CAG Madden 11 League 2 - Season 2! Week 10 Deadline Sat night. TEAMS OPEN!

We have a designated sub for the Cardinals (sprice) but I don't think he really wants to do it anymore...but we'll probably try and find you another sub first before thinking about playing the CPU.

I think it's fair to say that enthusiasm for getting these games in has evaporated to the point where I'm caring less whether people play the CPU. At this rate I would not be surprised if this is the last season we run two leagues.

Yea I feel like I have a good team but need a qb.....but it depends on the price since I could always pick up a rookie if need be... just feel like all these close games could b avoidable if fitzpatrick wasn't so bad.... i have trouble placeing the ball on target...

Anyone friends with the lions owner? (FlyinSkwirl/Flying Skwirl). Sent him a pm near lunchtime today, haven't heard back at all, and i'd like to play this game sometime today...

Anybody know kaotic I want to get the game in tonight I also tried to pm him and xbox message him and he hasnt returned anything yet

I believe he's a friend of red worm, who I think we all know is still lurking around here somewhere. :D

I'm trying to get hold of him in the other league and haven't been able to either. Oh well.

As for the Colts-Steelers game, I know Pacer is out of town this weekend so hopefully we'll be able to get it in some evening this week.
I do still keep up with the thread. I don't have any way of helping you reach him.
Thanks for stopping by anyway. :D

Man I used to think mog's coverage was the hard thing to overcome, but after that game...I think it's his pass rush. I couldn't stay in the pocket for more than 1-2 seconds before getting hit on basically every throw. I audibled Gore to block and audibled my O-line into a "pinch" formation but it never helped. My receivers would usually be in 1 on 1 coverage when he blitzed but Alex Smith is NOT the QB to be trying those deep lobs down the field. Clausen on the other hand...if Aaron Scott was left in 1 on 1 coverage, he would burn my defender every time and Clausen would throw the deep pass perfectly in there. I know it was stupid not to have a safety down there every time but I had to try and blitz every now and then cause Clausen was getting way too much time in the pocket on every play.

45-21 Panthers!!!!!!! But not MY Panthers :(

It's both.

Supersim is not my friend. Advance away Sheriff...
You're telling me. I regret taking a supersim loss to the Vikings. I'd be only 1 game behind you had I not done that.

u could've very well been a game or two ahead of me if I hadn't had three straight cpu games

Not sure who I play this week off the top of my head, I'm the Patriots, but I'll be around tonight if whoever it is wants to get the game in.

Sigh... I guess we'll boot him if you don't hear by tomorrow.

It's becoming more and more difficult to care when people commit to a season and then just go MIA, lol.

i wouldn't boot him until wednesday...because i can atleast play at 7pm est wednesday night (early enough for us to advance) if he doesn't respond.....

Pacer - looks like I will miss our gametime sorry. Hopefully we can get it in tonight or tomorrow evening.

Edit: Nevermind, I made it back. I'll hop on in a couple minutes.

Steelers 31 - Colts 3

Scoreline pretty much says it all. This one was a nightmare for Peyton Manning, who threw 5 picks. The only dark cloud here for the Steelers was losing Hines Ward for 11 weeks, so they might be in the market for a receiver.

Does anybody know kaotic I want to get this game in tonight and he said he would be on but I have been sitting by my xbox for close to and hour and a half and nothing so if anyone can get ahold of him please tell him that I am ready to play

Don't know if you guys got in touch, but he was on a couple minutes ago..

Patriots 34 - Chiefs 24
The Patriots defense harassed Matt Cassel all game resulting in four picks, one of which was returned for a touchdown. Neither team could stop the running attack. The Patriots rookie halfback Jermaine Baker had over 200 yards on the ground and three scores. Jamaal Charles had close to 150 rushing yards himself and a score or two. Tom Brady was efficient, 9 for 14 with almost 150 yards passing, no picks or td's. The difference here was the Patriots secondary. A low spot came for the Patriots in the form of Rob Gronkowski's broken collarbone, out for 11 weeks. That leaves the Pat's without Aaron Hernandez and Gronkowski. They will be turning to the rookie Tanner Talbert and the veteran Alge Crumpler for a couple weeks until Hernandez returns from his broken collarbone. Good game Chiefs.
Looking to trade dwayne bowe if anybody is interested let me know
Raiders are interested

You don't play them until next week, we won't be advancing until tomorrow night.

We had a guy for them but he seems to have vanished.. Is anyone interested in taking them over? I know they're always popular.

The Cowboys plow through the Vikings 51-14

My rookies showed up big time for this game!

Rookie Fullback Clay Smithey had 2 catches for 50 yards, including a touchdown.

Rookie FS J.D. Nealy had 4 tackles and his first pick of the year.

Julius Peppers finally made his presence known as a Dallas Cowboy recording two sacks.

Tony Romo had a solid game going 20/30 for 316 yards, 4 touchdowns, and no picks.

Felix Jones rushed 10 times for 84 yards and a touchdown

So, no one knows what's up with XPG Cheesy Man? My internet time is still somewhat limited for these next few days, so I'm wondering what to do.

I don't know what's up with him...I think he's had at least a couple games simmed so far in this league. I remember him posting an apology for being absent cause he's apparently drunk all the time or something lol. Do you think you'd be able to play the CPU sometime tomorrow Matt if he doesn't show up? I don't wanna boot him a day in advance but if you can't play tomorrow then I wouldn't mind doing it so you can play tonight.

Alright guys only 3 more games...where we at??

Texans vs. Titans - Just play the CPU Cobra

Chargers vs. Browns - Matt I'll boot the Browns when I wake up tomorrow if he hasn't gotten in contact with you yet

Bengals vs. Ravens - I know you guys tried to play your game pretty much immediately after we advanced...I'm assuming you disconnected, but what's up? You guys planning on trying again soon?

So basically all I need to hear about is the Ravens vs. Bengals...we should be able to advance sometime tomorrow early evening.
OK, I'll play my texans game tonight. I didn't want anyone upset if I played the cpu without telling anyone.
I'm the Jags sub, do you want to play after we advance tonight?

Matt go ahead and pop in here and let me know if you can play the CPU today (or if you were able to get in contact with Cheesy)...I know you said your internet is limited so I'm hoping you'll be able to play...I just don't want to boot Cheesy now and then end up having to sim it later if you aren't able to play today.

I'm gonna advance around 7 or 8 p.m. EST...only 2 CPU games to be played and one other game that I haven't heard anything about. Matt I'm gonna go ahead and boot Cheesy now, but if I don't hear anything by 7-8 then I'm just gonna have to sim it unfortunately...sorry.

Cheesy you got an invitation to rejoin the league

Thank you, and sorry for not responding sooner. This has been my first opportunity to get on the computer today. I can play before 7 P.M. Eastern. If it's alright with you, I'll just supersim however many times it takes to win without injuring any key players on either side. I don't want to play a full game vs. the CPU, but I don't want to take another sim or supersim loss. Not sure what the rules are in regards to supersimming a CPU game, but I'm pretty the method I just described is considered acceptable, right?
