have any of yall ever forced a fumble and your guy clearly falls on it but it gives it back to your opp. and gives them a first down?

I've been on the receiving end of one of these gifts. I think what the game thinks happens is that the defense actually recovers the fumble at some point, but then that player is stripped and the offense recovers it back. Because there was an actual change of possession, the offense gains a first down regardless of the spot of the ball.

It just looks stupid though and makes the game look really broken.

The Colts finally have a win!

A 31-21 victory over the Patriots in a classic Indy-New England battle. After all those close losses, I'm finally on the board.
 
Apparently my team plays reacts to water like the wicked witch of the west. Brady was throwing behind receivers, fumbles, and 3-4 pretty shitty dropped passes. GG.

EDIT: Also, ubernes will be taking over for me as the patriots next week. I'm moving to Alaska and probably wont be back for a couple of weeks. We have our new house set, so hopefully it wont take too long to get an ISP out there.

I can hear someone's very noisy mic in madden, ONLY when I seem to go to this franchise in the menus. Not in a game, not in a party, etc etc...I mostly hear noise, but occasionally someone say something brief or breathe or cough or something.

...strange. It took me a while to figure out what the hell that WEIRD sound was coming out of my TV until I plugged in my headset...

Could it be the Madden Podcast partially buffering and playing a few seconds at a time?
 
Whoever has the NFL network on at home and has their Xbox on and a mic plugged in, you're broadcasting over Madden via this league's home screen. Somehow. If it's Kinect, I'm going to assume this is Microsoft's "targeted advertising" in action ;)

re gbpackers: based on what's on right now, maybe? Although I heard a voice a couple hours ago when I first heard it, didn't sound like a podcast, it has that "noisy audio" that you hear over XBL.

Giants over Eagles 17-14 in a game I didn't deserve.

After our first two games started as such:

1) One pass thrown by Vick into the arms of Corey Webster. Disconnect.

2) Giants TD, then fumble by Eagles recovered by NY. Disconnect.

This game started with some points, but was extremely defensive throughout the game. Try 3 3rd down conversions all game. I was 1-7. Eeeew.

Was 14-7 the vast majority of the 2nd half, Eagles were running a drive and starting to milk the clock with just over 2 minutes left when Weaver, the FB, picked up a 3rd down conversion but DROPPED THE BALL. Rolle would have returned it for a TD if he didn't step out of bounds, but I scored on that drive to tie it. Vick then threw an INT to Michael Johnson early in the next posession to put me in FG range, and I ran out the clock and kicked the GW FG as time expired.

GG Uggles. I was going to be a little grumpy if I lost this one based on how our first two games started, but you did deserve this particular game for sure, just a couple of badly timed turnovers won it for me.

Giants now stand at 7-3, 2 games ahead of the Eagles and Cowboys. Big win for the Giants to hold onto the division lead.

On another note...holy crap, I'm 7-3. Eat your heart out, Bills!
 
Heart breaking loss right there. Everything that could go wrong started to with 2:30 left. If gameflow hadn't called a wildcat play when I was at the 3 I wouldn't have wasted that timeout, giving me a sliver of hope after you kicked your fg. :-({|= gg man.

Thank god... I have been hearing this for weeks and literally thought I was going insane. I was this close to tearing open the walls and looking for gremlins.

I went on an Alaskan cruise and loved it. Good luck and take pictures of Russia for us.

The gremlins are still there, bv...I just didn't want to tell you. I planted them some time before our first game hoping the insanity would drive you crazy enough to give me a win...I suppose it ended up working in this league, though ;) [Although I blame Cutler more than anything on that one.]

Any word on these? Unless I hear otherwise that there's a game scheduled for later, I'm going to plan to advance around 8:30-9

What's going on with the other two games? I noticed A Hard has the Falcons in game, is he planning to sub? If so, when? Doom, the game looks to be between your two buddies so I'm hoping you might have the skinny.
 
Zurezo and I were gonna play at 4:30, I emailed him and told him I got called into work until 6, and I haven't heard from him yet. I am logged on and should be most the night, so when he gets on, we will play.
 
so... i just lost 19-20 and i was in the middle of kicking a field goal with time expiring to win (i was on his 4 or something like that) and the fuckING KICK LAG hits at :01 and right as i released the button so he would kick the ball... WTF

So we're simming the Rams-Falcons game which means the MIA Zurezo is the only one holding things up. Greg, did you and he have a firm time in place?

We said 430 originally, i emailed and told him it would have to move back to 6 because i got called into work. I havent heard anything back from him at all.
 
Yeah, I'm on it. If we have a volunteer who can sub RIGHT NOW than we'll take them. Since Zurezo has such a good record it can be anyone. If no one steps up, I'll boot him and you play the CPU.
 
I've booted Zurezo. Greg, if no one posts in here that they can sub in the next 5, go ahead and play the CPU.

Either way post in here when the game wraps up and I'll advance us.
