I'll be home and online by around 11 p.m. if one of you all sees me pop online please invite me! Last week I lost my CAG GTA IV night virginity and I loved it...
Sorry I had to bail out early, guys. Just a few games into C&C, too.
Not sure what the deal is with the network issues lately. Seems like after the first (normal) race a few people's PS3s crashed? You guys didn't show back up on the roster at first, and then you signed off one after another... a similar thing happened last week.
I have no clue why some people's invites take so long to show up, either. Like xxx said, maybe it'll be fixed if they ever implement cross-game invites. Or maybe GTA5 will come out...
And yeah, I have to keep my friends list under 50, which sucks.

It all fell apart after you left... you're the glue that holds GTA together...
And... it's not like you're TMK and everyone wants to be your friend.
Sorry for bailing so early last night, got booted for some reason, and I had a raging sinus headache so I just called it a night. Didn't seem like I missed much.
I got a lost connection message too after one of the DMs. Pretty quickly I received another invite from metaly, but when I tired to join it said I had been booted. A second re-invite got me in, but I lost the connection again shortly thereafter. Moved on to RB2 after that.
Wait...there are people who want to be his friend? Please post a list of names so I can add them to my ignore list, as well.
Surely you've seen how he needs two PSN IDs just to hold all his PSN friends.

Too bad too, I was just starting to have fun!
I've been getting the lost connection one, which I've been calling the 'kicked glitch', since it says I was kicked when I try to rejoin a game.
However, the other night I got the 'connection to game session lost' message a couple of times and the one time I got a 8002A535 error and was kicked out of PSN as well.
After quitting the game and testing my connection, I got back into the game and PSN, only to get the 'connection to game session lost' message about another half hour later again, this time with no corresponding PSN kick.
Then, later that night(around 12-12:30) my dsl went completely down until the next morning sometime. I couldn't get ANYTHING to load on my pc or my PS3 on the web, so I went to bed and my dsl was just back the next morning.
It seems that the longer this game has been out, the more errors/glitches have been popping up.
Sick thing is, I can play by myself in a free mode game for an hour or longer and even invite friends into the game and that mode never seems to kick me. Now watch that I said that, I'll get the error or connection problem as soon as I try it today sometime.
Is there anyone else out there that kills people and then humiliates them by doing a reverse wheelie on their face? Also I rarely see people doing 360's on the bike. I did a 360 and landed on the wing of one of the planes on the runway a couple of times. Ive flipped over the wings numerous times which is fun too. I love to do stuff like that in freemode if I can't find a game in Dm, tdm, or turf wars with auto aim off. I play all the modes though, unlike most.
I like how we talk about so much in this thread. From blue penises to grammar to big ass-chains to other PS3 games to the xbox 360 and everything in between!
It's like Cheapest hired an editor.
I'd have to have MONEY to hire an editor. So, I take it tomorrow evening's game will last all of 10 seconds until everyone gets into the game lobby, then Metaly will say "April Fools, there's NO GTA game tonight"?
The way it is, I'm actually tempted to go back through the single player game(while ignoring the rest of my games I have, as usual)to try the other ending, though I STILL wish they had made the endings completely up to you
(since I personally would've pulled a 'silent guy from GTA 3' on Kate at the end of GTA 4, where he popped Maria as the end credits started to roll)
Tomorrow everyone should NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT show up for GTA night.
I haven't beat the game yet. So there are 2 endings?
I'm playing through the single player with auto aim off now and it is much more fun. Can't make the game tomarrow.
I still miss the SUNDAY night games we used to do, but from the turnout we've had in recent weeks it appears that the Wednesday games are far more popular.
Then again, any day of the week is good for me since I'm one of the millions unemployed in this economy. If not for driving on occasion for an auto dealer to auctions(all over NY and PA), I wouldn't be making ANY money whatsoever.
And yeah HuppSav, there's at least two endings, though I really wish they gave you the option to permanently annihilate ANYONE from the storyline that you so chose to eradicate.
I know I'd definitely take out some of my 'friends' and my dear cousin Roman. I spent about 20 minutes punching him last night in the game after inviting him to see 'big American titties' at the strip club.
Then, while he still trusted me somehow, I took him, me and the car we were in full throttle into a gas pump.
Way to spoil that shit for me IATCG! I'm not even 25% through the game! That's right, I read it before the spoiler tag was added.
Asshole.
I hope that you're trying to pull an April Fool's joke on me. Otherwise, I gotta ask how it is that you're just now getting through the single player mode, since I think you've been playing along with us in multi for almost the entire time that we've been having CAG night. If it's not a joke, then I do apologize.
I just still wish you could've popped every 'friend' you didn't want to have to be bothered with once their part in the storyline was done, since I really hated that shit moreso than the girlfriend thing in GTA San Andreas.
Oh and btw, contrary to what was reported in the past, you DO get a thumbs down for cancelling plans with friends after making them.
Of course, the secret third ending is the best though.
April Fool's. Of course, you probably knew there was NO third ending, right?
My story progress is seriously at around 17%. I bought the game on day 1 and have barely touched the SP. I'll probably never finish it too.
I bought it on day one as well, waited in line at midnight at a 24 hour Wally World with a friend who bought the 360 version.
However, as soon as I got it(a full DAY before I got my PS3 to play it on) I was itching to play it.
Unfortunately, after finding how screwed up the controls were versus prior games in the series(they went with the Xbox styled controls for driving and doing drivebys that I HATED on the XBox versions of the last gen installments in the series), I really began to hate the game.
But now that I've been getting the kicked glitch so often, I've been tempted to replay the single player and actually finish Mercenaries 2 and Rise Of The Argonauts and any other games I've been neglecting to finish while I've been playing this one online.
Probably won't be able to play again tonight...I think we're going into the city to see Late of the Pier. What's with all of these good shows on GTA night?
It's like Cheapest hired an editor.
Ha!
so who's gettin' the Saints Row 2 expansion coming out on April 15th?
Ooh...me, me, me! Tera Patrick as DLC? I'm in.
Damn, hope you suckas have a good game tonight. My router won't let join games where I'm stayin at. And with all my family stuff it's hard to commit to anything entertainment-wise and not feeling guilty.
I've been working on getting 100% and it's a bit daunting. I've done 50/50 stunt jumps, I've done all of the friend hang out events (bowling, darts, etc.). And I've gone through and killed more than 100 pigeons...but jees louise!
All in all, the game has been out a while and I did not get it from the start but in the few months I've played the game I'll have to say that GTAIV:
a)does not have the best GAMEPLAY overall, too many things are missing: fun weapons, jet planes, sky diving, taxi/firetruck/medic missions, golf carts etc. But the gameplay is mature with an improved shooting scheme (that relies too much on auto aim) and a decent enough cover system. The driving is a blast and really makes you feel like an accomplished player weaving in and out of traffic.
b) probably has the best GTA protagonist: an immigrant with few ties to his locale with a great accent, use of dialogue. He fits the whole theme of the game which I'd probably would say is Nihilism. There is no meaning to any of the violence brought on by Niko or exacted upon him. Ultimately, IMO, Niko might not be as cool as Viggo Mortensen's character in Eastern Promises, or the ideal persona of a bad ass, but I really think Niko is the game's saving grace.
Oh, yeah. How the hell am I supposed to bowl a turkey? This is harder than real life.

You think the pigeons were a pain in the ass? Did you try they garbage the pulled in San Andreas last gen? I forget how they did it, but you had to collect or do three different things in San Andreas to get 100% of those done.
I don't understand why the hell they didn't just stick with the tried and true 100 packages, with each 10 giving you a weapon powerup when you got to each level.
I mean, seriously, I used to enjoy just pulling rampages of my own in Vice City and knowing that I had all the ammo I could ever need at my mansion that I took from one of the other characters in the storyline
(even if the ending was akin to Scarface)
.
I seriously miss the flame thrower and even the jetpack, though I'd still forgo both of those for the type of environment we may see in the upcoming PS3/360 game called I Am Alive.
I was just flipping through the issue of Game Informer with the God Of War 3 article/preview in it and saw the preview for that game. It's due late 09 supposedly.
LOL I was gonna say, force me to buy another game? How'd ya plan on doing that? I'm lucky if I play any PS1 games besides playing the shit outta GTA IV. Now, if they added PS2 playback to the non BC PS3's, THEN I could play Vice City and San Andreas again.
Huh? New GTA? I'm sure they're working on a 'more realistic'(read: CRAPPY) version of Vice City as we speak, since the recycled Liberty City already.
Mind you, I really don't care if they make it kinda crappy, as long as I can steal a jet from the airport and slam it into some art deco buildings along the beach and watch 'em BURRRRRRNNN!!!
