CAG/PS3 Red Faction: Guerrilla Night [Thursdays @ 10pm EST]

For some reason the vocals remind me a lot of Interpol. I've mainly just listened to their first album though so I might just be imagining it. Interpol is probably rocking-er than Fanfarlo.

I'm pretty sure I'm done with Left 4 Dead.

Sounds like that xxx guy will be around for BF2, so I'll definitely be doing that. I can probably play Modern Warfare at around 6 Pacific for an hour + however long the SOCOM match takes.

Ultimately it means that I'll have to spend another 5 hours or so in the car between Thursday and Friday. It may not be pathetic but it certainly blows.

I trust it'll be worth it, though. ;)
 
No one was on at 6 so Mr. B and I played some Spec Ops before we had to ship to China. We'll get a game going eventually though.
 
I just bought and am currently downloading Battlefield 2142 Deluxe
and Mass Effect, both games for 14.35, I couldn't pass that up
, so I hope you keep up your end of the deal Metaly ;).
 
Boo, I was going to make a similar post in the SOCOM thread later on but you beat me to it. :razz: Awesome news, though. Mass Effect is a great game, too.

Highlight of the Night: Randy driving 2.5 hours just to play, and then basically being the top player of the evening. You poor soul, get that Ostrich so you can start phoning it in on a weekly basis.

Lowlight of the Night: Randy owned everyone.
 
Yeah, good games everyone. Props to the B squad for murdering us in a bunch of those games. As usual, I blame everyone but myself. (Apparently that's Randy's job now anyway.)

Let me know if you guys want to party up again while the 5X thing is going on. Maybe Saturday?

How long did you guys play?

I got dropped and got tired of waiting for a new invite... though, honestly, it was fine with me I didn't get an invite again... I was already tired as shit.

Looks like they're having some contest (or some shit) on twitter for the highest single round XP... we should cheat and get someone like 4000 xp. XD

I stayed until about 2am.

The winner (so far) only has 1650xp. Didn't one of us do better than that last night?

Metaly came close to 1500 pts and I neared 1450 at one point. I think a bunch of us topped 1300 pts frequently as well.

We could easily do an xp boost and get someone a ton of experience. All we'd need to do is a public siege game on gauntlet and let one team completely dominate, simply allow that one team to get 1000000000000 kills and clear the entire level.

Then when it is their turn to defend, the other team just needs to simply do nothing.

On further thought it would require a minimum 10 of us to make this happen so maybe it wouldn't be so easy......
 
Man last night was fun. I do believe my neighbors are well aware when it's CAG Red Faction Night. It's only after we're done do I realize how loud my sound system is cranked up to.
 
Quick question(s) Zen.

1) Do you live in an apartment? If so, how the hell do you not get noise complaints if you play your system so loud? Just curious.

2) How can you play the game so loud and still hear us over the headset? I have my surround system turned super low so I can hear the chatter.
 
1. Yeah an apartment No clue. None. My best guesses is either the walls are better insulated then I think, no one really cares, or it's the directionality of the surround sound system which is really apparent at some levels and modes.

2. The official mic is really decent, and while it is loud, it's loud around me. It's not right in my ear like the mic, which is turned up to full volume. Sometimes I have trouble hearing some folks when the connection isn't as good and I press the volume up button forgetting it's already at max and I press it again and it does that super loud 3 beeps in my ear, that hurts.


Oh yeah, be playing RFG this weekend. If you see me online at all, send me an invite, I'm not playing anything else seriously until AC2 arrives.

Yea I heard good things about AC2, might have to give it a shot after xmas. Im still at work but I should be able to play tonight at like 9pm pst

I think I got 1650 exp on one map last night
