Oh, and I saw Monster Hunter PSP on clearance at Target today for ~$20, if anyone's looking for a copy.

I'm up for some matches (as long as wasteland isn't involved), I'll probably be on at 9 or so.

The learning curve is fine, as long as you stick to mercenary team deathmatch, once you get put against people in parties that only play this game, its a whole other story...

Metaly, we need to finish spec ops, including the sniper missions :cry:.

I haven't played that new Bionic Commando game, but from what I've read, Capcom should pay YOU $10 to play it.

It's also about $23 on Amazon. Just make sure you get Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and not MHF1 or 2. I will personally bring you up to speed if you get it! The in-game tutorials kind of suck.

It might be a decent diversion for $10, but from what I've heard it doesn't sound like a good game. I strongly endorse getting Bionic Commando Rearmed off the PSN instead. That game is terrific.

Bionic Commando is far from great, but I think its worth checking out for $10. I had fun with it, flaws and all. But yeah, Rearmed on PSN is awesome.
 
Good stuff. MW2 is definitely way better when everyone talks and can coordinate. I enjoyed all those small TDMs, too. It's too bad you can't lock pub rooms at 4v4 or something.

Same time next week? Or Monday?
 
I wasn't blown away by MW2 multiplayer...which was pretty much my take on MW1's multiplayer. Maybe it'll grow on me but, coming out of last night's matches, I don't think this is something I'd commit a night of my week to. I'd rather play Uncharted 2.

I don't have any desire to "roll pubs" with this, either. Again, maybe this will change once I'm more confident with the controls and quirks. It blows that you don't earn XP in private games.

There's a 99.99999999% chance that I'm just going to play the campaign on easy and sell this off. With that in mind, I'll abstain from voting on Mondays or Wednesdays for this. I think it's obvious that I'd prefer to play RFG on Mondays.
 
If you guys want to convert Monday from RFG to Modern Warfare 2 that is fine, but I do not plan on ever getting MW2 unless the price drops to $30-$35 (or less).

I know that our group of players is almost never going to come to a 100% agreement on what new game to play but since RFG turnout is still very strong on our two nights I was hoping we'd convert Mondays to a new game that majority of us or all of us in a perfect world, would agree on in the future.

BOOOO to Modern Warfare 2 on Mondays! ;)
 
hmm well i already got rid of my uncharted 2 after noticing pub games taking longer and longer to get matches (and once i got play i figured i just trade out)... i still like rfg enough to play it twice a twice for a while longer. but ill be there next wed. if we all play again

I am definitely interested in playing some Uncharted 2 co-op games, but I don't want to do it on Mondays because of the strong turnout for RFG.

3 is the max cap for an Uncharted 2 co-op game right? (I am not terribly interested in the non co-op modes, but will give them a shot again if a bunch of people want to try). If that's the case we should just try and plan some Uncharted games on Tuesday or Friday nights, just in case you guys decide to keep doing smallish MW2 games every Wednesday.

Or we could just rotate games on Wednesdays, it's up to you all. :grouphug:

It's too bad we couldn't get into a pub game when we first tried because when we finally did later it was a lot of fun running around as a group. It is a little rough starting out, but I recommend sticking with it at least until level 9 when you get the Hardline perk. Then it's care package time!

It does suck about not getting XP in private games. RFG had the right idea.

Guess I missed this conversation. On a semi-related note, I'm in a class right now to learn programming in XNA and our teacher is apparently a big Doctor Who fan because he's had us do projects manipulating a model of a Dalek and of the silver robot alien guys.
 
As I told metaly, I think I'm down to one RFG night per week, most likely on thursdays. I just got burned out on the game playing it for 6+ hours per week.

DD, I enjoyed our little invite battle, I hoped I was above that, but I'm really not above childish tactics :D.
 
i think im gonna have to take a page out of mister_Bs book and start playing rfg only 1 night a week. at least for the next few weeks/month. Just got 3 games from goozex and need to get through at least 2 of em and trade em out. so ya...

I agree, I was just watching this video. Co-op would kick ass... its too bad.

I think he's ejecting from the jet right when that part starts (and there's a quick shot of flying the jet earlier in the video).
 
Hah man, it is going to take me a while to get used to seeing Square's name associated with games like this. Ironically, their purchase of Eidos might actually make my favorite developer from 1992-2003 relevant for me again.

I must be living in some sort of parallel dimension...

Just Cause 2 is definitely on my must buy (if it delivers) list.
 
The first Just Cause promised much of the same and it turned out to be a freakin' mess. That trailer looks like fun but I may have to wait for reviews/community consensus before putting down my $60.

Also: bump 'cause it's game day.

I've got 2 VPs and my regional director visiting my district this week so won't be around for Weds/Thurs. I'll definitely be on tonight, though!
