CAG/PS3 Red Faction: Guerrilla Night [Thursdays @ 10pm EST]

Sorry for my abrupt departure last night, gentlemen. FIOS was down for maintenance until about 6am this morning. I was not pleased.

Excellent games, though. Thanks to all for hopping on...we had a great crew last night!

I should've left well enough alone with my connection, since I shut off my modem for about 30 minutes yesterday, then couldn't get the dsl signal back for like another 20 minutes and apparently it was too low of a signal for RF:G once it came back since I got booted from last night's game with a vengeance the only time I tried to joing it.

Oh well....
ya, definitely glad i grabbed this game. cant wait till next week :D
Was yesterday your first time playing? Because you were playing like a seasoned pro at times. :applause:

heh thanks, ya was my first night. i just need to learn where all the gun drops are then ill be set :)
Anyone wanna play tonight? I should be on around 10-11pm pst.
hmm id play if we had our own game going. dont think im in the mood for pubs tonight.

There can't be more than 20 of us playing RFG on PS3, can there? I think the odds are pretty good that we'd get matched up if we all hop on at the same time. ;)

And, oh yeah...it's game day!
The DLC is up on the psn store, I thought it was next week.

Its way to late to use it this week though...
I just bought it. Downloading now.

Did you get it, Mr. B?
since none of us showed up for GTA I'll make RF night tonight with the promise of shotgun/sniper/stealth maps!
None of us showed up? Speak for yourself, Kube. I was there and I waited around for over an hour, but ended up playing with a friend or two in a Free Mode since none of you showed up.

No I didn't have time tonight to go get a psn card, I should have it tomorrow. Then I will have the money left over for broken steel when bethesda finally gets around to releasing that.

Good games guys, hopefully I get some sleep this coming week so I'll be more competitive next week!!

Also if any of you guys want to play tomorrow night I'm game. I'd like to try the DLC.

I might be able to do an all-nighter. I'm supposed to go see Our Lady Peace but I don't remember if it's tomorrow or next Friday.

EDIT: The show's next Friday, so I'll definitely be on tonight to play some Bagman and check out the new maps.

First post and thread title are updated to reflect the All-Nighter. Hope to see everyone tonight at 10pm EST.

(I may even hop on a little earlier to try to rack up some double-XP!)

Good games y'all, sorry I had to scram early on... My lasagna dinner was getting cold. :/
Still need to buy the DLC, though I don't know if I'm going to be busy throughout the evening tomorrow to play with you guys. Here's hoping I won't be! ;)

Some details from Volition on the new DLC pack (8 new maps, not 18):

New Maps (Playable on all but Siege):

 • Puncture
 • Broadside
 • Compound
 • Division
 • Equilibrium
 • Gradient
 • Haven
 • Remnant
New Modes:

 • Bagman
 • Team Bagman
For those that enjoyed Red Faction 2, you may recognize the mode names above, as we've brought them back. Your objective in both modes is to grab or protect the bag, and then retain possession for as long as possible.

Both new modes can be played on all of the non-DLC maps as well, which can make for some very interesting matches. If you ever wanted an action-filled match, try Bagman with more than 10 people on a small map.

We're planning to launch our Multiplayer Pack for both Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 17th, 2009 - for only 560 MS Points, or $7.00 on PSN.
First off, the DLC was supposed to come out on the 17th. We've contacted Sony to find out what occurred and why it went live early, but for now, yes, it appears to be live for a small portion of the population. Obviously, this was not intended.
For those unaware, DLC Pack 2 for PS3 users is now available on the US PSN store. All other versions including international PS3 and every 360 region, will go live as planned on September 17th. Since certain PS3 users now have the DLC, we're also going to update the playlists on PS3 only, which should go live in about an hour. This update will include the new Big Boomers as well, along with Double XP on "Big Boomers" and both Bagman modes.

Please note that you will need to have the DLC in order to even see the Bagman/Team Bagman playlists, but Big Boomers will be available to everyone.

**EDIT**
PS3 Big Boomers Playlist and Double XP is now LIVE. Enjoy!
hmm if it went live early, hope they dont pull it before i can get home and get it D:
The fact that they've included it in the playlists leads me to believe that it's staying in the store.
Too bad they didn't make any DLC for those of us with shitty internet connections who want some more single player fun after the main game is done.

You ever hear of DLC #1?
Not really. I know I saw two of them on the store earlier, but I wasn't 100% sure if that was a single player download or not.

I may download the DLC for Saint's Row 2 as well, since the main game left me wanting more after the credits screen got done rolling.

Randy and I just did a little tour of the maps. I like most of them, one of them I think I need to play with more people to get a feel for, and the islands map is just as horrid as I imagined (though it looks like it could be a really kick ass snipers only map). Most of the maps seem really small, bigger than quarantine but smaller than almost every ondisc map.
DLC installed, hey it mentions double xp in bagman not just the new playlist, bagman only night?
Yup. We should definitely play some all-CAGs Bagman (CAGman?) tonight!
What time? Could we do like 11pm est time/8pm pst?
It's at 10... but we'll still be playing at 11.
Yup. We should definitely play some all-CAGs Bagman (CAGman?) tonight!
(Tea)Bagman? I had someone do that to me on GTAIV the other night. They kept crouching over my head after they killed me n someone else sent me a message to tell me wtf they were supposed to be doing by crouching like that.

Suffice to say, I took my vengeance with a flaming car that I parked on top of them. :D

I may pop on in a bit and see if you guys are still playing, though I didn't download the multiplayer maps since I figure I'll be booted within 10 seconds of joining, so if you're playing one of the new maps I'm screwed.

That was awesome! All-hammers Bagman is a freakin' blast.

Thanks to everyone for playing...that was a great turnout for an off night.

We were pretty much only playing the new maps last night. You definitely would've been screwed, especially since it seemed our connection was pretty wonky most of the night.

That describes my connection most nights. :D Though it's still perfectly fine for GTAIV.
When did you guys end up quitting?
We were going to keep going, but couldn't get a pub game to save our lives, so we quit around 4am EST.
