CAG Madden 11 League 2 - Season 2! Week 10 Deadline Sat night. TEAMS OPEN!
It's just a natural landing place for him I guess.

Anyway, does Kay know about the retirement thing? If so and he's still fine with it, I think it's a fair trade.
I tried calling him i think he is sleep I am going to see if he wants to make the draft pick conditional so that it is a little fairer something like if Terrell Owens retires than it is a 4rth rd pick and if he sticks around than a 3rd rd pick.
greg wasn't feeling well so he dropped so I could play cpu vs the jets
We can get a sub. Any other 1-5 teams around? :D

with a deadline of tomorrow night that person would have to be online now

Okay, anyone available to sub right now?
Bengals and Titans agree to following terms:

Bengals send Terrell Owens 89 ovr and rookie tight end Jermaine Gresham 77 ovr

Titans send Randy Moss 93 ovr , Tight End J. Cook jr 68 ovr , and a 3rd rounder
come on cru... u used the word swindle earlier?

I can sub, but if I lose again I will probably cry :(

I went ahead and rejoined as the Jets...just pending commissioner approval to go ahead and sub.
I can sub, but if I lose again I will probably cry :(
Up to redworm. You're better than greg (no offense greg) so that's not exactly a fair sub if he doesn't want it.

Nevermind, I don't think it's fair myself.

Lol oops yeah our records are almost opposite...but I usually suck with new teams cause it takes me a while to find plays I'm comfortable with. Just let me know if you wanna get another sub.

Edit: Alright alright, I'm leaving....although I AM 1-2 in the other league :'(

Go ahead and play the CPU

For future reference, and this is mostly for Greg: If you're not feeling well and think you might not be able to make your game then stop by the thread so we'll have more time to find a sub. Obviously things come up at the last minute sometimes, but I'd live to avoid last minute cancellations in combination with opponents who only have a limited window in which to play (as is the case tonight) whenever possible.

Re-posting this for those who missed it:
Just an FYI for everybody, because it's the trading deadline this week I will not be moving the advancement either forward or back.

I'm setting it at 11PM EST Tuesday Night, and that's it. Even if all the games finish before then we'll hold it firm. Likewise, I won't be moving back the deadline for any games not played by then. Any trades must be submitted and approved before that deadline (I'll be around to approve any last-minute trades, but if you submit one at 10:55 it better be damned fair or I have no problem rejecting it).
It's now looking like Texans-Colts is going to be our last game of the week, and will be played early tomorrow morning. Rather than wait a whole day to advance I'm going to extend the deadline into Week 9, but it will still be 11PM EST tomorrow.

Only teams who have not yet played their Week 9 games can make trades. So if you want to make a trade tomorrow, don't play your game and make sure your trading partner doesn't either. Anyone who doesn't want to make any trades should go ahead and start setting up their games.

We'll start our Week 9 FA Period on Wednesday morning.

---

Also.. It's likely that game will wrap up while I'm already at work. Is there anyone who will be around tomorrow morning who can monitor that game and advance us once they finish and then promote me back to commish after?

I should be able to no problem. I have a bye this coming week so anything to push things along. :D

impossible to get through a game without injuries, after waay too many resets that almost made my gf strangle me I finally finished the game but there were injuries on both sides

Zurezo's going to play the CPU as well in a little while, since Pacer had to cancel tomorrow's game. I'm booting Pacer and promoting uber to commish. Either advance us tonight or tomorrow morning and then pass me back the baton.

Advanced.

I'm going to enjoy my bye and use this extra time to hit the practice field for the upcoming divisional rival game between the Jags and Texans. Winner sits atop of the AFC South!
i will sub vs worm

EDIT: nvm i see he played it
Thanks for offering, though for future reference you can't sub for a team in your division or against one.
How are the panthers above me on the power rankings ?
You realize I don't set those, right? :D

I don't believe their formula factors in head-to-head games.
Are the Dolphins still open? I can play almost any night.

Thanks.
Yeah.

Can you post your XBL name as well and I'll send you the league info so you can join up.

Jags are putting out feelers for a last minute deal. We're looking for a backup HB. I have some low level CBs I could deal (68, 67 ovr).
Lendale White? I'm looking to lower my team's average weight.
Hmm, I could be interested. I have two offers out now on players who will probably cost me less, but let me know what you'd want for White.

Ouch, I didn't realize McCoy went down.

The only pending trade right now is the Owens-Moss deal, and I still want to hear from kay before I approve that one so I'm sure he knows and is fine with the possible retirement factor.

Gosh I dropped 2 spots on the Power Rankings for beating the last undefeated team who was #1 on the Power Rankings? That is one harsh system!
Richard Seymour is dying to get out of Oakland... and Jason Campbell just wants a chance to play...
I will give you a sixth or Mark Brunell for Campbell
Shonn Greene (sp?)
lol who is your starter LT? I'd rather not take on any Jets, but I'm interested if nothing else comes up.
lol who is your starter LT? I'd rather not take on any Jets, but I'm interested if nothing else comes up.
Yeah, LT is my starter.

And I specifically thought maybe a Jet would make you happy?

You want Brian Westbrook?? Kinda old but still pretty solid...and a really good receiving back.

77 OVR; 89 speed; 88 agility; 87 acceleration; 85 carrying; 83 catching; and 31 in zone coverage (if you wanted to put him in as a safety).

But his injury rating is a 60, so that would be a pretty big risk...you'd probably end up right back where you are now after a couple weeks with him lol.

I sent an offer to gregthomas for McKnight. I'm looking into Westbrook and Harrison now so expect offers. And I'm still in discussions with the Lions over one of their backups. So the Jags will hopefully have a deal wrapped up in the next hour or 2!
Anyone want a steelers player? I'm keeping big b and Wallace only.
I'm very interested. Sent you a PM.
