CAG Madden 11 League 2 - Season 2! Week 10 Deadline Sat night. TEAMS OPEN!

Cool. After supersimming my CPU game vs. the Vikings 3 times and losing every time, I just said "fuck it" and took the loss. But after SirAdam beat me in the last game to send me to 2-2, I can't afford to not take an easy win here, heh.
 
Going out to get some dinner right now...I'll advance when I get back (around 7:30 EST) unless I hear something from Bengals/Ravens about playing soon...and hopefully Cobra plays his game soon against the CPU.

Sometimes it can be- though I've only done it maybe 3 times before- but I just really hate playing the CPU in online franchise games. I can't even really explain why, since I have enjoyed offline single player franchises in the past. Anyway, I'm getting on there in about 10-15 minutes.

My gameroom currently has the floor ripped up and my 360 is in a box. It's possible I'll be able to get it set up tomorrow night, but I think Friday or Saturday night is the best bet.

Alright guys we're advanced...Ravens over Bengals in the only simmed game.

I'm going out of town on Friday and will be back Monday night, so hopefully BV will be able to handle everything during that time. I'll go ahead and set the deadline for Saturday night. We're starting to have so many CPU teams in this league...so the weeks should go pretty quickly if a bunch of you guys are just playing the CPU. If a team has a designated permanent sub though, then DON'T play the CPU without getting in touch with that sub first. Some of those permanent subs have actually been keeping up with both of their teams and subbing each week, so you should be able to get your game scheduled with them pretty easily.

Raiders lose their first game of the season... there was a lil cheeseplay goin on but it wasnt unbearable... just wish i had a better offensive line to deal with the blitzing on every play. GG Ballhawk

the constant hurry up.... during a 2 minute drill, it's normal, but all throughout the game at random spots for 5 or 6 straight plays is a lil excessive

Hey real nfl teams do that at random times to. Try to get things started nothin was working in the beginning I had to do something!

i aint gonna make a big deal about it cuz like i said, it wasnt unbearable... i just wanted to let u know cuz there was a problem with someone constantly running the hurry up the whole game before and i'm pretty sure it was before u joined the league so u wouldn't have known about it.
 
If a team was running it the entire game it would be an issue (unless it's the Colts, lol) but I don't have a problem if teams do it from time to time to throw off the D, as long as it's not abused. And obviously when the clock is a factor it's fine (though in Madden calling a new play is often quicker if the clock runoff isn't on).
 
Anyone wanna sub for the Seahawks? If not...then I'll have to play my 3rd CPU game of the season already..... :(

I can only play tonight since I'm leaving early tomorrow afternoon for Dallas.
 
MasterAwesome, can you let me know what to do about my game with Detroit? I'm the Chargers, by the way. I'm not sure if you or anyone has heard whether FlyingSkwirl will be rejoining or what's up with all that.
 
He's another guy who has had to be booted at least a couple times so far...I'd say you're probably gonna have to end up playing the CPU. I just checked the invites I've sent out and it looks like I forgot to send him an invite back to join the league, so let's give him til tomorrow night or so to see if he rejoins. Are you still with limited internet time over there? Would you be able to play the CPU sometime tomorrow night or sometime Saturday (not too late)? I'll be going out of town tomorrow but if you don't hear from Flying Skwirl by tomorrow night (or he doesn't rejoin the league by then), then feel free to play the CPU.

Internet time will be limited, yes, but I'm sure I can manage to get in a CPU game if necessary. The problem would be scheduling vs. a human opponent. Tomorrow is my last full day of vacation, and then I'll be traveling pretty much all day Saturday thanks to a long layover in Houston.

My gameroom is still not back up and running until the repair guys finish their work tomorrow, so tomorrow night is the earliest I can play.

I'm gonna make this short and sweet....or atleast try to.

As of Today, I will on longer be coaching the Saints or the Broncos.

As I sat playing the last couple of games...I found myself thinking of 30 or so other things I could be doing with my time, that would be more productive, and more fun.

I think taking on a 2nd and 3rd team and back to back to back losses in 1-2 days really kind of kills your mood.

We've drafted some insane talent into this league recently....and I for one will admit when i'm being outplayed by somebody far more talented than myself. I've found myself in this situation quite often as of late.
When this happens, it's time for me to step down and let the young alpha males take the lead. I was never great, but I was decent. And in this case, decent is good enough for me.

To those that I had great games with..you will be missed.

To those I had some not so great games with, I wish you the best of luck in the future.

To Uber, BVharris, and Master...... THANK YOU.

Bv/Master, since i'm still responsible for this week, if Kaotioc R3D wants to play his game against the broncos sometime between 7pmest and 12am est tomorrow or anytime saturday, i'll be glad to play him. But after that, they're wide open.

Sorry to see you go, Adam, but since you're on my friend list, we can always play Madden or something else when you want.
 
Nooooo not you too ferocious adam...I thought your unwavering loyalty would stick around for at least 5 more seasons :'( I will never concede defeat to the young blood we have recruited...us old-timers have to keep things going strong.

But don't worry about playing your games for this week...go on and live your life. If it is meant to be...you will fly back to us one day!

As long as we're putting things out there, I should make it known that this will also be my last season in this league. That's last season mind you, I'm staying in until the end of this one, and will still be in the other league assuming it keeps going.

If MA or someone else wants to take over, that is fine with me and I'll have ownership of the OP transferred, but I'm kind of getting the sense this might be the last season of CAG 2.0 anyway given the waning enthusiasm. We've come to the point where one league is probably enough for our needs (at least until Madden 12).
