the helicopter...it always seems like it's a boat. How did you guys pull that off?

I apologize to my team of coppers for driving into the stream and destroying our ride, for some reason I thought the car could go over it. Stream was deeper than I thought it was.

The games we did after the majority left last night were pretty fun, like the sniper deathmatch on one of the islands and the RPG DM on Happiness Island.

Although, I'm surprised I didn't try and swim off to get a chopper from the helitours in southern Algonquin during the RPG DM.

All in all, the matches were decent last night, though trying my usual tactic of running people over in a car doesn't work too well when you have 5-6 people firing RPG's at you.

One of these days we should do a free mode game with friendly fire OFF and see how much havoc we can all cause in LC, just for the hell of it.

I know that when I'm not playing against either any of you or any of my other PSN friends, I'm playing around in free mode(usually practicing landing on people with choppers lol).

Because we're special. :newbie:

If you don't care about cords and shit, you can probably pick up a wired USB logitech PS2 headset for like $20 new. I prefer those over the BT ones simply because it has a mute button (although the PS3 specific BT headset has a mute button).
