CAG NBA 2k7 Draft League: 5 Games Total Played by Sun 11/5

you could, but you would have to drop out of the league and have DTT78 send you another invite via the 360

Hey guys, can I join like 10 minutes late, I think I may be late since the draft will be done 10 my time and I will be 10 minutes away from my house
 
the only option i have to to generate schedule which will then do the draft automatically. fuck. ill try to see what going on at the 2k forums.

edit: thamaster i could set if for like 11:15 east.
 
well that didn't work. I followed the faq somone posted on the 2k forums but it didn't work. It just gave us the regular team rosters. I checked the settings and it said draft was off but I know for a fact that is was on when I created the league. I don't think we will have time set it all up again for tonight. I think we should just wait for them to fix it.

Here's the online FAQ posted in the game. Also, if you change league settings any time between creating the league and actually being able to play games (ie after the draft completes) the draft flag gets turned off so you will lose the ability to have a draft. If that happens before the draft starts customer service can turn the flag back on. If you have your time zone set correctly on your console the time you see for the draft will be your local time.

At this time, league drafts can only be run from the console; that includes creating the league, setting the draft schedule and participating in the draft. We hope to reintegrate the web draft in the near future.

If you created a league on the web do not despair. Send an email to [email protected] explaining you want to run a draft and that the league was created on the web. Be sure to include the name of the league. Then start with step (2) below.

Here are the steps for drafting from the console in NBA 2K7 (replace "league" with "tournament" if applicable):

1) Create your league on the console. Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the settings where you will see a "Player Draft" option. Set it to "On".

2) Wait for your league to fill up.

3) Once your league is full, choose the "Generate Schedule" option on the console admin menu. After the schedule has been submitted you will be prompted to set a draft time. If you do not set the time here or you decide to change the time, you can do so
from the "Schedule Draft" option under the console admin menu (that option is only available after the game schedule has been set).

4) Now everyone in the league should see and be able to enter a "Draft" lobby from the league home menu. Using the right and left triggers you can scroll through the different draft screens including the available player pool, your pending pick list
(used if you are absent from the draft), current team lineups, draft order, and a chat window.

Be sure you have the time zone set properly on your console, otherwise the times you see in the online menus (including the draft) will not correlate with your local time.

no. ill just wait for them to fix it. im going to start working on the other nondraft league in a bit so hopefully we can get that one going by the middle of next week.
 
i dropped from the league temporarily...when the drafting features are "fixed," please let me know and i'll rejoin...

this is weird, because many many different people have said that drafting DOES indeed work now...
 
i dont know what the problem is for this league

i just did 2 league drafts yesterday and the day before...are you sure that we can't do it?
 
i was checking out some other league and saw something in one that i really like. It was 1 player rated over 90, 2 rated 85-89 and the rest have to be 84 and under.

wait..was this a nondraft league that just did the transactions that way, or was this "rule" used during the draft?

anyway..i can set up the CAG draft league if you dont want to..it seems your more caught up with the nondraft league
 
yea i'll set it up this weekend...maybe friday

you know you dont have to send and accept invites via the 360, right? only the actual drafting (picking your players) have to be on the 360...everthing else is either 360 or comp

please update the OP and the title of the thread to "CAG NBA 2k7 Draft League signups starting 10/15 - refer to latest posts for details"

i will then create the website on friday and then whoever signs up for the first 14 spots will be in the CAG league

not yet, i'm gonna create the league this weekend...just be on the lookout and keep this in your "subscribed threads" :D

this isn't a signup thread, i will actually post the name of the league and the password when the league is created and first 14 that go to the 2ksports leagues website and get in are in...no "dibs" on teams...

i'm not gonna send out invites or "hold spots" for everyone because that's what happened last time and it took too long to actually get the league started up..i will create the league friday and want to fill up by saturday and have the draft saturday night (though i might decide to send invites or hold spots for those who i see have been active in this thread)

BTW, DT778, please edit the OP and change the date to 10/13 (i was looking at september calendar instead of october calendar by mistake...i'm aiming for friday)

LT Dan, yea you can join if you sign up in time...i'm starting signups (on the website) tomorrow night...so you'll be good to go if you actually have the game and system by then

expect the draft to be saturday night sometime around 11 PM EST if all spots are filled by then

we must get 14 people in the league!
 
I just signed up, so we're half way there. I don't think the last 7 will sign up by tomorrow, though, so it might be tought to do the draft on Saturday.
 
so far, 11/14 people...looks like the draft could very well be tonight...

Just to let you guys know, if the draft is tonight at 11 I more than likely won't be able to make it. I'm working at the Nascar race in Charlotte and probably won't be back til' late. If I can't make it, I hope the auto draft process is smooth and doesn't waste time. If it does, please feel free to drop me from the league. Otherwise, look forward to playing you guys.
