I am so impressed by this thread's ability to function as a multifaceted communications tool regarding various topics and of course games. And yet somehow it still stays on topic in the end!!!!

I've been playing ACII since I posted earlier. I haven't seen any thread regulars on, though.

I just tried to start up Uncharted 2 to play with Metaly and Mr. B but it's forcing me to do the firmware update first.

I'm not addicted to my Twitter and only check it online through browsers, so by the time I got the messages it was too late anyway.



BUT, to keep it RF related, since GS comes through with a decent bundle on BF and I'm sitting on $220 on credit - I shall FINALLY have a replacement ps3.
 
The game still isn't up for download on the us store, its up in europe, I'm still without a key, but gamespot is giving away 65k keys in a few hours. The gamestop keys apparently say it won't be up until 11pm pacific, but lets all hope thats not true.

My PS3 just gave me the YLOD... I don't know when I'll be joining you guys again, but hopefully it's soon. And I was close to getting that 100,000 XP trophy... damn it! :bomb:

It's probably a little faster (or the same) to do 1:00 siege matches where no one destroys any targets. That got us around 100-150 for 2 minutes of play and, while I don't have the exact number (thanks to some jackass who quickly exited back to the lobby), I probably got around 1000 for the 30 minute hammer round.
Really, any quick kill anarchy/team anarchy(so you get points for kills your teammates do... at least I think you get a point for a "team kill"...) is a damn fast way to get experience.
 
I just played some Bad Company 2, its really fun, but its really built for hdtv's :cry: (super small map and text). For metaly, the medic gets a kick ass gun, which makes playing medic awesome, too bad everyone kept bleeding out before I could get to them.
 
I played a couple rounds of BC2 and it was pretty fun. I loved that there is MANUAL SPOTTING!!!!!!!!! BC1's spotting system was almost worthless.

Stuff I didn't really like:
1. Extreme camera sway and no obvious way to turn it off
2. Medics with LMGs (Sorry Mr. B. :) This does seem like it makes sense, I just miss 2142's combined assault/medic class.)
3. Still not a fan of Rush mode because everything gets centered around basically one spot on the map. I wish they had put a Conquest map into the beta.

Looking forward to seeing how the squad system works with you guys, and of course the PC beta. :cool:
 
Im up for anytime tonight, it looks like squads are limited to 4 or 5, and there is no way to guarantee were all in the same game much less the same side if we have more than that.

For flik, the trophy syncing worked for me earlier, because this popped up on my wall:

Yeah dude, I synced up my trophies last night actually, but thanks for the heads up anyways. It was fun playing BC2 with you even though the first round was basically AHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHAT DO I DO???????????????????????

We should give it a shot again tonight.
 
That's amazing that he can get up and put in his MW2 disc without moving his arms.

Also it sucks how much better everyone gets when you go from Mercenary TDM to party games but we should try playing anyway. If we get stomped too hard we can just do small private games. I was in a 2v3 deathmatch last night and it was fantastic.

Yeah but the game doesn't have a nice convenient way to access the invites like Red Faction or Uncharted, you have to go to your received messages to access the invite.

My name is so common that if I told you what it was you wouldn't believe me. I just hate having my picture taken period, plus Gordon Freeman is one smooth cat.

100% this, I don't think I could ever play something that was not Mercenary TDM, once you get put with parties of people that only play MW2 your pretty much screwed.

Sunday is socom night, so no go for me.
