Haha, another excellent question to which the answer depends on how much we trust SCEA. Did they fix it? Maybe? lol. I don't think you replacing a dropped player is what broke the last league though. mdamore said he had a league with no replacements and their games stopped counting too. Probably just something that happened while SCEA was trying to fix everything. I'll keep you in mind if somebody drops.
 
Oh well, I guess this is what happens when you get lazy and only check PMs. I probably should have actually checked the board after getting the PM on 5/22 instead of just trying to get up with my next opponent.

I hope it works this time for you guys!

Also, Nate- in the real MLB, almost 3/4 of the league does not make the playoffs.

The reason is because I can't activate the league until everyone is in. And I have literally seen the draft time change after I choose "activate". It could actually be fixed this time, who knows. But SCEA has gone way past deserving the benefit of the doubt.

Hey n8, I'm ready to accept the invite. It looks like the A.L has alot of the teams. Do you want me to stay as the Orioles or do you want me to jump ship to the N.L and be the Giants or the Dodgers? I'm fine with either division I just want to try and make them even.

They're even. I actually had to get people to switch to AL teams so it would be that way. It just looks like the NL teams are slacking on accepting their invitation. The OP reflects 6 AL and 6 NL though.

Good news: league is now activated.

Bad news: draft time is still wrong. Sadly, it's somewhat my fault though. I think the idea of having to "outthink" the game has made me go cross-eyed because for some reason I thought the game scheduled the draft earlier than the time you chose...when it's actually later than the time you chose (it's too bad having it at the time you actually picked isn't an option). Which means, our draft is at 11 PM EST (still on Monday though). The only good to take out of this is that a 16 team draft only took 1.5 hours last time...and we only have 12 this time. If this is a problem for anybody, do whatever you like. At this point, I really don't care, lol. If someone else wants to set up a new league and do a better job than me, I implore you to do so.
 
I'm gonna let it autopick for me - I'll set up a que and see what happens. With 12 teams I ought to get some decent players regardless.
 
Well, that was a disaster. I got screwed out of 2 picks- one of them being very important in the 20's, even though all Nate mentioned in retort was the 40th round pick. And then there was the issue of 2 people shit talking and then not saying anything back once I responded... I know that being a dick to people is Nate's thing on CAG, but it's usually stupid people who deserve to be openly mocked. I was quite taken aback that he'd talk like that to somebody who's supposed to be one of hos good online friends.

In summation, I am really glad I stopped watching Stallone shoot people to spend an hour and a half getting shit on by people, fucked over by the game, and then get blown off!
 
Yay! I got the first pick overall. I get on a minute late and the game picks Jose Reyes!!!!!!!!!! YAY. What great drafting logic.

Matt, all you've done is bitch and whine all night. I have no tolerance for it anymore. Even your "devastating" 20th pick is a bench guy...and you only missed that pick because you seemed to be more interested in typing shit in the chat than paying attention to your picks. Whose fault is that? So your team is ruined because of a bench guy and a guy on your AAA roster? Are you fucking kidding me??? The reason I was "blowing you off" is because I was paying attention to the fucking game and doing what we were actually there to do. Do you hear yourself? This is 13 year old girl drama. WTF? Something's bothering you tonight, and I'm willing to bet it has nothing to do with video games.
 
I hope this league doesn't turn out the way the Tecmo Bowl League turned out. stop fighting and take it out on the field when you two play eachother.
 
I just addressed a bunch of stuff in the CAGFC thread, but no. Unlike you, I can type and draft at the same time. There were a couple minutes between picks. Typing a sentence takes a couple seconds.

I was not kicked out due to not paying attention. It made the noise to signify it was my turn. I was cycling through the lists with the triggers. Then it botoed me to the online league lobby.

As I said in the CAGFC thread, I was going to ask why you were being a douche tonight. I'm whining because I got kicked out? And saying you have no tolerance for it has nothing to do with me. We've never had any such issue before, and the way you worded it says, "Matt Young has bitched and whined so much throughout the entire time I have known him that I have no tolerance for it anymore." And that's either not true at all, or you've done a good job of lying to me.

I didn't start this. You called me a 14 year old girl because I said, "This is bullshit. I was kicked out of the lobby". Then you said, "**** are awesome" and I have no idea what that was about.

Nothing else has bothered me at all tonight. You're just taking your "hater" gimmick too far.
 
Cpac, the Tecmo Bowl league failing had absolutely nothing to do with fighting. By the time the fighting had started, the league was already being "reorganized". That's what the fighting was about- people not playing, and you being terrible at running a league.

I figured you just missed your pick because you were in the middle of typing something out. I didn't "boot you" like you're assuming...nor is that even possible.

there is no way to boot people from the draft lobby. you had to do it by hitting circle or one the keys onn your keyboard

good draft, I messed up my second pick... I didn't even know it was my turn and I was still seaching for someone to queue... i wish it wouldnt toggle the draft order to disappear when looking through players, it should be a top screen scroll across...

in any case, good stuff, league should be high-powered.

I was terrible at running a league? 1/4 of the league didn't play 1 single game in 3 weeks time. 4 people dropped out. A new schedule had to be done because the majority of teams had 8 games with no opponents. A new schedule was created and a ton of fighting happened during and after which led to more people quitting. I quit running the league because 4 or so people quit the league after the new 20 team schedule was done. A mod came and closed the thread. Do not blame me for the league not running well. I am not going to be someone's personal baby sitter to make sure they played the game 15 minutes a week. You want to blame anybody, blame the 8 who didn't play a game after saying how much they wanted to play in a league and ruined it for everybody.
 
Blame the people who quit the league? Oh, you mean the people who I blamed before I blamed you? LOL. But yeah, ask anyone who did play- you were horrible. It's nothing personal. But you didn't even create the schedule in the first place. Someone else did. Then it was posted in a huge wall of text that no one could read. I had to tell you to fix that. You promised to update standings daily. You didn't, even after I mentioned it. Reported scores were not often being added to the OP, adding to the confusion. It was a huge mess.

I was going to create a smaller league after that ended for people who actually played, but I figured no one would want to due to several people experiencing lag on a regular basis.

A similar thing happened to me. I had the 9th pick, and then when it rolled back around, I was like "oh shit! already?" lol. I'm also scared how high powered the offenses are going to be. I feel like pitching is going to be a nightmare, haha.

Also, can everybody please stop bickering? Arguing about a defunct Tecmo league is really stupid...especially when you're practically arguing the same point. Just let it go. I really don't want a mod in this thread too. From this point on, let's keep the discussion related to THIS league.

Yeah, good game. I really had no business winning it. All my hits came in like the first 3 innings, then you just shut me down. Stetter or whatever his name is is just ridiculous (although for whatever reason, hitting Sabathia was cake, lol). His funky delivery plus the shadows on the field were giving me fits. I hate when games come down to bloop ass seeing eye singles though. It's so freaking arbitrary. On my game winning hit, you made a good pitch, I didn't get a very good swing on it, and it just bleeds through back up the middle. It's such garbage. I guess the game decided I had survived enough close innings so I was due for a couple hits again.

And wow, I didn't realize Braun got hurt. I thought he argued the call and got thrown out of the game, lol. I guess that's the downside of sliding into first. I guess we'll get to see right away if leagues are still broken at all, and if it will give you any trouble replacing him.
 
N8 I thought for sure that ball you hit in the 10th or 9th was a homer...

either way total bs all around. Wasnt expecting vlad to pop off the bench and fillin for braun and bat 1.000.

I guess I cant complain much.

However CC was a bit disappointing.

Also, when I saw they updated the rosters for Stetter to be in the game I knew I had to have him :) Love the brewers but man.... this team is very shaky.

I can play over the weekend. Not sure about before then. I won't be on during the NBA Finals or the Stanley Cup Final, but those are only 2.5-3 hour increments.

Well, focusing on the early series games would probably the best plan of attack. I'm not going to set any deadlines this first week, but the schedule is probably going to get bogged down the same way as before if we're not making an effort at those early series games.
