CAG GTAIV Night: Same Bat-Time, Same Bat-Channel[ 9/2 @ 10pm EST ]

I like CheapestGamer's idea, I love Deal Breaker, Bomb Da Base II, and the one he was referring to, Hangman's Noose. I would like it even more because I expect the CAG'ers i'm playing with to have mics so we could have some crucial teamwork and prevent massive screw ups.

Btw, psn: nohomos

For some reason, I keep forgetting that it's called Hangman's Noose, but you would think I would know it by now since I've played that mode or Free Mode the most when playing with others recently.

I forget who it was(but I think it was someone from CAG), but the one night we played HN for like 2 hours straight I think.

Of course, the one night on Deal Breaker, I kept getting all sorts of jerks coming in and cooking grenades and blowing us all to hell before we could even get to where the deal was.

The easiest way to do that mode though, is to go about a block or two back from where you're started and there's a chopper. Have everyone climb in there, then fly to the meeting and either land on the ground and work your way up or pull one of my kamikaze moves and start from the top and work your way down.

I believe each time you complete the game, if you haven't died once on the hard difficulty BOTH HN and DB pay around $5k each time.

It's a fairly easy way to level up really quick, for those who might be just starting to play GTAIV online.

If anyone wants to start up HN or DB after the CAG games, please invite me because I would love to be in. I can't play BDB though, the fucking thing freezes anytime I get near the boat.

What was up with Cops & Crooks tonight?? Those were some of the shortest rounds ever. Were you guys in a hurry?

At least all of the team games and races were pretty excellent. Team Car Jack would be good with 3-person teams the next time we have 12 people.

And dude... Those Ripleys are deceptively stealthy.

The thing with Cops & Crooks is, if it's set up for a specific island of LC, that's where EVERYONE will spawn. Plus, I have to admit that the spawning for this game is pretty fucked up at times.

I remember making Free Mode games and having some of the deathmatching idiots come in and I vaporize them with a rocket, only to have them spawn right next to me even though I had it set to respawn them FAR away.

That's why for the C&C games, you need to not only set up the game so it's ALL of LC, but also set the respawn point to FAR.

Yeah, it's pretty annoying to spawn as the crooks and immediately hear the cop's sirens.

But  at my six cop/two car/one rocket kill.

Even though you don't respawn when we're playing the non Boss version of C&C, I prefer that one ALOT more, since it at least gives everyone a chance to win or lose the round for the team. Once the boss is taken out in the other version, that's it, GAME OVER.

Plus, being the boss in a C&C game is not fun in the least, since you have a giant bullseye on you.

I just got the game thanks to the B2G1 at Gamestop, and hopefully after I get a little more used to things, I'll be able to join in on some of the fun here...
Too bad there's no way to design a custom race by setting up checkpoints; subway race I hardly knew thee.
We could always make our own track in the subway tunnels. The subway is a hell of a maze in GTAIV. Back in every other game, it was practically just a big circle. Now, if you take one wrong turn, you end up in the far corners of the map.

E3 WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It turned out Microsoft didn't announce the Perfect Dark remake for a surprise release tomorrow, so that means I won't have to hand GTA Night off to someone else. So, GTA Night tomorrow!

XBOT!!!

Instead of GTAIV we should play coop PDZ.

No more helocopter races please! God the controls made absolutely no sense to me, maybe there explained better in the single player which I gave up on.

How bout some free mode stuff, you can just reek havoc and try to kill cops right?

I basically play GTA for 2 hours a week, and its only because of you guys that I even still have the game. The chat (voice and text) take the night to an even higher level.

God I just wish they would have patched in L1/R1 shooting option.

I'm always playing Free Mode later at night, though I turn off friendly fire and autoaim and I usually get rid of the cops too. :D

So then I just go into their version of Times Square after finding some RPG's and I just lay waste to everything in sight. Thing is, unless you max out empty slots, you're going to have some shithead trying to kill you for about 10 minutes, until they figure out the friendly fire is off.

Mind you, I STILL wish Rockstar would make a surprise announcement saying that PS3 owners are getting destructible environments. But I'm sure they're working on the bastardized 'realistic' re-make of Vice City already and have long since given up on this game.

Either way I may be ummmm 'indisposed'(read: seeing the ex ;)) tomorrow evening, so don't exactly count on me showing up. I can hear DD cheering now.
Turf War or Team Deathmatch (teams of 3/4)
^ Shotguns
^ Raining
^ Parked Cars
^ 1 Second Respawn

That's my suggestion for tonight.
Parked cars are NO fun for those of us who have sorta kinda mastered smushing people to death with vehicles to get kills. Personally, if not for vehicular kills, I'd get almost NO kills at all.
good times tonight!
Yes they were.....YES THEY WERE. hehehehehe:lol: Oh wait, you were talking bout CAG GTA night?

:whistle2:# I'll stop talking now.

Yeah I got kicked off psn during that last deathmatch, it was going to be my last game anyway so I just turned off the ps3 and went to bed.

Seeing triple x commit suicide right as I was getting in the boat was hilarious, especially since I could still talk to him for a few seconds after he died.

^^^^ I'll be sending your ex a thank you note very soon for that.

I was driving to the last crooks guys! *referring to metaly and randy_wrecked* Doesn't anyone use thier map anymore?! They were on the same level as us by the time you wanted to drive up the off ramp.

Cops 'n Crooks was kinda rough, but that last rocket deathmatch turned out pretty good. So many 1-for-1 kills, mostly involving metaly/kube I think.

oh yea this week I pwned at Rockets TDM, but I sucked it up with the sniper rifles...

The boat race and the Biff race was a lot of fun, especially the Biff's piling up...

I was pretty happy to get a rocket kill last night without the other guy killing me too. :hot: The sniper TDM was cool, though. Ghost Face and I had a sweet sniper nest on top of one of the buildings for most of the round. All we needed were some claymores for the stairs.

:applause: for everyone who set up the bus barricade in Times Square. It was a good night for GTA racing in general. I liked stealing Dasflikko's F@ggio during the Biff race, only to fly off and get run over by Randy seconds later.

I personally loved the sniper TDM where I ran over the two knobs busy playing with the knobs on their scopes to even notice me. I refer to them as knobs simply because they called it a lame kill.
According to my dictionary, it's the lame who can't walk. Kinda like my roadkilll.:booty:

Great games again last night. The boat race was sooo much better than last weeks helicopter races. and the deathmatch with rocket launchers was good but the biff race was IMO the best part of the night!

That's like the one time recently on CAG GTA night where someone critiqued my helicopter flying skills. I hate the fuckin' controls in GTAIV with a passion. If they had kept them the same since Vice City, I would probably score a ton of kills via chopper. Then it'd probably be comments like 'pussy can't even get a normal kill, they have to be in a chopper'.

Some of the newbies who have joined our little group on Weds are quite abrasive with their comments, which is another reason why I really don't give a shit if I play or not. Not that the comments 'hurt' me at all, but save that shit for the people on Live or when you're playing against other players and not your fellow CAGs.

Definitely not me with the comments since I just popped a mic on yesterday for the first time since playing a CAG night. I never realized what I was missing out on, hilarious stuff some of it. I do trash talk sometimes, and the comment didn't bother me and my newb skills at all. For once I wasn't the cadaver, so it's all good.
I guess we should be nicer to fellow CAGs, it probably wouldn't hurt since it encourages more participation on these nights. I know a few of the guys on GTA night from Warhawk night, and that's the only reason I bought the game, for the CAG aspect. Why play with strangers when you can do it with people you know (as much as you can "know" anyone over the internet).

That sounds like a few people I used to play against in TDM and DM games on GTAIV. You'd be coming barrelling at them in a car and they spin around and just nail you outta nowhere.

The one night I was playing with Swavage and there were two people who were picking people off from up in helicopters with the chain guns from the copters.

Trash talking just takes the comraderie out of playing the game, if you ask me, but I know some like to do it for whatever reason.

Whatever lets you enjoy the game, I suppose.

That reminds me, have you ever seen the Slime controller? Was at a GS last week and saw it on the shelf, pretty sure it was blue tho, not silver.
