Update

Busy day. Busy busy day.

Ok, our recent problems and some general apathy towards the league had me down. I pretty much flaked out on unnessairy updates, basically not giving myself fully to the league. For that I am sorry. Today I turned a corner and now am pretty much back to my old self. Im hoping MY rededication might inspire some of you guys to rededicate yourself. Lead by example, right?

So whats new? First and foremost I overhauled the OP.

NFL 2k5 CAG OP
Its not only up to date, but a lot more user friendly. There is the list of this weeks contests plus some news items. And the Owners area was reworked completely. Now you can click on the team name to take you directly to their team page and contact info or click on the owners name which will set up a PM to them for you. So you pretty much have no excuse now for not getting in contact with each other since Ive done 99% of the work for you. :p

Also, to make it a little easier to find in the xbox forum since now there are tons of similar looking threads (at quick glance) I changed the title. Just tacked on some *** to make it stand out from the rest a little better. Hope it helps.

Our league site
Ive made a few adjustments to the league site. Nothing major, just freshing it up a bit. I hope to do more work on it soon but general lack of use and interest has kept me from really investing more time in it. If you guys use it more, Ill happily do more. As always Im open to ideas and suggestions. Its your website just as much as it is mine.

My inet is semi fixed. Its very fickle when it comes to working but its solid enough that Im not as paniced as before. I have a tech coming out on Tues. so hopefully it will be completely fixed after that.

Well thats all I can think of for now. Ive still got some time allotted to work on things if you guys need something (I set aside the whole afternoon) LMK what I can do for you and if it can be done, it will be.

In other news lol, I'm willing to trade Plummer or Lelie/Smith/Watts for a QB or WR. I want a more accurate QB or consistent WR's.
 
Good game, Broncos.

It was a real defensive struggle the whole game -- neither side got much offensive momentum going. Shaun Alexander broke a couple of long runs and that was the difference.

Let's go, guys, let's get some of these games in so we can move to week 5!!
 
Steve and I have been in contact and we hope to get our game played tomorrow. Maybe we'll have a miracle and everyone will finish early. :eek:
 
I have no clue when I am going to get my game played this week. I hope soon, but Dallas hasn't been around to check the trade I proposed to him, so thats a very bad sign to say the least. I want to get my game played as quickly as possible so we can move on, but it may be my game that ends up holding everyone else up.
 
Maximo and I are scehduled for tommorrow. Dallas has disappeared and Im making it publicly known that if he doesnt set things right by Friday, he is out. I promised you guys Id boot the stragglers and I meant it.
 
Speaking of practice, I could use it, whether it be on NFL, MLB, or NBA 2K5.

I'll already be playing NFL and MLB league games tonight, so anyone who wants some practice in a ranked or unranked game, let me know. Tonight's a night where I feel like staying home and playing video games all night.

What happened to the other CAG league that was trying to get started? Maybe some of those guys might want to be replacements in this league.

Matt...I've been trying to get on Live the past hour or so and I can't sign on. I just signed in a little before that to send you a Friend Request, but I can't get back on. My account runs up tomorrow so I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but it should just renew automatically.

I'll keep trying and I'll send you a PM as well. Sorry 'bout that.

Ok, at this point everything seems to be going smoothly. Probably dooming us, I will say we *may* end up finishing early this week. What a change that would be from last week, eh?
 
Awesome game Arkay, first game I've played so far online that hasnt been one sided. Tough loss for my Rams but its cool since it was a great game on both sides.
 
Good game, gomer (st.louis)...You robbed me of my first pick, and what's more, you took advantage of it and took the lead. It was a very good game IMO...close, exciting (I want that pick back btw :D ).

And just so you know, I was driving in the fourth with the lead not to run up the score on you, but to score faster so you would have the ball back and could try and catch up. It was a two possession game anyways, and I didn't want to run out the clock inside the redzone like an a-hole.

Anyways, good game.

Nothing wrong with wanting to score more dude. Put it this way, theres always a chance for someone to come back, you definitely didnt want that. That pick though, that was nuts, I'll savor that one lol.

There's a better chance of someone scoring and getting the onside kick and scoring again then somehow blowing it with the ball in the red zone and a lead as time ticks by.
 
Well, its all about having fun...I don't mind risking a lead trying to give my opponent one last possession. There's no money on the line...heck, pride isn't even on the line really...so I don't mind it at all.

Gomer, I'll get back at you for that pick :D I hope we play again if there are some sort of playoffs. Peace out.
 
Just a friendly reminder, all trades must be done by the week changeover which is Friday/Early Sat midnight. Ill probably approve some before hand if you guys ask but any trades not accepted and submitted for commish approval by then WILL BE DECLINED.

I just wanted to congratulate SteveMcQ on a game well-played. It seems like I say this about everyone, but that's only because it's always true- He was really cool to talk to (so much so that I lost track of the play clock due to conversation) and fun to play.

I just wanted to say "good game" on here since you left right after the game ended, man. I had an invite from a rival from another message board for a game afterwards and blew an early lead to go down 31-14, though. :(

I need to play this game more. Halo has taken my time away, and I almost forgot how fun NFL 2K5 was.
 
Haha...yeah...good game to you too. That was the most enjoyable whooping I've ever received. Sorry 'bout leaving so quickly. I have a tendency to jam on the A button.

I am at fault for some slow gaming, but I couldnt get on cag tonight. I was on halo for like 4 hours hoping to see Z get on, but it unfortunately didnt happen. (and Im tottally not blaming him, I just hoped that method couldve worked)


On a plus note, I just noticed that my google account was filtering the updates from the league website. So I can at least feel a little more up to date.

just get at me on here on on AIM whenever you want to get our game in steve. i'll be busy during the day this weekend, but night works for me anyways. just let me know.

all right that works. and if you happen to see me on Halo 2, just message me on AIM, as my computer is right next to my tv. Just get at me. If I am away on AIM, then I am still out and about w/ gf or playing poker. But this is Indiana, so I'll be home early tonight....haha.
